I used to go out alone when I was traveling for work and it’s fucking great. You have the perfect reason for going out alone, you have a hotel room close by usually AND best of all, there’s a time limit. You meet a girl and she likes you and she knows you’re leaving town tomorrow it’s now or never. Doing it in my hometown though I lose all of those advantages and look like a loser with no friends and around here there are no nightclubs, there’s bars and they aren’t huge or anything so it would be damn hard to go out and pull on any consistent basis.

Meta/s Do you have your kid full time? In my mid 20s I had my son 3-4 days a week, those days were mine and his days, I never got a babysitter or pawned him off on someone else. Occasionally after he went to bed I’d have someone over that I was already fucking. Then the nights I didn’t have him I went out, no different than being a single guy UNLESS it becomes useful, some chicks will be into you being a single dad and it’ll be a turn on, others won’t give a shit either way. I don’t think it ever hindered me in anyway at all. Be proud of it and own it, don’t ever make it sound like a bad thing when you’re talking to them. It’ll be harder if you have your kid full time obviously depending on age. You’ll have to figure out babysitters and such. Also make sure if you’re bringing girls back to your place that it doesn’t look like a daycare exploded with toys and shit every where. Make sure it’s all cleaned up before you go out.
Now I’m 38, divorced with 3 kids to 2 people. That’s a much harder sell than a single dad with one kid.
