FIFA 14 is a sports association football simulation video game developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports. It was released in September 2013 for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Microsoft Windows.It was released as a freemium, under the title FIFA 14 Mobile, for iOS and Android on September 23, 2013 and for Windows Phone 8 on February 28, 2014, although much of the game is inaccessible without an in-app payment. It was a launch title for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in November 2013.The PlayStation 2 version was only released in PAL territories and Spanish-speaking markets.It was the last game released for the system. The PlayStation Portable version was only released as a digital download in North America
A demo of the game was released worldwide on September 10, 2013 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows. Teams included in the demo are PSG, Barcelona, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, A.C. Milan, Borussia Dortmund, New York Red Bulls and Boca Juniors.
The Wii, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita versions are branded as FIFA 14: Legacy Edition, and retain features and gameplay from previous respective releases in the FIFA series, with only their kits, soundtrack and team squads updated.The PlayStation 2 version is only available in South America, Europe and Australasia.
The Android and iOS versions were released on September 21, 2013. They were the first FIFA games to be released under the Free-to-play pricing model
Lionel Messi returns as the main cover star for all regions on the global cover, having also been on the cover of FIFA 13 and FIFA Street.[25] The United States has both the global cover, and a Javier Hernández cover. It is the first title in the series since FIFA 2001 that the FIFA Soccer moniker was not used in North America.
Gareth Bale originally featured on the UK and Irish cover in the colours of his former club Tottenham Hotspur,but EA Sports later updated the cover to feature Bale in a Real Madrid kit, due to his transfer to the Spanish club.

I remember when they demonstrated the PS3 physics. It was so far ahead of the PS2 it was amazing to see. The jump from PS3 to PS4 wasn't that significant imho. Just like the jump from PS4 to PS5 is even less impressive. Somehow developers are getting bottlenecked by software limitations, > Hard and time consuming workflow.
@@marmitaa8619 agree. There are a few titles which gave me that feeling. Fifa 14, GTA5, Crysis, AC Unity.. I think there is still huge potential in the future. UE5 Matrix demo showed it. It's time for some UE5 games now. The progress is slower compared to back then for sure.

I played 14 on Xbox some years ago, but I never played it on ps2 until now, and wow it’s so fun, love the gameplay and animations are on spot
Back then while playing I didn’t mind the graphics but now when I look back I realize how bad they were, I remember FIFA 14 being on mobile as well.

It's because it pretty much is. On PS2 the Fifa games after 07~08 were just rehash of the previous game with only the menu graphics and teams and players being updated. Matter of fact they don't bother to update players appearance, for example on Fifa 14 players like Messi or Ramos still appeared with long hair, even tough they had short hair for years by that point.
