    Good morning Pam! 🤗
Fun video and so encouraging 👏🏻👏🏻 I’ve never seen the propagation process of the terracotta pot in a pot! But that is so smart! I have got to try this.
So good to find your video this morning ☕️🌻🍄
Can you believe the heat this week? Lol 😂 crazy looks like next will be beautiful tho, and I’m thankful
    Have a lovely day!

The terra cotta pot worked well but you need to be sure you get true terra cotta. I tried this with what I thought was terra cotta and did not realize I had some pots that were like a concrete with terracotta coating. Once I had the right pots it worked great but it did take longer than the aquaponics method. At least for me it did. Yes, yesterday was a scorcher! I don't have it nearly as bad as you. But next week will feel much better and enjoyable.

I only get own root roses also as my weather is like yours. I will definitely try the double pot technique. Yes, roses like light. I would really need to pay attention if I set them in the sun once rooted as I tend to forget about them.
We have been having cooler-drier air finally, however it is too dry as we are in drought and no rain in site again. This happened in September and one weekend we got 6” and that was it. Mother Nature could space it out a bit😅.
Average frost is 9/25 and we were close this morning 36F. It may happen Monday. I guess I’m ready, just have some fall cauliflower and need to figure out what to do with all the great peppers we were blessed with.
I like the idea of using hardware cloth, but if the roots get too big the cloth would need to be cut. Wonder if chicken wire would be better. I think you run an aerator in the box? I think that would help prevent the water from going bad and alleviate changing water-right?
    Thanks for the ideas.
Those planes going over here are nerve wracking. Too many people driving us crazy. When I was a kid a random plane flew over and it was gone. Today they fly around and around and around. After the 4th round my hand isn’t waving friendly gestures. They practice stalled engine restarts and many are not quiet. It’s too much and many crash. We down here should have the right for peace and quiet. I understand the fire spotters, but ours are just aggravating 🤬.

The plane going overhead was a fire spotter, usually they don't fly around unless someone has spotted smoke in the forest which spells forest fire. With how hot and dry it has been and breezy that could spell disaster around here. We are all hoping for some rain to dampen things down. Yes, I run an fish tank pump into the water filling it with oxygen.

@@FlowerPatchFarmhouse we are in drought also amazing enough after all the non stop rain this summer. We had one 6” rain storm in September. That was a lot of rain all at once and it soaks into the sand really quick and we are dried up once again. We are in a gasoline alley also-cedars and oaks. We’ve had a long grow season and just listened to Prairie Plant Girl in CN and they are definitely cooling off. I’ve been lazy with this nice weather and hope my hands heal up so I can get some fall stuff done-couple years ago a childhood eczema problem returned this time on my hands 😭.

Thank you Pam. I need to try this method. Typically I place cuttings in damp perlite until they start to root, then transfer them to a soil mix of compost, coco coir, and fine pine bark. Works about 60-70% of the time. This water propagation seems quite promising. Anything you would change about the water method going forward?
