Seeing Pantora made me think of Senator Riyo Chuchi. We should gotten at least a 2 part special in The Clone Wars that tied up the loose end of her character. She had potential, but they pushed her to the side...

I guess that you could compare what the empire did with Pantora to the real life with the Roman Empire withdrawing from Dacia and fortifying the Danube leaving their former settlements to fend for themselves
Not exactly as Dacia was a full on province in the Empire, Pantora is more like the Crimea kingdom that was a vassal of Rome, left out in the cold during the later empire.

The rest was a "vassal", or rather, a region under occupation from the neighbouring moesia (as it wasn't a state really, it was simply a group of thribes collectively known as the free Dacians). The Roman empire and Trajan fought those difficult wars against the Dacians for their gold. That was the only reason they did so. Weirdly, all cultures of the time that knew of the Dacians had a lot of respect for them, including Trajan himself and well as Herodotus and Cassius Dio

The Spice Cartel means the Pykes are involved, too bad, if it was a fraction of the Hutts then after Boba takes over Jabba's Empire or what's left of it, he might have been able to help Pantora, he is a much more fair boss then the Hutts or Empire.
Droping Pantora would have been the stupidest move Sidious could have taken. Basicaly a developed forward base into wild space with plenty of infrastructure to for example support secret instalations further into wild space leaving that simply for graps gives either criminal elements a very powerfull base of operation or worse a safe heaven for rebel elements. I mean Pentora basicaly just needs to provide space for repairs and gatherin and taking resources as payment heck they could go as far as make a critical investation for some space dock facilitys and they are set as THE port for anyone not to friendly with the Empire

The Galactic Empire was a totalitarian government that would terrorize its own people for the mere suspicion of rebellion, and worlds that out of the way were perfect for these tactics. The Galactic Empire later brutality could perhaps been identified by the people if they took the time to really see the Empire for what it could really be.
I was excited to see Pantora again. There are so so many worlds in the Star Wars galaxy, and for every new one I learn of mostly from you guys @ Geetslys and books I lose one from a terrible attention span. I was only able Pantora from Avatar. 😂

If Pantora is such a remote planet and the Empire has no interest in it like whatsoever, why the Rebels Alliance never considered aided the Pantorans to become an independent republic? At least, I think Saw and his Partisans would be willing to help for sure as long as they get to kill a bunch of Stormtroopers. Heck, Pantora may even the good place for the surviving Jedi to lay low during the Age of the Empire while do not have to concern about running out of supplies and shelters.
I think it was probably because the rebellion had enough on its plate with just taking off in the first place. Pantora was so far out and in too awkward of a spot. The rebels probably did consider helping, they just didn’t have the resources to do much. I’m sure the figured if they were able to establish the new republic, they would be able to help a lot of systems that they weren’t able to during the age of the empire.

I don't quite understand the Star Wars logic here - while completely isolated countries in the real world tended to lag behind technologically sooner or later, they didn't automatically become hellholes. And not having many inherently precious ressources to exploit often lead to specialisation on highly processed goods while remaining unappealing for foreign powers to conquer.
When you are surrounded by crime syndicate and warloads then yes, your planet does become a hell hole. You cant defend yourself because your army left and all trade to your planet has ended.
That’s only really true if the country is left untouched for a long time. Pantora was heavily reliant on trade with the republic, and the empire pretty much cut it all off. If Pantora had developed self sufficiently then yeah, they’d be fine, but because they were so dependant on the republic, once that was gone, they were pretty screwed. For example, if all of a sudden, all trade with the United States completely shut off, they would also become economically unstable. Maybe not as bad as pantora, just because of how rich the country is, but nonetheless, still something to think about.
The Pantorians might have been happy when the Empire first arrived, but I see what happens after the parade is over. Citizens are forced to work as slave labor, while critics and protesters are arrested, executed, or shipped off to who knows where.
I suppose it's possible they set up their own mining operations and whatnot to become truly self-sufficient. But it's not very likely, particularly if they weren't doing it BEFORE they got cut off.
That's where the fiction fails, I think. Any civilization that could become spacefaring on their own would have been sufficient enough to survive. They might have had to resurrect old industries, but they had twenty years to do it. Unless they'd turned their moon into an ecumenopolis, they should still have had access to the moon's natural resources.

almost like it’s the most common team trope. The leader, the heavy/funny guy, the tech, and the edgy one. Echo is refreshing though, because he doesn’t really fit into any of these tropes. But that also makes his character feel a little under developed in the show. The droid scene was 10/10 though😂💙
Can you elaborate more on the resources they needed? Often in these star wars videos resources is used but never specificed on what kind like food, medicine, or raw materials. Food and some medicine can be home grown especially in a green house if the medicine you are trying to grow won't grow on the planet. Now raw resources may be the one resource they can't get if the planet it elf doesn't have.
It seems that most Pantorans are in the Service sector so the Government has to trade to make up for the lack in the Industrial Sector and The Agricultural Sector

The bad batch series sucks, not even weed can make it interesting, it dose have really good graphics and it’s nice to see this era get explored more especially for the younger generations but episode 3&4 just feel like a complete waste of time and they could’ve done better.

We'd get to see more Pantorans on screen if it was easy to put Na'vi make up on actors.

Kind of a filler episode tbh
The bad batch series sucks, not even weed can make it interesting, it dose have really good graphics and it’s nice to see this era get explored more especially for the younger generations but episode 3&4 just feel like a complete waste of time and they could’ve done better.
Thats just your opinion.Many people enjoyed it and get this they can enjoy it sober. Maybe it's a you problem just saying
I rather like it. It is definitely made to be kid-friendly but story-wise I think it is doing quite well. A worthy successor to TCW.
3 and four where okay they are just meant to be filler in a way till the main story catches up, all shows have there calmer episodes.
