Wow there is alot going on here, I tend to leave music projects that Im struggling with anything from a day to 10 years or more. The project's that sound good withing a hour are the ones that I finish.
What auto tune software do you use? The “digital” almost robotic sound is so good. Do you have a lot of editing you do to your vocals? I try to get my vocals like that but I struggle. I also use FL studio for everything so that might be a barrier for me.
antares realtime in the uad rack - i would say the effect comes more from layering compression and distortion, i dont edit vox very much tbh more about the performance of them
how do you make your tracks sound distorted but without making everything sound like a mess? the bass still sounds clear even though the track is very saturated and distorted
The only solution is to get a more powerful computer but a Razer style gaming laptop should have all the power you need for music production i7 and up.
