The Kills celebrate their ten year anniversary this poignant and playful video for 'The Last Goodbye', taken from their latest album 'Blood Pressures'. Directed by the Oscar nominated actress Samantha Morton, who made her directorial feature debut with the critically acclaimed 'The Unloved', this is her first music video.
Shot in monochrome on crisp, silvery 35mm, the video reflects the beautiful simplicity of the track, with an old-school photo booth providing an intimate backdrop for Mosshart's intense and heart-warming opening performance followed by a series of touching to-camera poses reflecting the musicians' longstanding, spirited friendship.

Industry Season 3 finale got me here. Beautifully fits in the narrative of how Rob & Yasmin's love acquaintance comes to a close. It feels like a letter to Rob explaining her actions. It made me relate to a relationship that ended like this. And know I understand. I understand her reasons. And it makes me happy, not angry anymore. It's positively comforting to see modern cinema & OTT come up with such smartly written and produced work.

Anyone else here from elite? This last season was an emotional rollercoaster as it had me in tears so many times. I didn’t know it was possible to be in love with a series.
This is a heartcrushing video. I've never noticed it before but gosh jamie gave the emotion so damn good. A man who only loves himself and a woman who loves that man. She breaks her own heart because although she knows how harmful he is, she can't give up on her love. But then she realizes, it has to be over. God my soul is crushed.
Happened to me last Sunday and it's about a woman who only loved herself and me a man who loved her.
Yes the song itself reminds me of my last relationship, but the video really brought it closer.
I suspect the man in this scenario is actually unable to love himself, and due to that he is not able to fully be in love; or to love another, like this woman. We cannot love or be in love from a state of lack, from lack we rely on taking that love from others.
This is like a beautiful yet tragic mantra to realize to not give too much of yourself away in compromise. I must admit I keep coming back to remember.
I used to listen to this song on loop to feel better... I love this song so much, it's really beautiful and so perfect with Alison's powerful voice.

I finished season 3 of elite a couple months ago and gave myself a slight bit of hope that in the new season Carla and Samuel would have their endgame, then i found this song and knew it was truly their “last goodbye”. How heartbreaking.

He stood at the door ready to go, my heart sank, 2 hours goes fast. He looked at me, his sad eyes ready as a river to flow. It was no Christmas time for him, yet the snow outside told me it was, but that's all it was to us both. I wrapped his neck warm with his yellow favourite scarf, his presents in a carrier bag at his side held in his little gloved hand. In my heart I knew it was the last goodbye, somehow those cruel had made sure of that. For a moment I turned away from him, they say not to look those you love in the eye, not when you lie to them.
