    I have been looking for a video like this for a while and finally came across yours. This is exactly what I needed! Thank you so much for showing what each program looks like and how it works! You have saved me so much time. You also were right to the point without a lot of fluff and I really appreciate that, ha! Thank you so much, again!

    Since esingapore Math only goes up to 5th grade, what would be your second choice for a highschooler struggling in Math? Elephant Learning????

      Denison Algebra!!! My 14 year old was in tears nearly everyday until we found this. He is amazing and teaches in such a way that it's easy to remember and builds on each lesson! I have been singing his praises to anyone who is struggling!

    Hi Amanda! I really appreciate your videos! Very detailed and to the point, very helpful! I have a 12 y.o. who has been doing well with Primary Mathematics, currently finishing up 6th grade. She would like to start 7th grade immediately and I would need her to do as much of it independently as possible. But I have no problem explaining when it's needed. Beast Academy was a bit too challenging for her, though. Could you recommend an online program you think might work for us? Thanks so much!!

      I'm working on a review of teaching textbooks right now. They have a really good free trial if you want to check it out. You might also like CTC Math.

      @@AmandaMelrose Thanks so much for your reply!!! I used your link to sign up for the free trial of TT!! But their material seems much easier than Primary Mathematics. So does IXL math. It seems that way to me, from signing up for both trials with your links. I will try CTC Math then. If esingapore is only up to grade 5. If you can think of something that doesn't cost $500 like AOPS and is closer to Primary Mathematics material, I would really appreciate the heads-up

    Hi Amanda, after using the e-singapore math for the year are you happy about the outcome? I have been using CTC and Khan academy and possibly will want to change.

      My daughter isn't a huge fan of doing math online, but we use Dimensions math which uses singapore math it's just a print version. And I'll say I think you kind of have to use it from the beginning to get the most out of it. The approach for us has been very different than what we were using before (which was more like how I learned math as a kid). So even though it's an easy to follow program, I'm thinking of switching back to something more "old fashioned" because my daughter seems to do better (possibly because I explain it better?)

    My daughter 100% agrees with you about ALEKS math. We are homeschooling the first time this next year, and she begged me not to use that, as she has been using it in public school 😂 She likes the look of IXL 😊Thank you for doing this video.

    Thank you so much! I have e-singapore, elephant learning, IXL, Khan and was confused, but my decision to stay with e-singapore stands even more after watching your video, e-singapore can be used as a full curriculum correct?

    • @AmandaMelrose
      @AmandaMelrose  5 месяцев назад

      Yes it can be used as a full curriculum. For more challenge you might want to purchase the dimensions or math in focus textbooks and use this as a supplement. But it can be your main curriculum. This link might help: esingaporemath.com/blog/singapore-math-comparison-guide
