Nope, that's only true for the Lightning element and partially for the Grass element. Only the Lightning element got the dinosaurs which are related, ie., the Ceratopsian dinosaurs. Grass element has almost all Hadrosaurids(if move cards not counted) with a few exceptions like Fukuisaurus and Iguanodon. Earth element got a variety of dinosaurs ranging from Ankylosaurids to Stegosaurids which are not really similar except for their diet. Wind element too got a variety of dinosaurs ranging from the Raptors to Allosaurus to Deltadromeus. Same for fire, T-rex, Saurophaganax, Carcharodontosaurus are from different families of dinos. Water too ranges from Sauropods like Jobaria to Spinosaurids as you said. Secret element got a variety of different unrelated dinos with different diets. The only thing common among the fire, wind dinosaurs is that they're all carnivores and among the plant, earth dinosaurs is that they're herbivores.

I know lightning is the best one, but all of them see to have similar attributes or something in common, such as fire, mainly being large carnivores it doesn't matter whether their genus or species necessarily and for earth they seem to be the armored or plated dinosaurs which are mainly as you said ankylosaurids or stegosaurids I agree with you on all of these but they all seem to be at least somewhat similar to the rest of their card type except for a few exceptions along the way

It's also ironic they were put into different cards instead of share one like the pteranodons, deinonychus, and velociraptors. In case you don't remember, green impulse can summon 7 tupuxuaras, and the anhanguera dive summoned 2 anhangueras in the haunted hunt.
I think they were only keeping track of the total number of separate species in Season 1. But you're right. Technically, there are 38 Dinosaur Cards in total, not counting move cards, Black T. rex, or any of the extra dinosaurs in Episode 27.

I think they only counted Futabasaurus, Pawpawsaurus and Velociraptor in the recap because no new non-move card dinosaurs were found in those later episodes.

Well, we didn’t see any new dinosaurs this time so we didn’t get any dinosaur cards either but we’ve already collected 29 of them so far and that’s not bad.
