Join me for a glimpse into my art student life as I prepare for a mid-critique, work on experimental printmaking, and reflect on my creative journey this semester! 🎨✨
This week, I’m juggling three different projects:
Master's Thesis: A large poster exploring pigeons in the city 🐦
Illustration: Collaborating on a book about idioms of time-my idiom is “to lose track of time”
Experimental Printmaking: Diving into intaglio techniques and rediscovering childhood memories through my old drawings
Watch as I experiment with colors for lino cut prints, work through techniques like soaking paper for intaglio, and share the joys (and struggles) of being a Master's student in printmaking. I also talk about the inspiration behind my projects, from Latvia’s cultural elements to deeply personal reflections on memory and creativity.
Between critiques, art markets, and studio sessions, life at the Art Academy is busy but fulfilling. It’s hard work, but I remind myself how lucky I am to live this dream.
