Hey, I only have a pi4, 8gb and it works fine, except for movie files larger than about 8gb I have movies 4K and 15gb + size, but it doesn’t buffer and the videos just take forever to load and ultimately it’s unwatchable. Would the pi5 handle this?

When I use the command "mkfs.ext4 /sda" or "mks.ext4 /sda2" I am presented with an error. "The file /sda2 does not exist and no size was specified". Anyone have any tips on how to get around this?
You can test for me the video whose source code needs to be transcoded because on jellyfin it says "Raspberry Pi 5 lacks hardware encoders completely." so if there is video transcoding, is it weaker than the pi 4 and also requires htop
Hey nice Video. Is it possible to install casa OS on a raspberry pi 5 IF a Maria DB is installed and running? Or does the casa OS eliminate the Maria DB?
I'm struggling so much trying to use your videos. They're all written to use a single hard drive. It's been so difficult. I had to seek out help for over a week just to figure out I needed to use labels on fstab so drives would be statically addressable by the OS instead of moving.😢 Now I'm trying to set up Jellyfin, but I can't figure out how to add three drives to libraries because they're not showing up even when I add three volumes to the Host section you show at 10:19. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I cannot find a single guide or video online for how to use multiple drives in a media server. I'm losing my mind.

@@kskroyaltechI finally figured it out and got the drives working. The instructions for adding multiple drive to Jellyfin required adding multiple volume hosts with multiple containers in settings. Now I can't get anything to play on any of my smart TVs. I've been looking at that, and it looks like Jellyfin doesn't have the proper permissions to access the files. All videos are showing "This item cannot be played" and music files will not stream.
@@kskroyaltechI know the IP address, I can see it connected in the router. Once it is rebooted, it no longer connects to the internet - it doesn't show up in the router - perhaps it has something to do with the DHCP settings, I really don't know. I swapped out ethernet cables, just in case. I started at the beginning of this video three times with fresh installs of the OS.

YEP for sure. Give a try. Make sure to overclock the PI to improve the performance a bit.

Check the IP address of your Raspberry Pi 5 by logging into WIFI router, and paste it with a port number 8096 on your web browser.
