The last 2 months have been my best selling months in fair in 2 years.
At the start it took a long time to be seen . I have noticed that adding collections and updating images has helped me a lot.

So glad you’re liking the series! I personally love wholesale as an additional revenue stream, and just like anything you can control it. But it’s good to not have all your eggs in one basket and just do direct to consumer, at least in my opinion!

Thank you so much for sharing this info. Your transparency and insight are super helpful. I would LOVE to see a video on your decision to opt in/out of the Faire Insider program that they are pushing hard right now. Very few RUclipsrs have created content around this, perhaps because it's still new.

Thank you! I opted in the “test” it but the program doesn’t start until August 22nd so I won’t have much to share until after it’s launched. Will add to my list of future topics though!

@@caitlinblue ok. To clarify I was mostly referring to content around your reasoning for opting in, not any results you’ve received from the opt in. I just watched a webinar on the program so I’m probably in overthinking mode right now. lol. Thanks for responding.

Thank you for your transparency! That is one of the reasons I watch your channel! I am just starting to get into wholesaling (I currently have a brick & mortar) and found how saturated Faire was with soaps.
I also have a question with Faire, who is responsible for collecting payment? I know that the wholesaler doesn't have to pay for 60 days, but what happens if you ship the product and they don't pay?
Thanks so much for your generosity with your info and time!

This is very helpful. I wanted to join Faire (on the waitlist), but all the videos I could find are 2 or more years old. I feel like some of my items would be an excellent fit, but not all.
I do Fused glass, which is hit or miss on what people want. I am thinking about moving out into neutral home decor, which I hear is super popular right now. I'm fond of bright colours, but who does their bathroom in bright red?
Do you have a suggestion on another wholesaling website?

I'm still debating it...I have to run the numbers because almost all of my Faire sales have been direct. I have to pay for direct shipping so I'm feeling like it's not in my favor. I may turn it on in August when the program goes live to test it and see.

Hi Caitlin! You said that Shopify stores will pull images and descriptions. Does that mean customers on Faire can use the Faire seller’s images in their own Shopify shops? Or does that violate image copyright? I hope that question makes sense. I’m totally new to this

Good day.. we are a major wholesaler on faire and one item not brought up that is driving us to leave faire is, there current as of today aug 14th 2024 screening of who is actually a retailer and who actually are end customer buyers.
Sadly my marketing team tested this out by cresting a fake account and there was no system wide check if we were a valid retailer. Sellers on faire beware for 2 reasons.
    1. With low min, you are directly cutting out your local retailers by inadvertently selling wholesale to retail customers which in turn the wholesaler per state law (45 out of 50.states have state sales tax) that the wholesaler owes the state tax!!!! Uh oh :(
    2. You are destroying your established retailers customer base by selling DTC (thier customers) nevermind a devaluation of your own product.
I enjoyed your videos and my company does around 300k a year on faire, but my.ethics are pointing me to jump ship... with respect of my 2000 retailers world wide.
Food for thought and good luck everyone!!!
