First a Finnish folk song, then sang by Loituma, later covered by Hatsune Miku, and Bilal Göregen in the "Cat vibing to Ievan Polkka" meme -- now also on stepper motors!

It's just an Arduino UNO with 4 A4988 stepper motor drivers. I've uploaded the controller source code at cgit.typeblog.net/stepper-motor-synth/, though it's not the latest version (but should be exactly the version when I made this video).
@@steppermotorquartet6509 That's cool! I'm doing a similar project. I see that you're doing some compressed tuning; I'll have to try that myself and see what I think of the sound.
I also notice that you've spiced up the harmony a bit-I think the original just had F#m and C#m chords, but you've put in some D chords too. It gives it kind of a "dangerous" sound (I can't think of how else to describe it). It sounds pretty cool!
