I was skeptical when I bought two packages of this tape - “$3.50, really?” I thought - and even as I watched the video I was still a doubter. But I needed this product because I bought a hat that was simply too big. Well guess what...it works. My hat fits like a glove! (Or...like a hat.)
Ive considered felt stick on pads that go on the bottom of furniture, to use in the hat. They are felt and i can get them from any hardware store or in the hardware section
What if you can't put it under the sweatband? My sweatbands on one fedora are very stiff leather and putting the tape under the hat to make it fit buckles out the stiff leather so it cuts into my head. Is it okay just to stick it to the outside? Or should I just buy another hat?

Hi there! Yes you can stretch a hat but typically a half-size is about as far as you want to go to avoid damaging the hat. Though if the hat has shrunk over time, you may then be able to get even more from it. When doing this we typically recommend steaming the hat thoroughly to loosen the fibers, then apply a hat stretcher and let it sit for a few hours or overnight. Cleaning hats is a delicate process, each material has it's own techniques and the best way for all of them is constant upkeep and prevention. But that being said, you should check on your material and then make a search because there is a good article for each material.

Sides don’t work as well as most people have a gap there naturally anyway. Back works best and you feel it less than the front.

I have the opposite problem. One size fits all hats are too small.

will this work with camp caps
How would u reshape on of those hats n clean them cuz I have two that unfortunately got crushed will cleaning them in a ignorant way

Or for temporary use a plastic bag from walmart's till you get home
