It's just another monopolistic ploy to keep the money coming their way and the hardware/software boy having "new" stuff to market. I have a Sandy Bridge Intel (2nd gen core i3 2120 with Intel HD graphics) PC with 8 GB DDR3 RAM, 240 GB SATA SSD for Windows+software and 1 TB HDD for data. I'm not a gamer, just play Sims 4 sometimes. I have the latest build of Windows 10 installed. As far as my usage is concerned, it works like a charm. I do want to build a new PC but at a time when a good Ryzen 3 APU or 12th gen Intel i3 APU is released at a fair price to retail. I wish till then I'm able to run Windows 11 on my current PC that has Directx 11, no TPM, no secure boot.
It works Thinkpad L430 i53380m 8GB RAM, just one thing, widgets only works with 8gen graphics drivers because old drivers don't load the widget's screen and theres empty when you have old drivers.
it's a developer preview not the official release of Windows 11. Misleading, and no point in doing this type of content until the official release is out in October of 2021. MS can change this between now and release of official.
You know there is insider preview right? Microsoft already released it to 8th gen and avove pc's . I've tried it as well. I'm not recommending this to install developer preview by any means. I uploaded this video before the official insider release. But if you install insider preview you will get future updates if windows 11 no problem.

It's quite tragic that Microsoft is trying to kill off old but still very much functional hardware, ironically that include their pre-2018 surface lineup 😂.

this is September of 2021. a different build is already available for downloading. v20000.184, which is very much different from the DEV / consumer preview version, v19996.51. the same mentioned tricks can be performed and windows defender is functional in it too.

This is Developer preview. Which came much earlier. In my case the windows 11 insider preview which you called real windows 11 is not released to public and there was no leaks of that as well. I've installed that as well in my latest video. Same method works without any issues.
Do you have tpm module on your laptop? Did you replace files in win 11 with those from win 10 or just copied? Many things you didn't said,secure boot must be enabled in B.I O.S.

This is Developer preview so settings and some features are same to Windows 10. So its gets me windows 11 insider update but it still detects my tpm is not compatible. But now I've installed Windows insider update from this method its full-on windows 11. I will do a another video about that as well.

Worth noting that these methods likely only work because this is the developer preview edition, and the actual final release will have much stricter controls that you can't bypass. Of course by then MS might have done the sensible thing and tossed this nonsense, but I wouldn;t bet on it.

In this developer preview yes. I tried it but didn't succeed so I've downloaded the insider preview iso and installed it. Works super fine. Also i got some updates after it. It can trust little bit cause it's the official release. But fingers crossed 😕

I just cleaned installed the windows 11 insider preview on my HP i3 6th Generation Processor, with 8gig Ddr4 Ram, HDD 2Trb western digital. And everything works fine, I only turned on the Secure Boot option on. So the idea that it works only for 8th gen Processor and above is not true.

No i haven't faced any issues with it. It also received latest updates as my ryzen 7 4800h laptop which officially support windows 11. Ony issue is the widget panel won't work.

In my case I'm using windows 10 copy from 2018. They might have changed that to install.esd to install.wim cause the latest windows 11also have install.wim

Yes. In my case both are enabled in default. My tpm level is 1.2. and you have to replace all other filels exept install.esd to bootable USB

So its from 2015 equals to 6th gen of intel. You can use this method. Your device is capable no problem. But Microsoft requires 8th gen or above.

Yes it will. Processor can handle it no problem. But SSD is recommended to get very smooth experience.

The reason Microsoft made the requirements so high is because they want more OEM sales (pc shipped with windows 11 sales)

Ultra iso for first method bro. Usually it doesn't work well. You don't need ultra iso for 2nd method. Only u need winrar. Its much faster and easier.

i've a question, windows 10 20H2 which what i has doesn't have an Install.esd file it has it named Install.wim
what I saw in the vid that it's the same size as mine but i'm still not sure is that the correct file or no
In my case I'm using windows 10 copy from 2018. They might have changed that to install.esd to install.wim cause the latest windows 11also have install.wim

This is windows 11 developer built. So its pretty early relies. You can do this to insider preview as well.

I have an i5 6th gen cpu, sorted tpm and secure boot but just realised I need an 8th gen cpu, will this work?
Yeah 8th gen processors are supported. This is developers preview built this may have some more restrictions.
