Just subscribed to see what's next. I am wanting to upgrade the clutch in my 1kXL and have watched a lot of videos, one of which makes me wonder if a company paid him.
The specifics in the upgrades matter, the "upgraded" unit is, part wise, more for low end torque and mudding, vs drag racing and top speed. So, do it in thick mud OR with 400lbs in the bed.
Great video!! And yes those M1 Evils are extremely heavy compared to those smaller stock tires.. and like you said the Windshield is nothing but a parachute
If Lee only had the tune and clutch as his upgrades, he would have beat me. However, those M1 Evils are VERY heavy, and the windshield acts like a parachute. Therefore, his acceleration suffered greatly.
Windows for sure not making you faster… less aero… the doors also just added weight… the tires may help on pavement a little, but there most likely also heavier… slower… and less traction on dirt gravel and grass… every option his has is for comfort..
Listen imho having both front an rear windows isn’t gonna effect it that much if anything it helps with aerodynamics of the machine. That’s like saying having to cars won’t with no windows and one with them that the one without is going to be faster! If anything the one without windows is going to have more internal drag than with the windshield. Yes them m1 evils are heavy but with a tune a clutch upgrade it should be faster off the line. Nonetheless great video
Yeah. He should have been faster even by a smidge. I run 28s with a half windshield cage and other mods I’m allot heavier then my cousin and his is bone stock or was at that time and I whooped him by a foot witch would be more comparable. Not he has the same mods I do minus the cage and tires. He has a full windshield now and gets me by almost a half length.
@@R.N.GPerformance I just hate how everyone goes straight to the windshield like it really hinders speed lol it with a ecu tune and everything else it should be faster
I agree we thought the unit with the clutch kit should jump out of the hole on the stocker but it didn't. There was no spinning either. We found the difference would have to be the taller Evil tire and wheel. I was driving the upgraded unit. I was shocked to say the least.
In this video, weight is a huge factor. (Mostly in the tires) If I would have put his set up on the stock one. Then the upgraded one would have left the stock one.
I would like to send you a RNG clutch kit to put in your buddies unit so you can do that again and if you like it. I’ll send you one for free also.
Can you send one to me in Canada lol
Your reviews are the reason I bought one
Ouch. Even I felt that one.

Much appreciated 👍

It sounded like one of the machines was bouncing off the rev limiter.
It was

Thanks man 👍
I also wonder if the tires play a large roll as well because of traction. But great video

@@DirtTrailAdventures exactly it should be.

@@rickmccollum2471 I’m not biased but try out the rng clutch kit and see what ya think then man I’m not brand loyal either
Hi.
What improvements have you installed?
In this video, mine was stock, but it's not anymore. Keep your eyes out for our next video, and we'll tell ya what we did to ghost 😎
What tuner was he running?
The Tune from Main Street Cycle
So wait, am I better off leaving it stock lol. I feel like he has a ton of money in it to be neck and neck with a stock machine still….

Swap tires and do the run again!! If you still win he should be asking for a refund on clutch and tune.
We would, however my U1000 (ghost) is no longer stock. It's got some upgrades on it now.
Don't forget driver ability. Not using the same driver.
It takes little to no "ability" to tread on an accelerator pedel.
You lose about 4 mph with a lift kit .
