EDITS:
- Concealing Veil drops from the Black Knife Assassin in Sage's Cave (Altus Plateau)
- I misunderstood Shabriri's Woe. It will not increase agro distance of enemies. It just raises your target priority when in battle with other players, and/or spirit ashes.
stay blessed gang
Shabriri’s Woe is weird
pretty sure you don't need to flip the carian study hall to get the cerulean seed talisman
You don't need to reach the end of milicents Quest to get milicents prosthesis
How long does it take for the concealing Veil to take effect I didn't see an animation or I missed it?
Everyone misunderstands shabriri, someone else mentioned shabriri’s woe is especially useless because obviously if they’re attacking enemies they’re gonna draw aggro either way. So you’re have to be sitting there doing basically nothing to gain any benefit which yeah would be a major crutch
Fun fact : the blue dancer charm (which multiply physical damage only) works for the beast’s incantations and the physical damage part of gravity spells too
Its got hugly bad damage multiplier.
@@Bender_B._Rodriguez but it has a multiplier superior to 1 none the less, so it can still be worth smth for someone
If only it worked like it did in any other game and wasn't pure ass
And dragon claw and maw
@@Bred2fight4As well as both Rot Breath variants.
Wormfaces drop sacrificial twigs. Infinitely
And Royal revenants
@@dulcimartins1446yeah but ain't nobody willing going towards those
@@voryntheriolu2525lmao agreed. Those things are a pain in the ass
@@dulcimartins1446supposedly the revenants inside the Sainted Hero’s Grave can be farmed for Ghost Glovewort (4)’s. I can confirm that the handful I’ve killed in there each dropped one, but I hate fighting those abominations.
@@joels5150Yea they can.
57:18 I can tell you exactly why you have so many duplicate talismans. Its because you're exactly like me, you see shiny item and pick it up even though you already have it.
Plus its hard to remember what's what when there's so damn much, easier to just pick up the shiny than be thinking about it
@@iamthereddemon20 On occasion, I suppose. Usually when I pick up an item I know exactly what it's going to be, unless it's a crafting material or some such.
I really wish they had a system to deal with duplicate items so instead of collecting the same talisman over and over they could just change the drop to 5000 runes or something. No one needs, wants 5 crimson amber medallions
@@monhi64 They're called merchants.
lol I have 5 darkmoon great swords on 1 account on new game +8, cause for some reason I didn’t realize that ranni’s quest wasn’t essential to completing the game until new game +6, it kinda blew my mind when I started looking up videos after I felt I discovered everything in my own, I realized like 70% of the game can just be skipped 😂 I felt ridiculous, I have at least 4 of every major item in the entire game 😂
Small correction on Millicent's Prothesis: it can be obtained at any point in Millicent's questline after you've given her the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and killed the Windmill Village Godskin Apostle. Killing her at any of these points after fulfilling those two conditions will net you the talisman. You sick bastard:
- Near the Windmill Heights grace in Altus Plateau
- Near the Ancient Snow Valley Ruins grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants
- Near the Prayer Room grace in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree
- At the rot lake where you fight the Putrid Tree Spirit in Elphael, near the Drainage Channel grace- pick the red summon sign to challenge her and kill her for the talisman.
Because of this, the quickest way to get both is to finish Millicent's Questline on NG and then kill her after that Godskin Apostle on NG+. Alternatively, you can do the opposite, get Millicent's Prosthesis on NG and use it with the regular Winged Sword Insignia to have a functional Marais Executioner build for most of NG and NG+ if you want.
@@sterlingmuse5808 This strategy is busted for low level PvP. Obtain the Ornamental Straight Sword from killing the tutorial boss, then have fun blendering people.
8:52 "Stamina, Health, Endurance. Everything you could ever want!" - The Legend
53:30 You calling the cat talisman "useful" made me chuckle.
the lethal fall is at 20 meters, in Elden Ring you start taking damage at 16 meters and the maximum amount of damage you get while overloaded is 50% of your hp while normally it's between 20 and 30% so very negledgable especially when soft cotton exists or simply throwing a shiny pebble to determine if a fall is lethal.
In short, Cat Talisman is extremely useless.
mAdE mE cHuCkLe
The Redditor writing style is killing me
@@monhi64 Back in my days people would call it nerdy. Internet ruined some of you
Good video. You only forgot to explain where to get the veil (the invisible assassin boss in Altus)
👍
13:53 If you like big bonk stick damage numbers for the monkey brain, two hand a strength weapon, drink the strength knot crystal tear, put on radagon soreseal, and the strength heirloom talisman. It makes you able to wield high str weapons at comically low levels if you're specced into a str build.
thank you, i didnt know that the talismans did talisman things
Add Godrick’s great rune and grafted blade greatsword and you can use the giant crusher at RL1.
Just want to note with Radagon's scar & soreseals specifically their boost to Viger negates the 10/15% damage taken increase at lower levels/Viger amounts. Essentially it gives you between 9-15 free levels minimum worth of stats for free until your viger starts to grow past the point that 5 extra Viger is less than 10/15% of your max HP. Even after that unless you're really cranking your viger high those extra 3-5 points mitigate most of the damage increases pretty well.
the carian filigreed crest is actually really usefull for ashes of war that cost a lot of fp ant that you want to spam like takers flame or waves of gold.
Shabriri’s Woe does not alter enemy aggro mechanics out of battle. In battle, it makes enemies lock onto you more than other combatant e.g. other players, Spirit ashes. It does NOT make enemies more aggressive in combat, it does not make enemies see you from further away. It ONLY makes them attack you more often, and ONLY if there’s more enemies already in the fight
Apparently, one use for Shabiri’s Woe is to entice those shadowy enemies in the Sainted Hero’s Grave to attack into the holy circles, even if you’re already standing inside. Whereas normally you have to bait them into some kind of lunging or charging attack while standing outside. 🤷♀️
Pretty niche use for an otherwise fairly worthless talisman.
To be extremely specific, all agro is is the person physically closer to an enemy is targeted for attacks. Raising your agro number just makes it to you have to be much farther away from an enemy than someone else to not be preferred for targeting. The kicker? None of this matters or is practical. If anyone, regardless of the agro amount they have from gear, does any damage to an enemy, they will be targeted for some five seconds
@@joels5150unfortunately not the case
It's always interesting seeing the differences in these "lists" between Monk and Rusty since Monk talks about everything with PvP more in mind and Rusty approaches things from a PvE perspective.
rusty is also cringingly into hearing himself speak
@@SobeCrunkMonster Rusty living in your head rent free😂
@@SobeCrunkMonsterhe's also terribly unfunny
Fist monk video and never seen rusty, but gotta say neither seem to know more than what the average player already knows. Also the use of cardinal directions when a simple left or right is simpler to convey and think about, is just weird.

Shabriri's woe talisman.
Yes, I do play as a big shield tank in all RPG games I play.
Yes, I do use Fingerprint shield and full Bullgoat's.
Yes, I co-op with a friend that is a squishy caster.
Yes, I do enable him to be a healer and let him spam spells at his heart's content.
Tho that last line is half lie since you can still esaily lose aggro even with Shabriri's shit-eating grin talisman if you play too passively or your friend plays too aggressively, retaining aggro is a very important skill to develop.
This comment reminds me of an anime
I have been watching your videos occasionally and you definitely deserve a sub, your videos are amazing. Well done mate 👍🏼
I think you are really courageous to do this kind of video !
Good job monk! Continue like that, you're awesome
My top 5 Talismans in Elden Ring:
Crimson Amber Medallion +2
Erdtree's Favor +2
Great-Jar Arsenal
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
Crimson Seed Talisman
You can wear these on basically any build for increased survivability, whether that be giving you more health, more stamina to roll with, making you take less damage, wear heavier but more protective armor, or recover more health.
If you were to primarily do PvP, I would exchange the last two talismans for Millicant's Prosthesis and the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia. Those are the most general purpose "do more damage" talismans in the game and synergize very well with fast Power Stanced weapons like Straight Swords, and the Thorny Cracked Tear.
This guy makes Elden ring much easier to understand, I really enjoy your videos, keep up the good work my man ❤
Great video man, well done
I appreciate your channel so much
Awesome video! Thanks for the help!
Very slightly useful tip for blessed due. Equipping and unequipping on repeat will heal you 2 hp each time so span that and you can eventually heal back to full if you have no other heals.
This the the absolute most helpful Elden ring video on RUclips. Thank you so much
I use the primal glintstone talisman sometimes. I think it's useful if you like joining players for cooperation and you don't want to run out of blue flasks too early before bosses or invaders. Maybe allocate more blue flasks to use heal incant when possible instead of red flasks too.
One of the deadliest combos I can think of is: Marais Executioner GS, Godfrey Icon(because it is a charged skill), Rotten Wing Sword Insignia, Millicent's Prosthesis, Shard Of Alexander, And Terra Magica.
50:00 He can travel through barriers?! Surpass barriers?! Is he watching me now?! I knew it. They call you "Monk" for a reason. He's a magical Shaolin Monk!
Glad to see you drop a video! Great as always, totally not related you should try this game called hell let loose, i thibk youd like it
Bro, sell your duplicates 😭
you right 💀
No, it barely gives any extra runes and you can keep it in the pocket if one of your friends needs one
4:59 “Run past him, grab the talisman, and get the hell out of here. Ohhh Shit!” Never have I ever hear a better explanation for how it feels to run to that talisman… I swear to god that Banished Knight is on some kind of methamphetamine. I also never would have thought to use Raptor of the Mists on this Hero Grave Chariots.
good vid man
Hey, monk
Thanks for making your content. I love watching you, and I've been binging your videos after one of my pets died and it's helped me to take my mind off of it
The jar shard, Talisman hands down my favorite, definitely see the difference in ash of war damage.
Next godfree for charged attacks of any kind. The canvis for my incantations,
Bull goat and dragon crest great shield.
48:40 to save yall some time, you can get Millicent's Prosthesis at after a you give her the valkyries Prosthesis during her quest.
Specifically you can kill her at her quest location in the windmill village after the godskin apostle
Its kinda funny how similar our go to outfits are, mine only uses the jar head instead😂
Thank you
I usually end up wearing the best dragoncrest talisman I have (physical damage reduction), the axe talisman (or the spear talisman), the claw talisman (jump attacks) and a max health talisman. The magic protection talismans and the holy protection talismans can be very handy in places. If you wear the best holy protection talisman and cast a holy protection buff on yourself the Elden Beast can barely hurt you because all its damage is holy. Makes Radagon quite a bit easier too.
monks got a talisman video LETS GO
The sacrificial twig will also save your rune pickup if you die again before you can grab them.
Great video. Kinda sad your videos don't get the attention they deserve considering the amount of effort put into making them.
I'm inclined to disagree that Stamina is less important than Vigor/Mind. At a certain point in the game, roughly the Mountaintops or Farum Azula most bosses or enemies will be killing you within a few hits no matter your Vigor. Get it up to the point where you're not getting 1 shot and Stamina will be miles more useful as it allows you to dodge more, which lets you... not lose Vigor, and perform better in combat in general.
Stamina returns very quickly. Never mind how much stamina you have, you're going to have to pace yourself, which makes having high stamina less important. The talismans are percentage based, and high vigor is useful for everyone while high stamina is not. I'll take 200 health over 10 stamina. Sure. 200 health will not enable you to take one extra hit, but it is often the difference between dying in 2 hits and not.
Bro stamina regens so fast it don't matter all that much just make sure you have the equip load
60 vigor makes sure you aren’t one shot by like 90% of attacks in pve, obviously if you only do Pve and are just good sure don’t level vigor and pump that damage and stamina
Perhaps I just play more aggressively than most here because I can't agree that the sentiment of stamina regening fast is true as I've found myself various times in fights with minimal stamina where I'm barely hanging on for a dodge roll or whatnot. It may seem fast playing passively and only going for attacks when you're confident but if you get in the thick of it you'll be dreaming of more stamina.
panic roller
Genuinely love your choice of weapon lol
for the executioners sword you can also run poison crow and white mask swap use fetid pot and a bleed method of your choice with the magic cracked tear with thorny cracked tear and now everything just dies.
A bit of advice for the Crimson Seed Talisman; you can boost the amount your Flask restores with the "Crimson Tear Scarab" (helmet, a la Incantation Scarab, boosts HP recovery but lowers defenses) and the "Guardian Garb (Full Bloom)" armor piece that drops from Guardians with large flowers and it generally has decent defenses apart from Fire which sits at a -2.3 (you're basically wearing a tree, what did you expect?)
EDIT: the Blessed Dew Talisman, obviously, works with various incantations as well as the Icon Shield.
Bull-Goat does not actually increase your poise, even though the UI says it does. It instead reduces poise damage you take, which is majorly different as you now need less total poise to power through attacks.
rolling up to the sesh with a companion jar like yo im going full pot build
Good video
The way you describe the tree spirit as not friendly, Makes me feel like you walked up to it and made an attempt anyway before getting folded
2:04 vigor players feel attacked
The sacrificial twig, if it works exactly like the sacrificial ring, give you another chance to recover runes too preventing permanent loss once per item
It does. Assuming you didn't plan on dying, you probably weren't wearing it when you died, but you can put it on when you go to get the runes and if something bad happens - which is all too common - you just lose a twig and the runes are still there.
the prince of death talismans are gonna be great for the upcoming deathblight swamp
Why wouldn't you just put doublet talismans into your chest so it doesn't clog your inventory?
I feel like your combo at 48:40 would work incredibly well, if not better even with Ghiza’s Wheel🔥🧐
Something special happens when you equip Daedicar’s woe, both soreseals, and a scorpion charm. Best place to try it out is in hero’s graves.
0:34 me who has spent approximately seven college tuitions in boiled crab
You don't really need that much vigor in PvE. As you can always use boiled prawn/crab + hard tear + DS/DGS talisman which can on it's own negate 50-55% incoming damage.
Small correction, you don't actually have to kill the boss to open the chest with the Erdtree favor +2 talisman, you can just take it during the fight.
To be specific, for the Flock's Canvas Talisman you need to first give Milicent the Valkyrie's Prosthesis and then kill her. if you don't do that Gowry won't drop the talisman.
Gonna miss you monk until the dlc is released
45:17 boy oh boy I sure hope nothing else spawns at the warmaster’s shack at night
It's interesting you recommended the talisman that raises your hp by 8% but not the scar/soreseals. If you do the math, the added damage really isn't that bad, considering health and defense increase from the seals
Not a lot of opportunity for horseback combat?
ITS A HUGE FUCKING OPEN WORLD GAME DUDE
Poor phrasing on my part. What I was trying to say is there’s not a lot of situations where fighting on your horse just isn’t optimal, so it’s not really worth a talisman slot
@@monkwashereI fought all dragons on horseback with that talisman. Poke and Run style lmao. Totally worth the slot
@monkwashere I understand where you're coming from buuuut at the same time fighting dragons (and basically any boss that you're allowed to use Torrent on) is way easier when on horseback so yea😂
Most of the game isn't fighting dragons though. All the more difficult stuff is not open world. If you want runes it's way more efficient to get off the horse, and if you don't then just ride past the enemy. I did a lot of horseback combat when I first started playing Elden Ring, then I realized I was just wasting time.
During the bull goat talisman section it’s stated that your ability to tank hits is based more on the weapon you wield than your poise now. Could someone possibly explain this to me? I’ve been under the impression it was still all poise based
You didn't give the location for the blue dancer charm 😂
"You'll never see someone use the primal glintstone blade". Ya, Hi. Youve got a guy who does here
From PvE experience:
-One giving 4% are not that useful late-game, as while bonus is universal, it is laughable low
-Like Scorpion-ones, since they give good damage boost that can be negated with spells like Black Flame Protection
-Shabriri - Summon Mimic Tear with it and he should keep aggro. Alternatively, tank build in jolly co-op with mages.
-Daedicar Woe - Mimic Tear boss fight, with this easy boss will become even easier.
-Prima Glinstone Blade - Longer co-op sections, as you don't have chance to refil flask. Spell efficiency increased by 33% is a lot.
56:52 - Honestly, this talisman is hardly useful in PvE as you have Twiggy Cracked Tear, that gives talisman effect for 3 minutes (goes against description, but who cares).
The grafted scion😂😂😂

Hello there i have a question:
If i want to invade everywhere on the map
Do i need all the graces sites or the summoning poll or both?
Thank you for your time
the carian filigree crest is so useful tho??
Does the spell drake talisman boost incantations or staffs?
Excactly what I need, all Talisman Locations in one Video
Omg I just found out that bubble spells are water !!!
Does this count as getting WET so it could buff LIGHTNING
and for how long are you WET ?
Does this work ?!
Whats your armor set?

Hey, what armor are you using?
Land of Reeds Helm, Ronin Armor, Ronin Greaves, Eccentric Manchettes
Thank you, very cool@@monkwashere
@@monkwasheredrip 💯
Samurai helm is top 3 helms in the game to me
I hard disagree with your take on the Carian Filigree talisman. If you have a build where you are using your ash of war frequently, this is a must. More chances to use a strong aow is always better than NOT being able to use it frequently
It's good for builds that have low mind in exchange for more damage, for instance my dex faith build with only 20 mind cooks with hand of malenia because of this talisman paired with Alexander Shard
Bothers me even more when he said the reduction was 25%, and then said it was bad. Lmfao
You should do a video about what weapons can be parried. Sounds tedious but would be nice for pvp. Im a big fan of parrying and i recently got into elden ring pvp, but im having a rought time with all the weapons available and power stance. Also, magic users are so boring to fight.
"On this corpse- JESUS CHRIST-"
What armor do you use
Primal Glintblade Talisman is useful with Lusat's Staff since it has the best scaling but spells cost more FP
If you wanted to use Lusat's staff that is which... don't know why you would
@@LowTierVergilbecause it has the best scaling you dingus
@@michaelo.1320 Yeah but... it's not worth it. That 50% FP cost isn't worth the boost it gives. In short fights where you want to nuke something and get it over with, that can definitely be worth the tradeoff but in longer fights with something like Fire Giant or bosses that dodge or hate sorcery like Radagon? Carian Regal is just the superior option. Just the best sorcery scaling with 0 downsides. Lusat's is a noob-trap staff that I would only recommend for either short fights or one shot laser builds
@LowTierVergil
The Lusat Staff has way better damage, to the point that it out performs staffs that boost certain spells in those spell categories. At the 60 int that these staffs sit at, you should have the mind to back it up, but if not this talisman gives a decent amount of leniency without much trade.
@@axis_chico true, I use Lusat's staff in my off hand to cast and have the booster staffs in the main hand to switch with the sorcery being used. Means I almost get all the FP investment back in damage. Carian slicer and rock sling are OP with my 80 INT 70 DEX build 🙂
this poor man is gonna run out of things to talk about fromsoft please release the dlc soon.... for him

How come I have never thought to use Raptor of the Mist to get through hero tombs???? God, I hate those chariots so much
That Radagon’s Soreseal is so easy to get at low level, compared to Marika’s Soreseal seems to be evidence that FromSoft hates spellcasters 🤔
Doing God's work
i thought the scorpion charms were very good?
hope the dlc adds at least 30-35 more
31:03 The fact that the Arrow's Reach talisman affects Kukri is my favorite useless Elden Ring fact.
No one ever cares about the damage falloff of kukri, but you could. It's great
45 vigor W radagon soreseal is enough
Valeu!
I hate how much vigor is necessary in modern dark souls games. I preferred armor, my armor!
The problem I had with elden ring is I never wanted to level vigor, I'd rather git gud, so vigar level 10 the whole game. Can confirm almost EVERYTHING is a 1 shot
lol I “accidently” reskilled and removed all of my vigor points before starting journey 2 today and it definetly wasn‘t the overpowered feeling I was hoping to get because I still got killed almost instantly xD
"If you don't want to get one-shot or two-shot by everything", sound to me like the damage is too high, not your health being too low
Loser talk
Both side of this argument are baby time frolics. Just stop getting hit.
All the Sacrificial Twigs this game gives you, and they all become completely worthless as soon as you get the Twiggy Cracked Tear.
man, this really shows that you don't really play the game outside of PVP. dark moon talisman is a waste of a slot because if you;re using 12 spell slots you're doing something wrong, radagon icon is a joke because the boost it provides is tiny. the iji talisman is amazing on builds where you spam the ash of war of your weapon since you usually don't level mind with those builds. The scorpion charms are also really good and are absolutely worth the extra damage taken
Yeah no, 12 spell slots is absolute fine.
