The altered Astrologer Set is the first decent "dress" you can get in the game. There's hardly any armor available in Limgrave or Liurnia that looks any good, unless you kill Patches to get his leather armor. But the altered Astrologer robe makes for a good dress as, unlike most of the female-focused robes, it's not ragged or blood-stained. There's also the Confessor and Warrior outfits available in Liurnia. The blue dancer robe makes for a really nice side-split dress on its own. Despite all the nice armor and weapons I usually end up wearing a robe and wielding a katana.
Good to note: certain chest pieces will create a hood over certain helm pieces, some need to be modified to do so. Like the Eccentric Helm in Bald Mode will actually combo really well with those hooded pieces. The bandage face one also turns on the hoods. Exile chest piece also has a variant based on the helm piece you wear, which will lower the shoulder cape/snuggie down to the neck. Also, Rennala's bracers gives you a ring similar to the one you give Ranni's. So if you wanna match with the wife, it's a cute piece to have on.
I mean its easy to miss, especially with there being no Gelmir Knights themselves (besides the shade in the manor) but yeah its pretty nice looking I like how it also serves as kinda a blank basic knight set too

This is the best armor breakdown video I’ve seen by far! Thanks for quickly listing any buffs the armor provides and its location(s). Using this to help finish a barbarian warlord fashion set with the great horned headband, and Kaiden chest piece. Thankfully tons of hands and leggings seem to go well with those.

Surely that's one of the most important things to note, for a video entirely focused on armour sets being explained for their fashion needs?
Best bit of the Astrologer set is that if you throw on the chain mail coif purchased from Kale, the hood on the robes go up over the headpiece and it looks dope as hell.
Props to monk for going out of his way, and making all of these videos that require a massive amount of time and effort to be put into them, thanks to him. I’ve discovered weapons armor and even spells and incantations I have never seen before Thanks to him.
Imma be real, aside from memes, something about the Soldier of Godrick armor I really like. (might be the green/orange checkered pattern and the dull gold tint.)
The preceptors gown with white reed boots and gloves and the navy hood is one of my favorite fashion sets. Its so difficult to make a blue themed set but that one is my fav by far.
The first time I beat the game, I was a sorcery and incantation build with the sword of night and flame, and my armor set towards the end was Gideon's helmet, the Blackfame monk chest piece, Loretta's greaves, and I think her gloves as well. I think it was a nice looking combo, probably my favorite one I've come up with
Hood goes up for the following from what i remember, obviously the astrologer hood, fingerprint helm (Vykes), the chain coif, eccentric’s hood has to be the altered version tho, the bandage mask and the black knife hood weirdly enough, I like the hood up with the eccentric’s personally since it gives off old man gravity wizard

I've been wanting a Hounskull Bascinet since the beginning, so happy they finally added it in ER, with the Bloodhound Knight helm (just, too bad they made it so hard to get to) Definitely my favorite helmet across all the games
I love the Zamor chest piece for summery Layndell "Lionel's set is a fast track to heatstroke" vibes. Throw on a pair of light leg and arm pieces that show skin and you've got something downright comfortable looking. I'm running it with the commoners headband cause I'm basic + the bandage wrap arms and perfumers boots I think. Too bad you don't get it until the least appropriate location in the game for it.
I know this was about armor sets but it would have been nice to include the armor pieces that arnt part of sets at the end, that said it was great seeing them all in game. My current character is wearing the White Reed's set with the white blindfold. Great look
If you play on PC I highly recommend the transmorgify mod, it brings transmog into the game, so you can wear any armor piece and make it looks like any other armor piece.
I'm actually a big fan of the Raya Lucarian Footsoldier helmet, it looks kind of fancy to me and I think it works really well if you want an open-faced helmet to pair with one of the golden armors like the cleanrot set or the tree sentinel one.
Carian Knight with the Unaltered Banished Knight helmet will always be my favorite drip. Shame that the helmet's scarf clips under the armor's shoulders instead of draping over them, but still.
My favourite combinations to do are crucible tree helmet, grave keeper cloak, bull goat gauntlets, and radahn’s greaves. Exile hood or dialos’s mask, exile chest with Radahn’s gauntlets and greaves
The worst farm is deffinatley the aristocrat headband. Those poor guys are literally running away from me and trying their hardest to save their lives... I genuinely feel like a monster. Good thing they live forever, i guess
The commoner torso piece gives you exactly 1 faith. It's not much but I think it's the only piece of armor in the game (apart from helmets) that actually gives you any stat points.
I've just made a new character for my DLC preparations, and the fit I've settled with for now is: altered Banished Knight helmet, Exile's armour, knight's greaves and gauntlets. Doesn't sound like much, but i think it goes pretty hard
I just realized, in my first playthru I wore Radahn set when finishing Ranni's quest and I wore her a ring with it. It feels wrong now that I knew the lore😅

I've been rocking that set since my first playthrough. I combine it with the greathelm you can buy in caelid. Proper drip, with or without the cape.

Marionette helm with the Omenkiller gloves and Eccentric chest and greaves is one of my favorite combos in terms of looks
Honestly, I only use volcano manor quest line armor sets. They are in the only ones I like, along side the banished knight set and crucible sets
I mean the first one you get is peak, scaled set rocks i usually replace the helmet with the Blackflame Monk Hood

Cuckoo Knight set is awesome for anyone that wants that classic knight feel. The chest with Carian Knight or Hoslow legs has been a favorite for me.

My favorite armor combo I've found so far is Blackflame Hood, Bloodhound chest and gloves, and Nox Greaves.
The fingerprint helm with the armor set that masks footsteps is the only metal helm that gives you an invisible hood over the top of it.
