Polyglot wishes Happy New Year in 60 languages

- I found out how to say Happy New Year in the languages of all my Facebook friends and people I've spoken to recently. Then I researched how to pronounce them! I speak 12 of these languages, so that gave me a head start, but it was fun to research and practise saying them one after the other as I enjoy skipping from accent to accent. (I edited out the gaps in between, but I didn't cheat!)
I wish you and yours a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

Glad to hear it. Thanks for letting me know.
this guy never missed his duolingo classes
I'm actually pretty bad at keeping up with the owl.
Yeah so like happy new year to you too, eh?
- Canadian
Thank you, eh?
Hindi and Urdu are totally different languages with same accent. Hindi is Sanskrit derived while urdu has muslim and persian influence
I like that you included less spoken languages such as Cornish, Navajo and Hawaiian. It makes the video even more interesting!
Hindi is wrong : Naya Saal Mubarak ho is urdu
Hindi is .. Nav Varsh mangalmay ho
You swapped the spelling of Danish and Norwegian.
Oops! Thanks for pointing that out!
@@DaveHuxtableLanguages You're welcome, don't know how easy it is to fix.
@@LameIkon sadly impossible. RUclips doesn’t let you update things. The only option is to delete and reload.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Dave 🎆
Thank you!

….quite late, I know, but cheers from Indonesia, anyways! 🎆 🥂
Thank you!
Ta very much ! I saw you missed out a Yorkshire accent which is a bit of a shame! 🎉
Tragic, I know.
@@DaveHuxtableLanguages Never mind, I'll let you off...

Excellent and wug-approved! 🐦🐦
I’m honoured.
Buon anno! Last but not least... Happy as Italian of your choice
Grazie!
Thanks for adding Tamil!
My pleasure. I’m going to Sri Lanka in March to visit friends and so am about to start learning some Tamil.
@@DaveHuxtableLanguages Oh that's great! As a side note you better not talk to everyone in Sri Lanka in Tamil because most of them are Sinhala and up until a few years there was a civil war between the two communities... If you're going to the northeast that is Jaffna you can speak Tamil. I also cordially invite you to visit the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, we speak Tamil here! It's quite near to Sri Lanka as well and there's a lot to see and experience! :)
@@candrealx I am going to Jaffna as well as attending a big birthday celebration with Tamil-speaking friends in Colombo. Would love to visit Tamil Nadu some day too.
@@DaveHuxtableLanguages Great then! Have a nice time there!
Happy New Year! (Good work!)
Thanks! You too!
Bruh you put the tee ad on the language names
Oh no! RUclips does that and I can’t control where. You can close it though.
Next challenge: dialects. Good luck!
Which ones do you have in mind?
@@DaveHuxtableLanguages mine is Bergamasque, which is useless apart perhaps from Lombardy and Tessin. That could be a good comedy moment.
Happy New year Dave!🤩
Thanks Bella!
С Новым годом, Дэйв. Спасибо за ваши видео.
Спасибо Вам, Александр!
Head uut aastat!
Aitäh!
Actually easier to pronounce than in Finnish. Dave's Finnish pronunciation was good, but a touch off.
Polish - 90%
I’m pleased with that!
