    Greetings from my Spanish finca. Olives, citrus, hot peppers, apricots, pears, etc. So nice to see a young person embracing "la vida en el campo".

    Just grafted three trees . All went well and time will tell . In Puglia at the moment there is some experimentation with grafting as a means of controlling xylella . Big mature trees cut down to four feet high and a ring of 8 grafts being put in . The grafts are leccino or favelosa which are more resistant to the disease . I don’t know how this will work because the host tree will still be susceptible to xylella . Anyway thanks for the video which was easy to follow

      Hey that’s great! You’re in puglia, we are in lazio, frosinone. Im not really sure if it will prevent the parasites, sometimes i think the less we do nature steps in and has a way of resolving itself…hahah humans try to overthink everything. Anyway best of luck with your future harvests!

    Very interesting . Filming a bit strange mostly with the interesting bit off camera . Awful music in the background but a very helpful video

    The use of moss is interesting. I wondered how it may have been done before paper or plastic bags, etc...

    Very interesting video. Do you have to graft normal olive trees. We have some in our garden - they are not wild.

    Why do you need to graft an olive tree? Is it to get different variety of olives that are more favorable? Great video thanks.

      This is a wild olive tree, even though it produces olives they are tiny and produce little oil but im my opinion are superior probably, this way you can get other varities that are larger and more productive. Thanks for asking Dave

    Thank you. I have a root stock that an olive tree was growing on, the tree was killed by ice but the stock is still alive. Is the method the same if I can get a new olive tree branch to graft?

    • @StefaniaFruitarianFarmer
      @StefaniaFruitarianFarmer  3 года назад

      Thank you! I wish i could tell you the answer! if I understood correctly you have another root that is growing where you wish to graft onto?
