Just started watching your show a month or so ago...LOVE IT!!! I live in an apartment and many of my things are very old, from Thrift Shops...and I'm an artist...so I have one wall over flowing with portraits of grand children, children...a panther, cougar...etc...and most of my lamps look like they are from the 1800's...I fell in love with antiques a while ago, and LOVE your style...I'm 76, and just found your show a few weeks ago...I live outside of Boston, MA USA...it is a thrill for me to see what can be done with your finds and the extreme talent of the restorer's....Thank you ...

I will tell you why I like the show Drew, because it's real. Not a bunch of overpaid BBC, ITV, Channel 4, prats running around giggling while pissing public money up the wall.
A big fan of Drew's . I'm from the North Eastern part of India i.e. Meghalaya . l like his choice of items whether big or small. . I wish i could buy even a small item from his shop and pray that it will reach safely to my hometown. Oh ! How lucky for people who get to buy from Drew's handpicked and exquisite choice of items from his shop in Conway .
Jajajajaja

I've been wondering if there was going to be a new series soon, came across this interview by accident. I bet the comedian is Jim Davidson, Teeth done, looking good, cant wait for the new season obviously with the travelling also. Someone mentioned Ricky Gervais, could be, not actually sure how much of an international "megastar" Jim is really and he's into boats, not sure about antiques.
What I like about Salvage Hunters is where’s it’s located, I think Drew, Tee, Gavin, Rebecca are interesting and likable. And it’s amazing how these craftsmen can transform old items to be clean and repaired. Drew’s willingness to look anywhere for ‘finds’ is daunting, but he always finds something, his taste is very eclectic, I’m always surprised with items he chooses. The wheeling and dealing is interesting, every seller is so different. I’d love to see added where some of Drew’s sales have gone. Like on a movie set or recluse’s wall. Where did the house of The Hound of the Baskerville’s fireplace mirror go? Where is it hanging? What do it’s buyers say about. Call this spin off Salvage Buyers. Drew is very knowledgeable with history, items’ uses, values, a vast encyclopedia of facts and details. He’s not a snooty highbrow antiques dealer. That he’ll rummage on his belly thru old pig stys is proof of his determination to find ‘lost’ things, revive them, save them. And he does all this with dignity and the will to make his way in the world.

Great interview and has aroused suspicion who the 'Mega star' could be.. I am not a fan of Johhny Vegas and don't find him that funny so not sure another top name would appeal and might deflect from the real topic of Salvage Hunting.. I think another aspect of the success is, due to the huge amount of traveling they do, everyone can resonate with a location he has visited.
