Drew Pritchard is well-known from his television work, but first and foremost he is well respected within the industry as a leading antique dealer. Drew’s collection is as diverse as you can imagine, with everything from beautiful period furniture to more eclectic objects, such as vintage signage and architectural works.
This sale marks the first thirty years of his career and includes items he has collected over those three decades. Everything has been chosen for its quality, individuality, and rarity, but mostly because they, as with everything he picks, have that feeling that they are just right.

Agreed, the items that attract you like magnets. The ones that delight you every time you see them. The tactile, the colours, the heft of pottery, the glow of a good lamp.
Explains it perfectly and succinctly. Those of us "collectors" need to do this but it's so difficult as "we" ascribe personalities and histories to these objects and they become loved. I hope one day to hear the voice within that says, "It's time.". I admire Mr. Pritchard.
From the USA......I wish I could have been there Drew. Part of your soul is in each piece sold. I know, your collection brought joy to many.
Have really enjoyed salvage hunters over the years, when you love old things to me it’s irrelevant what they worth it’s finding them makes me happy

Those who love objects, who collect… what in their eyes… calls to their soul, are not always appreciated or understood by others. However, it is surely a driving force within that needs be acknowledged. But even collectors have moments in time to let go and it is a force as meaningful as the opposite… to acquire. I reckon being at this auction would be the event of the year. I can only imagine the level of interest being generated. There will be plenty of avid collectors who would know exactly what is being offered and they will be wanting to get their hands on the yearned-for items at any price. What entertainment. I hope they make an episode for telly about the auction. I think Drew Pritchard - as he often says himself - does have the best job in the world. Huge fan.

Over time, the value of these items will only increase as it will be linked to the name of this renowned antique dealer himself. A brilliant Master of his craft and a talented showman.
Recognise so many pieces that ive seen him purchase in Salvage Hunters(Proberly seen every episode), Good luck with the sale.

1:19 Ese busto de estilo pompeyano es una auténtica maravilla. Todavía me acuerdo del programa donde lo compró a un holandés con demasiadas ganas de vender esta verdadera joya y de que la puso a la venta por 8 mil euros que yo no tenía para comprarlo😢.
Supongo que se habrá quedado con el busto porque es una belleza. Una réplica del que se encuentra en el museo arqueológico de Nápoles que fue encontrado en la villa de los papiros en Herculano, enterrado en la erupción del Vesubio.

Drew he has a good eye. It’s in the idiom of the “Cabinet of Curiosities”, we all have a slightly different take on that and how to go about creating our own unique bit of theatre but it’s more than that. Apologies but I don’t get how a lot of people don’t get it. Anyways, all the best with your Sale.
Those things are beautiful and what you collect represents bits and pieces of who you are. I love collecting rocks leaves branches things of nature but I also collect vases and small sculptures dishes and I have a few high quality pieces of furniture. I am a photographer and painter. I love surrounding myself with beautiful things

Drew. To much possession can also be a burden. Let the things go and enjoy the moments finding new amazing items. Rooms must not be filled up to the ceiling. A house can be furnished and not overloaded the same tome. Sometimes less is more. 😊😊😊.

I always get the impression that Drew is never exactly happy ...too much seriousness on his face . It's time to enjoy it all Drew , the money ,the reputation , the experiences ,all of it ! Too much business without pleasure is pointless methinks .

Most of it is old Stock he can't sell because he needs the money. He didn't sell his shop and Warehouse because he's Rolling in money. Just Bought a house in Bath for £800,000 so he needs money for a lot of restoration
