I cant imagine being bothered that a boat was moored on my waterfront property not bothering anyone. Infact, if i was lucky enough to have land like that id probably setup some amenities and bring visitors freshly baked goodies. Come! Visit! 😊

boat life has definitely changed over the years . people have become more aggressive and rude on the water... it never useto be like that 15 years ago. but then the amount of people living on the water has blown up and not all boaters are as lovely as you both...

This was a nice surprise to have another mid week video 😀😀 can't believe you got asked to move and wasn't even a private mooring.. I prefer canals as more places to Moor... rivers are beautiful though... glad your feeling better after your dentist visit Amy and well done for being brave wes... your hair and dress at the wedding looked lovely Amy and wes looked very smart... well done for keep going even when your not feeling great love you guys xx
Another lovely vlog from you. May I be cheeky and ask what your hire cost worked out at for one day please. We sold my car about 4 months ago but now it’s time to sell my Husband’s. We don’t want to worry about leaving it somewhere and then wasting hours/a day fetching it to our new moorings all the time and plus, saving tax, insurance, MOT, servicing and RAC would be great. Paying out all that to leave it somewhere seems pointless. Thanks ❤️
It’s funny Wes?..or not funny but I hate going in water I can’t see the bottom and even if I’m in a canoe I can’t face backward, I have to be able to see because there might be a body under the water😮. My reason, I believe, is when I was about 6 or 7, friends of the family called after dark to organize a search party because their son who was 8 or 9 hadn’t come home from fishing. I didn’t really understand what was going on but I could feel the stress in the air, my Mum was consoling the boys mother who was getting more and more upset. People kept arriving and leaving and they were really stressed , it was really scary . After about 4 hours with the men all gone , my dad walked into the yard holding the boy in his arms and crying, the boy drowned and I’d never seen my father like that, really freaked me out and that’s when my fear of deeper water started. I was terrified to learn to swim , they wanted me to wade into water to my neck and I would just cry and refuse to go. My dad got frustrated and picked me up, threw me off the dock and that sealed the deal, scarred for life. I did learn to swim in a pool eventually though. Glad everything worked out well in the end for you, dentist, mooring, wedding👍🏼🙋🏼♀️🥰

Don't worry about the grumpy bum land owner. There are a lot more good people out there than bad ones. Maybe it time to get off the rivers and back on the canals.😊😊
Unfortunately around my way it's not uncommon for people to smash down private land signs , before mooring up , then helping themselves to whatever trees they fancy dropping for firewood , then in the worst cases leaving crap everywhere. The result is that the vast majority of us who treat riverside landowners with respect are then tarred with the same brush.
Society is not kind to 'travellers in boats' in the UK. It seems that people who live aboard boats have to contend with the same hostile attitude which the majority of people have towards the travelling community in general. In other words, unless you live in a house, you're not regarded as being 'respectable.' It's a load of b*ll*cks, of course, but that's what we have here in the UK.
