I am a 62 year old lady from Kansas, USA who recently found you all, and really enjoy your channel. Even when you’re faced with adversity you face things with a smile on your face. You’re living my dream on a narrowboat, and that type of community. We have nothing like them here.
Looks like mooring on the Thames is a problem. As for the rude Yogurt pot owner, they have always had a dislike of narrowboats. Sod em . You still make us both laugh.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I got so excited to see you guys had a video out, I ran straight to the kettle & fetched out my cake tin. I’m now 1 cup of tea & 4 peanut butter /chocolate flapjacks down & a big smile on my face after watching your video. I’m sorry the rude yacht lady upset you, just be proud of the fact that you two are the lovely people you are ❤️❤️
We need to get you a pair of binoculars to see those tiny signs. That was so rude for that cruising boat not to move to help you out. One day that will come back to bite them! Karma baby!! Stay safe until the next time! 🥰
Wow! What a Vlog. We both got the adrenaline rush again watching this. We are so glad we did it with you guys and made some lovely boating friends to share more adventures with. hummmm ‘The Wash!’ Bring it on. Xxx🧸🧸
Thanks for cheering this pair of wannabee narrowboaters up immensely with your wonderful antics! A lunch eaten in a dinghy, getting up close with little baby duckies and having ok coral with the snotty yacht creature. Dont stress about those types lovelies. You probably interrupted their champagne and charlie shenanigans. Stay lovely and happy and shove your middle finger up at them because you have something they will never have (despite the money they spend on poisonous bubbles in a fancy bottle and white powder that they snort) - you have natural happiness and a fabulous bond with each other. Give Rufus and Doops a huge cwtch and cuddle from us and hope to see you on the cut one day. We're in Nantwich lovelies so please come back to the Shroppie Union and we can show you around. It's not snotty here and we have a gorgeous town centre that welcomes lovely people and their gorgeous doggos ❤ xxx
Started binge watching your channel two weeks ago. This is as far as I have got to till now! Loving the channel. I live in reading so. If ever passing through and need anything. Holla! Hoping to be on the cut myself in the next twelve months! I can't wait
Hi Amy, Wes, Rufus and Dupes, what a lovely cruise you have been having. When you said "There is only one thing for it" I thought of two things..."CHIPS" or CONDOR 3000. It was CONDOR 3000, how lovely it was to see him back out for the Summer of 23! You have so much insane fun with him, it always makes me smile. You are both so full of adventure. Loving the Condor session on the Thames, brilliant in fact. Marlow looked nice. Lovely to see Rufus and Dupes running around in the field. Rufus found a big stick, so he was happy. How cute it was that Rufus came up to Dupes to make sure (Dupes) was OK. Dupes was having a wail of a time running in the grass. Nice to see him out and about. An excellent Vlog as always, and so entertaining. Thank You. Take Care. (Spoolbox).
Kondor disclaimer I love it ... lol... as long as we don't steel fish, cook fish or stab fish.... we should be alright... lol ... sorry... put them in pitre dishes... all very funny! lol... omg... I'm getting a good laugh..... how rude that that stupid boat wouldn't make room for you... .. 🥰 I love you two... your channel is so much fun!!! 💖🐶🐰
Always found sailing on the Thames stressful and unfriendly on the main. Hopefully, a month on from your recording, you are both safe, well, in better company of fellow friendly boaters, and still enjoying all the scenery. Thanks for taking us along 😊
When you've shazzam'ed the condor 3000 back ground music, you know you've reached the sadness! (yes I know you have a link to it, but shazzam is one touch!)
Lovely watching your video on the Thames. I had a boat on the Thames for many years. It was always hard to find a free morning. It is wonderful though. Have fun xx
Who would have thought tht the Kondor 3000 would become the ultimate reconnaissance vehicle. Famously the hardest of all water bound responsibilities. A job well done Kondor 👍
You guys are the only narrowboater’s I follow that actually cause me to lol, and I follow many! That snapping oar did me in. 🤣🤣 Happy days from sunny eastern NC.
Really love watching your videos and coming along with you on your adventures. It is so nice to see you both enjoying life in your narrowboat, and love to see Doops & Rufus as they navigate the waterways with you. Hope you are able to enjoy your present mooring for a few days, it’s such a beautiful spot, and a great place to get the bunny & pup out for some exercise. Can’t wait to see what you get up to next! Take care, 💕🇨🇦 😊
Awww bless you. I hope u get to stay there and it’s trouble free being by the park. Looked lovely. Fingers crossed. Loved the condor 3000 moment. So funny. Every best wish. ❤
Those plastic boaters with their plastic personalities are just jealous of your nice traditional narrowboat. And, of course, of your fine Kondor3000! Well done for not letting them grind you down. Thanks for another fantastically entertaining vlog.
Loved seeing Rupey out enjoying the outdoors 🙂 Mooring on the Thames is always difficult, especially East of the K&A, and probably not helped by the closeness timewise of the Henley Regatta. Take care you two and the crew 🙂
I’ve seen others videos who say it’s really disheartening trying to find moorings on the Thames unfortunately. Enjoy and good luck finding places to stay with good wiri🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🙋🏼♀️
You both do make me giggle 🤣 but please don’t let them snooty prat’s get you down, your both loving life & your burst of energy is fab to watch ❤️ just keep on doing what your doing with making me laugh 👍🏻😜 X X X
Only recently found your channel, I love it. Just went back to watch your first video and you crawling over the roof had me laughing. Fab videos, my dad has a wide beam so it’s nice to see things from a narrower perspective 💜
Hi wes and Amy, you two are bonkers,😂😅in a good way. I had visions of you nodding off on condour 2000 and floating away, you would open your eyes and be floating under London Bridge.😂😂 Can I say be careful when rufus chews a wooden stick as splinters could potentially get stuck in his mouth. I know as it happened to one of my dogs. Its ok he runs around with the stick. Lovely to see Dupes running free. 💚
Oh guys! We found it stressful when we did this stretch of the thames. Our gearbox also packed it in which made the whole experience even more fun. Marlow is lovely though, we broke the lock there so had to stay on the lock landing overnight... Most places seem fine if you arrive late and leave early ish. Hope it gets better heading into London!
We absolutely love cruising the Thames but yes you Roughton back memories...our fist 7 hour cruise was Henley to Windsor and the same the following in reverse!!!! The next 8 hour cruise was from Paddington to South Tottenham....nearly caused tears 😢
Ah, so glad it wasn't just us! Luckily around Windsor its definitely better and easier to find moorings, but from Henley its a nightmare isn't it! Its hard to explain how stressful it is when you just want to stop! x
@BoatTime definitely stressful. The first experience was our first year so totally unexpected and quite scary being on acriver and unable to moor :( love the way your heading albeit tricky to moor ;)
So called Intitled people are the pits. Lovely video. I find finding places to park my wee campervan overnight, stressful in unfriendly places. But fortunately nice people out weight the idiots.
Yeah we saw the crossed out old price haha! 😂 £10 a night as a one off is ok, but its if you want to spend a decent amount of time on the thames it can add up!
Really enjoying watching your Thames adventures, we spent 6 years on the Thames in our cruiser - and even at under 30' we sometimes struggled to moor., but we did know all the places we could try. Marlow is always hard to find a mooring. Cookham is better.
Thank you for watching 🥰 glad you are enjoying it! Yeah, this stretch was definitely the hardest, it did get much better luckily as I'm sure you'll know 😊
This watch was so good. I was watching so much that I opened the freezer and the frozen pea bag emptied all over the gallery floor UPS it's not what I said😊 Fun watchXx

Haha it was just a silly joke! It says: "Disclaimer: BoatTime does not endorse the avoidance of licence fees and we acknowledge that no dinghy is above the law. If you are reading this from the enviroment agency the jokes in this segment do not necessarily represent the licence status of Kondor 3000. 🤫😂
If you click the cog symbol at the top right hand of the screen you can slow or speed up RUclips videos. I slowed it down to read the funny disclaimer. 😉
Hi Amy and Wes. So good to see the Kondor 3000 making an appearance. You can’t help but smile when he’s around. It’s a shame that there’s not many free moorings on the Thames. Glad you found some though. Take care. Nick
If you only ever cruise on the Thames you only need an environment agency licence, but if you want to cruise on the Thames and on crt waters you need a licence for both, or a gold licence which combines the two. We have a gold licence for Gregory's girl😊
We have been on the Thames in Berkshire in various spots for 5 years and there is a very wide divide between lets just say metal boats and GRP,s. The latter are weekend playthings for the well off who pay a fortune to moor them in marinas at vast expense and then expect all moorings to be empty for their imminent arrival . If they fail to get a spot they use their posh voices to complain over the phone to the relevant authorities. They don't believe The Thames should be enjoyed by less than 40% tax payers. Despite having full time jobs we have been labelled as benefits cheats and all sorts.😮 Needless to say in winter when the river goes on red boards and floods for months on end , they are all back behind the gates of their in/out driveway 6 bedroom homes not giving boating a 2nd thought.
Sadly, we have to agree. Obviously not all of them but it is really disheartening when you feel like you aren't welcome. We got a huge sense of entitlement from some, if we were moroed in a spot they would come by and scoff asif we were hogging a spot, even though we had every right to be there! 😒
This is what living in a truck/ van is like all the time, always chancing a park up and expecting a knock on the door to tell you to move on. Some big flashy white motorhomers looking down their nose at you as if paying more for their home gives them more right to park up, and some local people calling you “freeloaders” for not wanting to spend between £10 and £50 a night to park up every night if the year, which they won’t accept is totally unaffordable for people who are living this way full time and would cost more than renting a house. The attraction of narrow boats for me is that you are at least allowed to stop without a nightly fee for up to two weeks in some spots. I disagree with the attitudes that preclude travel for anyone living in vehicles in this country. I’m really glad that you found a few spots to stay at and managed to get Kondor 3000 out to enjoy your stay. I did slow the speed of the video down in order to read your disclaimer rolling along the bottom of the screen. You guys are so funny it did make me laugh, as did Wes pretending to explain why he was late back to work when your oar broke! 😆
Ah yeah, I can imagine! Its a shame there isn't more infrastructure in place for Vanlife in the UK. it does seem a lot more difficult for that reason! We agree, exploring the beauty of nature and living amongst it shouldn't only be for the wealthy. Thank you for watching 🤗💖 glad you spotted the funny disclaimer haha!
Thank you! 😊 the majority of them were lovely, but its a shame there are definitely enough of them to notice the stereotype of them not being very friendly.
If someone was taking up two moorings I would bot have accepted no. Id have said you misunderstand me, I am coming in....Are they going to risk their posh cruiser getting damaged, I doubt it. Failing that chuck some dog eggs at them.
Like most creative industries, there's a big range of pay in game dev! Wes actually took a few steps down when we moved onto the boat for a less stressful life, so he works for a smaller company and they don't tend to have the big bucks like some of the bigger ones! The money doesn't filter down all that well in game dev unfortunately, a lot of the devs do it for passion rather than money. 😊 We also have quite a hefty bank loan for the boat that we are still paying off so a lot of his wages goes on that haha!
what work does wes do that you got moore for a week at a time if he works online can you not move on a bit each day after work and more atleast your moving while working then to
We usually do this but we only have a certain amount of daylight left after work to find a mooring with good enough internet so on sections like this where moorings are 4-5 hours apart it’s not always possible. But we do it a lot when it is possible 😊
£10 for the night isn't too bad, but when its every mooring, spending any amount of time on the Thames can get expensive as they all add up! The money just goes to private land owners usually, sometimes the local council

Niligitmae carborundum methinks👍The stealth mooring was brilliant particularly in a narrow boat .Had similar problems in 1976!

Aw thank you!! 🥰💖 haha! He isnt very stable so I don't blame you! 😂

Haha not sure about that, I will take it as a compliment though 😂

Wondering who or where you pay for your mooring. Is it a honor system?
It’s different In every spot. Sometimes a bailiff comes around to collect cash and sometimes you pay online

Amy & Wes, thank God- we’re not like those plastic idiots on a plastic boat- take care in London-
"dog eggs" 😂😂
the pros so outweigh the cons
for sure! 😊
You both are just so amazing you are the best thank you so much for the messages love you xxxxxxx ❤❤
Can you not just drop anchor a few feet from the bank😂
we have thought about it from time to time, but funnily enough they have written it into the rules that you aren't allowed 😂
Your day is as stressful as mine😢
Sorry to hear it was stressful!
😅😅😅😅
Aren’t you a games developer Wes? Thought you’d be earning loads doing that.
We also have quite a hefty bank loan for the boat that we are still paying off so a lot of his wages goes on that haha!
A.bottle of rum will make your day better
Or a cup of tea! 😊
what work does wes do that you got moore for a week at a time if he works online can you not move on a bit each day after work and more atleast your moving while working then to
We usually do this but we only have a certain amount of daylight left after work to find a mooring with good enough internet so on sections like this where moorings are 4-5 hours apart it’s not always possible. But we do it a lot when it is possible 😊
@@BoatTime what work is it that you do if i may ask as i to will soon be on canal network living on a boat
@@keithprosser35 he works in game development as a level designer 😊
why can't you just drop an anchor instead of mooring on the bank?
we have thought about it from time to time, but funnily enough they have written it into the rules that you aren't allowed 😂
It doesn't sound expensive but saying there is no water or facilities it is, who are you paying that money to?
£10 for the night isn't too bad, but when its every mooring, spending any amount of time on the Thames can get expensive as they all add up!
The money just goes to private land owners usually, sometimes the local council
That part of the thames is where rich people live, so what did you expect when trying to moor.
Can you not just drop an anchor
Unfortunately not, they added rules around that too!
their snooby people they don't fit in my world
or ours! We agree. Its a shame we felt so judged, but we know we would never want to be like them!
Too many f’ing snobs down there. Sorry for the f bomb but it’s just not necessary to be mean
Too much whingeing
Good evening you lovely people
Have a great week Shane! 😊
