I love this because I have multiple disabilities and my boyfriend helps me if I ever talk to fast or I be studering♡. Besides I have a speech teacher helping me also
I'm Autistic and gay, I had to teach myself sex ed because my school stressed abstinence. I wish I had these types of resources growing up. I'm 22 now, but I find it interesting what other people learn and the experiences and thoughts other people have on this and many topics. My sex ed did not cover relationship violence and was not LGBTQ positive. It gives me hope that young people are learning to be more inclusive.
thank you for sharing your experiences. I'm an autistic bi girl, I just graduated high school and I'm scared of dating, for several reasons. 1, I grew up in Texas so I never had a sex-ed class. 2, I was in a toxic relationship when I was 16 and because of that, I have trust issues. 3, every time people talk about queer relationships and sex-positivity they never mention neurodiversity or sensory issues. I feel like we need more representation to teach neurodivergent people that they can have healthy relationships and a healthy sex life and we need to use our voices to teach that
This is incredibly important. My boyfriend and I are both autistic adults and have an entirely "normal" relationship. I perhaps get a little more emotional than the average woman would, but we work through it together.
Ayeee I’m PANSEXUAL 💗💛💙 My amputees where you at !!!!! On a side note: To all of the people who are still questioning their sexuality or are nervous or scared about coming out , don’t worry. Everything is going to be ok. Choose your time of when you wanna come out , it’s totally your decision. No one should rush you or bother you about it. If people don’t except you of your sexuality , then that is their choice. I came out to my mom and she said that it was fine , but don’t worry. Remember that you’re not alone. MANY people have gone through the SAME exact things and are still going through them right now. Don’t let fear stop you from being yourself. ❤️ P.S. I am also a leg amputee from a rare disorder and I still have feelings for people. Mental disability or physical disability or learning disorder you can fulfill your dreams and find love just like everyone else Hope that this made you feel better ❤️
So as a legally blind person I love the message here. Everything said was accurate. Still... wish the script felt more conversational during his explanations. If you ask me, he speaks very firmallyas opposed to casually. He doesn’t have to shove pizza in his pants, but if the goal is to express that disability doesn’t make us different outside of physically then I kinda wish he’d been less formal.
This is so good! We are really looking forward to using this video when we do trainings with our Sexuality for All Abilities curriculum. Everyone has a right to healthy relationships and sexuality. Thank you!!
Very good point. I understand showing visible disability but there are physical conditions which are invisible too. As you say there are a lot of conditions like autism where you can not tell just by looking they are disabled.
This wasn't exclusive to just physical disabilities though, although i wish they said that explicitly; see the parts where multiple people with disabilities are shown? Not all of them have like, any physical mobility aids. So it's implying that disabilities of all kinds are included here. Again though, I see how not everyone would catch that.
This is great! I've never understood why some able-bodied people saw people with physical disabilities as nonsexual people. I have mild cerebral palsy. That doesn't mean I don't have sexual desires.
Thanks, this is awesome! one thing is missing (but i think that's okay, you can't include everything in one video) that i want to mention: Asexuality! Some people don't feel sexual attraction at all and don't fall in love, some people have romantic feelings but don't crave sex, and this is unrelated to disAbility and just is that way for some people.
You're absolutely right. A person with a disability can be any sexual orientation, including asexual. We are all sexual beings in that we have bodies, different body images, different gender identities, different sexual orientations and ways that we choose to relate to other people, which may or may not include sexual behaviors.

As a person in band... she can not play the clarinet. Thats not how you hold it. (Don't take this seriously btw) also thanks for talking about people with disabilities!
Gordon Yeung The short answer is yes. Mental illnesses like depression and anxiety, and conditions like autism and aspergers, fit under the umbrella of “neurodiversity” and are considered disabilities. Individuals with these disabilities are “neurodivergent”. This video focused on physical disabilities, so hopefully they’ll do a video on neurodiversity soon.
Gordon Yeung well if it helps, I care and I know if you decide to look for a partner, they will care about you too You may not find the right one at first, but don’t be discouraged - you are special and you have a whole life ahead of you where you will meet other special people too Also everybody’s lives are different and don’t compare yourself to others - everybody goes at their own pace!

Making content on disability is cool ! Putting subtitles for disabled people to actually be able to access the content is better, tho.
