Are you actually joking? All of these comments are so negative and the only positive ones are about her boyfriend?! Alexandra is a businesswoman. Her value doesn't just come because now she has a man in her life. She is talented and a light at least in my life and we really need to do a better job hyping up this company she has made for herself! Alexandra is an absolute badass and she deserves more respect. I'm not saying that you need to love all of her designs, but at least be kind and constructive when you comment. She is a real person on the other side of this video and I don't think people recognize that as much as they should.
Obviously I want Alexandra to be happy and having a significant other can be really positive for people, so I'm not saying that the fact that she has a partner is bad. I just want her to get the recognition she deserves on her own ☀️
The comment section is always so annoying on Alexandra’s videos. Never constructive criticism, always whining and complaining. If you don’t think creators need to have advertisements than you don’t know how the business was works, just like when you read the paper, for better or worse ads are how revenue is generated bc we all cant be bothered to pay creators other ways but want the content. It’s not her fault this is how the system works. We use a circuit machine at work and it’s fantastic. We do so many creative projects on it and have found it’s cost to be more than worth it. I’m not a crafty person but if I was I would definitely consider buying one. It’s a good project and i personally like when sponsored content ties into the project. Great job Alexandra!
You are excited learning something new. Learning not to waste material is a skill you develop over time. Keep experimenting, it is your home. Just keep putting yourself there & have fun.
But I don't get it, why would you not just put more decals with a smaller distance between them on the same square? 🤨 Everyone with a cricut says it's a skill to develop, but why?
Also, you don't need to use transfer tape if you are just sticking on the pieces individually and if you do need transfer tape you can use it more than once.
Alexandra, thank for sharing your creativity with us. It’s Another renter friendly way to decorate. I’m sure there is a learning curve to the Cricut. Some have commented that they preferred the previous wall. Folks, look at this as a learning another method to do your own decor, a new option. Alexandra did show us that you have a multitude of patterns accessible on the internet. If you did not like her choice you can find what pleases you. You do you.
I've never really been one to care about form because I'm more of a function type person. However, since watching your channel - which is a source of entertainment for me & I really look forward to your videos - I've been inspired :) We got a new sofa & I changed the color scheme in the living room. (from blue/beige to blue/gray) I rearranged furniture & set myself up a little office space in a corner. I was amazed how much different it makes me feel! It's so comfy & looks so much better. Even my husband likes it & he usually hates any type of changes. I just think all your content is fun & creative. Thanks for helping me feel better about home :)

I'm obsessed with my Cricut! I never thought I would use it as often as I do. I'm a graphic designer, so I just design everything in Illustrator and import it as an SVG to Cricut. The possibilities are literally endless
i know, i noticed so many youtubers were getting a free cricut maker and using it this past week...its kinda turn off... i mentioned it to Alexandra when she announced that she had a cricut video coming up
I was going to say the same thing. Four of the channels I subscribe to did videos about their Cricut machines in the last week and a half or so. I really love this channel but I did kind of sigh when I saw this was another cricut sponsored video.
Not crazy about the vinyl - I liked the old look better. But I saw how you dropped in that bomb at the end - BOYFRIEND? Woohoo! Looking forward to that!
I’ve lived in my current & first apartment for almost 9 months and I’m still constantly painting and make over my spaces but I’m coming to a point now I am getting closer to the final look I envisioned
Everyone in the comments is being so negative, so i just wanted to pop down here and say that you are so wonderful, Alexandra! Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos, you are just the best!
I'm not sure what's up with the comment section (but hey, to each their own) but this INSPIRED ME, AG! I immediately got on Pinterest while you were talking and thinking of ways to lift the personality in my office. I love this!!! And it adds dimension to a room. I've also been v into stickers so this is like that but on steroids and I'm here for it. XO!
I dig it. It's happy. Thank you for continuing being a boss and running your company despite the difficulties it can bring. You're an inspiration to a lot of us out here.
I am so excited that you have a Cricut. I bought a Cricut last year and basically crafted my way through the pandemic. Its a bit addicting. I haven’t used it for home decor but you are inspiring me to find a way to use it for home decor.
So I moved to my new rental on December and I’ve rearranged the furniture no kidding like 8 times. I’ve changed the gallery wall like 4 times. I’ve put a lot of thought into it and it’s going well. I love your videos. You, lone fox and xo macenna have been playing on the background while I craft! Oh and of course Mr Kate!! I have tall white walls and weird ledges and cutouts so I still haven’t figured out some things, but I’ll get there. Anyways, I love your channel!
Little tip for you. Flip your mat over and peel the mat away from your paper back. Literally bend your mat back while holding the paper down. It will lessen the chance of your vinyl wrinkling like they did.
Clearly the people that follow you don’t know what it’s like if your a sticker maker shop or decal small business there’s lots of mistakes that happen when printing etc which leads to waste .... all the complaining smh 🤦🏾♀️ You did a good job doing this by yourself .... there are companies that make ready to go decals but it’s cool to see it can be done at home!
Yay, can’t wait for more Cricut content! I recently got one too, and while there is definitely a learning curve to it, I bet there are a million decor things to explore ☺️
Hi! Cricut Maker user here. Highly recommend you flip your work over after you apply and burnish your transfer tape, hold down your vinyl, then peel your mat up and away from the vinyl. That prevents any curling, wrinkling or damage to your vinyl.
Hey Alexandra, paint instead and save the vinyl for another project where it really is the best option? 🌿 But thanks again for the video, Alexandra! I know you're trying to be conscious, so don't take it too personal 😋 We're all here to learn! Sending lots of love from Germany, Hanna
I'm never content with the furniture and decor placements. I give a room 4 months when I decide to rearrange everything. I recently painted my kitchen and bathroom vanity counters. I have painted my patio floors and walls.
Yesssss I love that you have a Cricut now! Hopefully this means more cricut videos in future, I got one in October last year and I’m always looking for more fun things to make with it!!
But no one is sad that she is showing affection. All the comments that I'm reading are people who are happy that she's happy and people who are scandalised by how much vinyl she wasted during the makeover.
I completely made over my entire house, screened in porch, and backyard in the last year. I thought I was a creative genius but my counselor told me it was because of my generalized anxiety disorder. I think we're both right. BTW, the two methods I use for wall design are stencils and an image projector and use paint for whatever I'm doing. With the projector I can control the size so I'm not stuck with a single size like I am with a stencil. Honestly, its less expensive, less waste and its still only paint so easier to reverse - seems like it is less time consuming than this as well. Xo
This looks like a fun weekend project! I picked up needlepoint recently because my plants are so low maintenance until spring, and I needed something else to do. I love the color of the decals! However, I have to actively not choose my favorite calming pink tones because if I add anymore it really throws off the balance of my home.
the rudeness in this comment section jeez, if you didn't like it then don't comment or be negative. the video is about the possibilities of the machine not your personal taste

@@kebert2thumbsup this is HER home, she loved it and that's the point of doing it the way she did. The comments on plastic waste are right, but going over and over about how it was better before is completely unnecessary People just need to stop being rude. It isn't that deep.
@@victoriabatista3913 I didn't realize it was rude to express an opinion about decor choices? Are you new to the internet? If she can't take genuine criticism, then she is on the wrong platform.
I think people haven’t learned the difference between constructive criticism and rudeness. You can express without coming across as rude and/or overly negative and still get the point across. Unfortunately, people forget that the common rules of politeness and being decent still apply online just as they would if talking face to face. I always enjoy what you do but this time was especially great since I just got a circut and am a little nervous about using it. You made it look easy and do-able. Thanks for that.
Why not pull off the vinyl shapes with that tool just like to did the rest of the vinyl, then just place them on your wall? This may sound like a dumb question, but I am not familiar with this kind of project.
You can but you risk ripping and wrinkling the vinyl when you are working with larger pieces. It also is a lost cause if it sticks to itself. It’s very sticky and you cannot pull it apart if that happens. Also you can pre place it to see how you want it beforehand.
I would have only used transfer tape for the target pieces so its more sturdy but the smaller pieces I would have done it without. Also, the transfer tape is great if the decal has more than one piece that you need to keep in place, like if it were a quote.
this project is so cute and came at the right time. i am just thinking about which cricut to choose. the small joy or is the big maker really worth it? thank you for your positivity😘
Currently redecorating for the first time since the pandemic started.... but we moved here in August so I decorated for the first time during the pandemic too 😂
Yay new videos to inspire my little lockdown heart! 1 tip with the cricut - take the decal off the mat before weeding and do a closer cut around your shape with scissors so you don’t waste so much vinyl : )
No redecorating for me - I discovered gardening during lockdown and have been obsessed with tomatoes, corn, coriander, snow peas, marigolds, lettuce instead 🌽🥬🥦🌶🥦🥬🌽
I'm glad you didn't use all three colors of pink. I think the touches of green actually worked well with the pink, perhaps an accent color you could use with in the future?
Since March 2020 we have gutted and re-done our bathroom, replaced the toilet and tiled that room, and black vinyl-coated our kitchen cupboards and added gold handles. So - three rooms!
Three. First the huge laundry and pantry. 32 cabinets plus full size washer and dryer. Folding table and drying rack. So really too big to be just one room. Installed new floor. Reset dining room. Finishing up the 3rd bathroom now.
Cool! I’d like to try this-I painted the entire interior of my 2000 sq foot house so I’m kinda sick of painting. 🤦🏻♀️ But this would be fun and a lot less mess-best of all, removable! I have a Cricut and understand the software pretty well so all I need now is removable vinyl
Watching this I thought her panel doors could be turned into comic strips using the Cricut. Simple line drawings in one color. Probably not Alexandra’s style but the idea amuses me.
You've probably covered this in other videos but what color and brand of white are you using here or do you typically use? I have the typical dingy apartment rental so-called white and it's really depressing me but I can't decide on the perfect shade!
For colorful boho style I really like diycore com Karla she's Brazilian so her channel is in Portuguese but if you speak Spanish you can sort of understand. ELLE UY Decor is good too for a more maximalist boho decor, but I think Alexandra stays in this color palette to create more of a brand which makes sense since she's been very open about expanding with her new office space and a bigger team.
I like the decals, but I liked the faux wallpaper just a smidgen better. I've been watching cricut users make amazing things. It is a very handy machine to have!
These are amazing!! I know you said reusable and stick on I just recently bought a Cricut and wanted some help on Reusable vinyl that is actually reusable like I can take off move around if I need to? Is that a thing?
I am contemplating getting the Cricut Joy instead because the Cricut Maker is a bit out of my budget. Your video is the third one I have seen this week that is using the Cricut. I like it because you can use it for other things and not just one specific thing. I was thinking that is a lot of color you were going to put up on your wall but then you changed your mind. I do like the salmon color you went with.
They do have mid tier machine that is the Air 2. Its price point is between the Joy and the Maker. You can still cut a lot of different materials and the Air 2 is almost always on sale somewhere.
after adding the transfer paper, what then ? (the transfer paper is on the top not the sticky side) do you run it back thur the machine , I don't understand how it makes it stick ?? I hope this makes sence! the step you added but it left me confused..lol
We have rearranged every room in the apartment, completely reconfigurated the 2nd bedroom into a sewing/ quilting space, and I think moved almost every piece of wall art. At least twice. You're so right: what else are we going to do ???
This is not something that I would do but it is renter friendly and can change a space for not a lot of money. It is easy to do and can be removed without damaging the walls.

I just bought a Cricut and have been a little scared to use it...so your tutorial was perfect!! 🤩
Looks great! Not sure yet if I am ready to purchase a cricket.
How do you keep your floors so shiny?
So much waste.
OMGS, you and Noah make an adorable couple, congratulations!
I think shapes about the same size would have looked better. And a bit of green wasn’t that bad. I would like to see you try with new colors.
@@sol7918 thanks, I speak Spanish so I'll check it out 😊👍
How come I never heard of this machine? I`m in love!!!
Looks awesome! Been thinking about buying one. Hmmmmmm 🤔
I like the decals, but I liked the faux wallpaper just a smidgen better. I've been watching cricut users make amazing things. It is a very handy machine to have!
Maybe I missed it in the video, but is this vinyl renter-friendly and easy to remove? I loved this video!
These are amazing!!
I know you said reusable and stick on
I just recently bought a Cricut and wanted some help on
Reusable vinyl that is actually reusable like I can take off move around if I need to? Is that a thing?
I am contemplating getting the Cricut Joy instead because the Cricut Maker is a bit out of my budget. Your video is the third one I have seen this week that is using the Cricut. I like it because you can use it for other things and not just one specific thing. I was thinking that is a lot of color you were going to put up on your wall but then you changed your mind. I do like the salmon color you went with.
They do have mid tier machine that is the Air 2. Its price point is between the Joy and the Maker. You can still cut a lot of different materials and the Air 2 is almost always on sale somewhere.
I’ve redecorated at least 10 times and now I have a gym that I’m doing.
Cute
It turned out so well!!!
after adding the transfer paper, what then ? (the transfer paper is on the top not the sticky side) do you run it back thur the machine , I don't understand how it makes it stick ?? I hope this makes sence! the step you added but it left me confused..lol
3 times i have resigned my kitchen bathroom an now my studio goodluck love everything ❤ you do
Great video! Are you able to make rub on furniture transfers with the cricut? Like something that won’t peel up like a sticker or decal? Thanks.
Where are @thesorrygirls ? You could make a whole terrazzo wall with these.
