*SIDE NOTE: Yes I’m aware of the typo on ‘definitely’. Also I had to change the Zorba the Greek music to some similar sounding music 🎶 🤦♀️* VIDEO DESCRIPTION Much of minimalism involves packing, organising and storage. I wanted to repackage some of my prior minimalist content in a manner that was better structured for commentary on minimalist lifestyle. It doesn't have to centre around a minimalist traveling or minimalism. What really is paramount is how we think of minimalism and how we pack that subject matter and take it with us on our metaphorical or literal minimalist journey... That is what I have attempted to do in this video... Showing how my minimalist wardrobe habits adapt to a different environment. How I consider nature and the environment in every culture and country I visit. Furthermore, how the culture fits into a minimalist mindset, is it peaceful, is it calm, is it eco conscious, is it stress free. These are all important factors for me and are what make me want to see more of a country. Greece is a country that thrives on the less is more mantra. Stoicism, spartanism, philosophy, democracy... In the shops and consumerist life on Greece, there is very few chain stores. They favour independent homemade goods. Amazon is not a part of Greek Island life. They have a low digital footprint in their daily activities. You don't see people constantly glued to phones. Capitalism is some what far removed from their culture and yet they are apparently happier people and more at peace for it. Greek people are currently one of the nationalities with the longest life expectancy. I put that down to fresh food, less processed food, low stress and a slower pace of life. I hope if you clicked on this video, you are pleasantly surprised with this angle on minimalist travel. As it is not simply a minimalist travelling but an exploration of how others lead a minimalist lifestyle in other areas of the world. Moreover, how it is possible to adapt as a minimalist when we do travel, to such peaceful places. There is always a lesson in minimalism and intentional, simple living to be learnt... ________________________________________ You can subscribe to my youtube channel for FREE below ⬇️or: MY RUclips SUBSCRIBE LINK ruclips.net/user/SagelifeMinimalism
Have a great stay in Greece! I heard, by my parents who went to the Greek islands this august, that it is awesome! :) The landscapes and architecture that you show in your vlog are very lovely!^^ (as well as the beautiful sea)
One of my favorite British movies is “Shirley Valentine”. She flies off to Greece, upending her life, and ultimately simplifying her life to the extent of letting go of almost everything she owns, including most of her clothes. It’s a fun comedy that came out in 1987. Watching this video reminded me of it. ❤
There’s a scene near the end where she is standing in the doorway of the room she sleeps in, no possessions but very happy. She inspired me to move 4000 kilometres away. I took 3 boxes.
Nice long vlog I’m happy to have some videos from last year! Time flies so fast!! 😭 Nice to have a sunny video as it rain a lot here in France. Enjoy as much as you can, Hello to Jonny and Batman 🐾🐾❤
I wonder: with the little clothers that you have - how long do you wear one t-shirt before washing and do you turn on your washing machine with just a hand full of clothers? I don't get it. I need a fresh shirt daily. Also I want the machine to be full!! That means needing 20+ shirts!!
I have an eco friendly washer. It weighs the amount of clothes you put in and only uses the minimum amount of water needed. Also washed on cold and economical 30 minute cycle. Usually there are my partners clothes to go in also. So it is never a very small load. But it’s not large either. But this is ok as it only uses the amount of energy and water for the weight of the washing load 🧺 😊
