Paige Daniel exactly! Dean gives up on Cas so easily, as soon as he does something he doesn’t like. But Sam is always there trying to look at it from Cas’ point of view and trying to understand. It’s so adorable! 😂😍
Tbh Sam is pretty much nicer to everyone. It’s his personality. They talk abt dean and his emotions during the show. Like how he doesn’t really express them much and sometimes he can’t really control them. Looool. It’s really just sam’s caring personality that makes it seem like he cares more. Dean loves cas just as much as Sam does.
Also, it's literally canon that Cas hangs out in Sam's room to watch Netflix... It's happened at least twice! (When Sam first told Cas about Netflix, he told him to go to his room and watch it. Then in a later episode we literally saw him in Sam's room, sitting on his bed, watching TV...) That's pretty adorable...

I haven’t interacted with this show and this fandom in many, many years; but recently I was thinking about it, and Sastiel in particular. I can see how the fandom latched on to Destiel (and it is, in a way, canon (though that particular circumstance is extremely unfortunate)); but I’ve always been more drawn to Sastiel. Sam and Cas’ relationship is MUCH less tense and combative than Dean and Cas’, they seem to always, always have a mutual respect and understanding for each other. It always made the most sense to me to ship Sastiel as opposed to Sabriel or Samifer or any other ship that Sam was in, and it seemed healthier and easier and more natural that Cas would be with Sam than with Dean.
I love their friendship, I thought it was so adorable even from Season 4 (I'm at Season 7 now). A lot of people forget that Cas is Sam's best friend too.
@Veronica Arzola ya Iv seen that video too and it's good. But jts like, cas will be gone for weeks at a time and sam and dean dont seem to be worried. Idk if they maybe call him offscreen or something. There are some moments in the show I'm seriously debating whether destiel is actually real becuase theres some scenes where it seems like theres clearly something more
I'm a Destiel shipper, but when my friend introduce me to Sastiel I was all like "I now ship Destiel and Sastiel" which works for me cause A Cas gets more love and B that means Cas can still have the last name Winchester in a romantic setting. ^-^
I don't ship Destiel or Sastiel, but I think Sam and Cas's relationship is so much healthier and adorable. I love Dean, but he gets angry REALLY quickly. At the same time, Sam always believe in Cas - and if not, he's the first to forgive him. I love their friendship so much!
Tbh fuck Dean. He - to my mind - never really had any substantial growth regarding how to talk to those he loves. He mistreats them and allows his own insecurities to get in the way of his meaningful relationships. And when I was a kid watching this show, sure, that didn’t matter that much. But saying you love someone and showing it are different things. Sam consistently grows and learns how to treat his loved ones, even though he grew up in the same environment as Dean. Most of the growing Sam fails to do is directly the result of Dean hindering him, refusing to see him, refusing to accept him. I’ve seen arguments that it’s because of the abuse that Dean suffered as a child. But as someone who suffered abuse in childhood, as an older sibling who suffered abuse in childhood: there is absolutely no excuse for how Dean treats Sam for much of the series. I don’t care how much he’s hurting, you NEVER call your younger sibling a fucking MONSTER.
I did always believe that Sam & Castiel had a much less toxic relationship than Destil did,they seemed much less combative and always appeared to respect each other.❤
They just seem to match better … Sam is a lot like Dean in many ways, but he has more patience, empathy, and earnestness than Dean that I think is better for Cas.
