35005 Canadian Pacific in stunning BR Blue makes a rare appearance on the Settle & Carlisle with the Cumbrian Mountain Express in July 1999. First seen running up to Dent Station, then at Garsdale Junction.

The rebuilt Merchant Navys look very handsome in blue. True, it's not historically accurate, but it could have happened if the livery hadn't have been abandoned by the time the MNs were rebuilt. I heard General Steam Navigation is going to be restored to original air-smoothed condition, so maybe that may carry this livery one day.

I know the merchant's never wore blue when rebuilt but it looks quite fetching on them.
