Ellen - I 'feel you' on the Kingdoms of Amalur - unfortunately, my game kept 'glitch-crashing' when I got to the Jottuns (giants). So, if you whilst you happen to be playing the game, and you find a total stranger sitting behind your sofa, peeking through your ponytail - it's just me, lol =^_^= Nice sneaking - next time, try Skyrim's stealth technique - Luke will never see you, even if you perform like a cheerleader at the biggest American sporting event in existence, and he's looking straight at you =^_^=
That "Lara rising from the water" thing at 12:54 looks awfully familiar and it's *not* from a Birth Of Venus painting. I think she's somewhere between Willard rising from the river: thefilmspectrum.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/Screen-Shot-2014-02-05-at-5.40.38-PM.png ... and Jim Duncan in the ruins of Lago: ruclips.net/video/sOLnb7BrMC8/видео.html Neither of those is anything you want to risk having come after you.
If you get the giggling upgrade it causes your giggles to reverberate and makes it so the enemies can't tell what direction they're coming from. Second upgrade adds a fear effect, third is eldritch madness to the affected enemies.
Thank you for your site. My dad doesn’t play a lot of games but he used to play all the tomb raider games. He would sit with your guides and work his way through each one calling me in for the more tricky timed jumps. Thank you for the happy times.
Luke - "Ellen didn't actually dislocate my shoulder, she was chasing me and I fell into a ravine..." And then Luke caught dysentery and died... meaning that the OXtra cloning lab is up and running...
Perching somewhere in the EA office, just out of site, Ellen the Anklebiter gnaws at a Tamato fish, whispering menacingly at the workers just below her. 'Amalur is the presssccious, EA will make correctly, oh yes, prescious, or Ellen gnaw at their skinny ankles, yes, YES, prescious.'
Luke's only defense against getting strangled; making Ellen laugh before she can reach him. Truly a sophisticated approach. They should teach this everywhere! Maybe send those poor suckers in Shadow of the Tomb Raider a joke book for them to read out loud to give them somewhat of a fighting chance.....
Just imagine a hostile actually telling a funny joke to his mate and lara bursts out laughing and gets detected and shot dead. Then the screen goes dark and reads "skrattar duuu forlura duu!!"
"did you hear something?" "I dunno... quick, do a Lara check!" "I USED TO BE ADDICTED TO SOAP, BUT THEN I GOT CLEAN!" *Lara bursts out laughing and falls out of the tree
So... Ellen basically turned into a Bliss Star, and Luke came in like a Skywalker and blew her the hell up. Well this is an interesting start to my weekend...
Why do you think Jane allowed Ellen to join the Oxbox family. She is using Ellen as a weapon. And don't worry, Jane knows how to control Ellen. THat's why I keep spiders in My house.
run luke run dont let ellen catch you or go near tree or cliff you never know when she go full lara or kassandra mode on you...and definitely don't run to peruvian jungle
Death Stranding is just your average invisible hand print forming, baby in a Daryl Dixon courier sim. With rapid aging, dead whales and a tentacle wielding Hannibal Lecter...What is difficult to understand?
Ellen: "If you've watched any of our VR videos, you know what I'm like..." Me, having only seen the OX Moss VR game video: "Squealing in pure glee the whole time?"
Every time I watch show of the weekend, I just fall more and more in love with these two. You two make every week better then it is and thank you for that. Have a wonderful EGX with all the fans.
What would you do with a yacht, Luke? Sail it up the Thames? It would look very out of place. Elijah, give him an empty carriage whenever he gets on the tube instead.
If giggling causes failing at stealth then I failed as well- although if Luke really wanted to be safe he would have posted guard spiders around himself. What do you mean that's not fair? Spiders are totally great at being bodyguards because *Web*
I particularly enjoyed watching the gigle-arms race of luke pulling ever-more silly faces, then Ellen not looking at Luke directly (like the laugh-medusa he is), followed by luke turning to verbal humour. Good work everyone XD
Ellen, Kingdoms of Amalur will always have a special place. It is an underappreciated gem, and you should never feel any shame or embarrassment for liking it. Stay strong!
Shadow of the Tomb Raider made me remember that I was always terrible at platform games.. Not that it stopped me and unfortunately for all the animals I have taken Janes approach to the wildlife
That basement bit reminded me of my sister. When she used to play Silent Hill, she'd complain that she didn't know where to go next -- even though she intentionally avoided scary areas. She wanted to find a completely safe path to the end of the game. lol
Oxtra at EGX!!! That means I have been watching you for over a year! I don't remember that dark time when I had no idea you existed, thank you for your hard work and amazing videos
Yep, the amount of Ellen's giggling and your overall shenanigans should keep me in life through the next week and made me watch it through a full hour, just because of repeats - probably one of the best shows of the weekend made to this day. ...good enough to almost rage-quit me because of being unable to be on EGX. Anyway, love ya guys!
So when Luke said if he saw any movement in that first round of grandma's footsteps, Did he not think Ellen's head moving to look directly at the camera was movement?
Stella got me through so much tomb raider back in the day! However, she didn't manage to prevent my sister's frequent habit of jump pressing windows instead of space...so many lara death sounds...
Broke my funny bone and my phones video rewind function watching the Gollum singalong bit during the art segment... Must have watched that bit at least 500 times by now 🤣 Love the show you guys... Remember, "Someone has bought the Kingdoms Of Amalur license"!!! 🤣🤣🤣
They're probably fine, now that they've given Ellen what they want there's no reason for her to do them any harm It's the guys at EA that I'm worried about seeing their track records with ruining any IP in their proximity.
"it's like when you put a load of mods in a game and then it's like _oh this thing hasn't loaded_ " never seen such a thing happening! and of course those invisible spiders in the latest Kippers adventure were definitely on purpose so not to startle Ellen :O
i can completely see that bit where ellen is just jumping about in pure joy about the kingdoms of Amalur news with luke just sitting with his face in his hands thinking 'how long will this go on for'.
Torn between making a comment about how impressed I am with Ellen for not breaking into giggles with the first face Luke made, or to comment about how Lukes guarding skills are about as useful as a Skyrim bandit. "Must have been the wind..."
It’s literally three in the morning and I’m about to go to bed when I get a notification. Upon checking my phone I came to a startling conclusion: sleep needs to wait
Luke, what have you done?! You realise that if you ever get super rich and buy a yatch, you will drive your self into an existential crisis thinking that you're in a simulation and that it's not your own achievement, right?
it's called transference because transference describes a situation where the feelings, desires, and expectations of one person are redirected and applied to another person. This typically happens in therapy sessions and as what I see its memory diving? xD
Daaaamn, if that's how Ellen reacted when she heard a KoA remake/sequel was *possible*, how the hell will she react if it actually *happens*??? Oh god, she's imagining it isn't she?? LOOK AWAY!!! AAARGH, IT BURNS!!!
Seeing Ellen use Skyrim stealth techniques on luke and it actually working gives me renewed motivation to continue honing my own stealth skills. I thought I was the completely wrong path thank you Ellen.
Someone knocked on my door during this video so I stepped away for a bit, and by the time I came back I forgot I'd paused with TomatoFish Gollen onscreen, so thanks for that guys.
I never got round to watching that interview they did with the Real Spiderman, but he seems to do a really good impression of John Mulaney doing an impression of the Real Spiderman
Show of the Weekend! Ellen faces a highly-sophisticated IRL stealth challenge. Plus Transference, your comments, artwork and more. Enjoy!
Speaking of d&d... where is it?
Ellen, THis time remember, it is not Birmingham, Alabama, USA
Ellen - I 'feel you' on the Kingdoms of Amalur - unfortunately, my game kept 'glitch-crashing' when I got to the Jottuns (giants). So, if you whilst you happen to be playing the game, and you find a total stranger sitting behind your sofa, peeking through your ponytail - it's just me, lol =^_^= Nice sneaking - next time, try Skyrim's stealth technique - Luke will never see you, even if you perform like a cheerleader at the biggest American sporting event in existence, and he's looking straight at you =^_^=
The tomato fish returns 😁!!

Neither of those is anything you want to risk having come after you.
"Giggling breaks stealth". And so Ellen's tomb raiding career ended before it could begin...
I was about to say the same thing! Serves me right for watching a day late...
If you get the giggling upgrade it causes your giggles to reverberate and makes it so the enemies can't tell what direction they're coming from. Second upgrade adds a fear effect, third is eldritch madness to the affected enemies.
* walking home at night *
Me: I don't think I'll go down that shortcut, it's too dark.
Nice dev lady: You have to.
Me: OH MY GOD WHO ARE YOU
Mirror, mirror on the wall
Who's that behind me in the hall?
(I borrowed that from "Welcome to Nightvale")
You go down the shortcut and find the doorknob to your home there....somehow
It's what i expect from a devil lady. ..
Please. Ellen's being of pure bliss would involve a LOT more giggles.
And Neck snapping. Lara Croft Style.
The giggles were above 20 kHz, and audible only to bats, dogs and very young children.
And cats randomly appearing
& squeeing.
What does Luke say between 2:39 and 2:43?
Thanks so much for the shout out, guys! So glad my walkthroughs have been helpful. I hope you enjoy Shadow of the Tomb Raider as much as I did. 😄
Your guides were awesome for rise of the tomb raider btw. Was nice to see your site get some recognition here. Thank you. :)
Thank you for your site. My dad doesn’t play a lot of games but he used to play all the tomb raider games. He would sit with your guides and work his way through each one calling me in for the more tricky timed jumps. Thank you for the happy times.
Thanks so much! This one is going to take a while but I hope it'll be helpful to people who get the game for Christmas! 😁
You're very welcome. Good times indeed!
Luke - "Ellen didn't actually dislocate my shoulder, she was chasing me and I fell into a ravine..."
And then Luke caught dysentery and died... meaning that the OXtra cloning lab is up and running...
And Ellen clone now is equiped with a Pure Bliss combat mode and Lara Croft skill set addon. Jane must be realy happy with her new OX-Army project :)
Shh!! The clones don't know they're clones!
I knew the opening sketch was going to be gold. We need to harness Lukes power of destroying bliss balls.
Can we wait until _after_ Animal Crossing switch comes out for that? Just in case he targets the bliss balls forming around that announcement.
Seems fair, it'll probably take a while to learn how to control the energy generated anyway.
That image is very disconcerting
Ellen: 'This game that I just like quietly'

This game that I was ‘quietly’ like this is great.
Quietly.... Ellen, you gotta be kidding me
Glad I'm not the only one who was baffled
To be fair, she did add 'years ago' to that, which implies she didn't talk about it much until she joined Outside Xtra.
So... Ellen basically turned into a Bliss Star, and Luke came in like a Skywalker and blew her the hell up.
Well this is an interesting start to my weekend...
'Grandma's Footsteps' 101 is actually the first class you take at F.L.A.M.I.N.G.O. Academy. (only the best training at the Academy) (the best)
I would actually love to see Luke's Dazzling dog squad doing that training.
ifindyourlackofhumordisturbing _ amazing
Who said Andy copied Spidermans ringtone? Maybe Spiderman copied Andy's ringtone? It could be that Spiderman is a huge Andy fan.
Ellen in pure bliss is great~
Ellen in pure anger is even greater!
finaly a challenging opponent for Jane :D
A challenge for calm Jane. Angry Jane, on the other hand, wouldn't even notice her.
Just don't go to any jungles or anywhere else that has a lot of shadows and other platformings that possible for stealth kills
Please do a full playthrough for the channel! Preferably it being Ellen's first time playing to capture the moments of pure bliss from Ellen.
Seems like Luke understood Transference just as much as everyone understands Death Stranding.
That is, not at all.
Not so sure about that, he seemed to undertand Ellen was transfering Bliss in the thumbnail.
Death Stranding is just your average invisible hand print forming, baby in a Daryl Dixon courier sim. With rapid aging, dead whales and a tentacle wielding Hannibal Lecter...What is difficult to understand?
Ellen: "If you've watched any of our VR videos, you know what I'm like..."

Nothing on RUclips is more wholesome and life-affirming than Ellen and Luke simply enjoying themselves and appreciating each others company.
What would you do with a yacht, Luke? Sail it up the Thames? It would look very out of place. Elijah, give him an empty carriage whenever he gets on the tube instead.
Can it be an empty carriage with unpainted aluminium walls?
If giggling causes failing at stealth then I failed as well- although if Luke really wanted to be safe he would have posted guard spiders around himself. What do you mean that's not fair? Spiders are totally great at being bodyguards because *Web*
Giggling breaks stealth. Dammit Luke, why don't you tell me that sooner? I always maniacally giggle before i try to stealth kill in Dishonored.
Whoever was loudly playing a tuba really defeated the object of Ellen's stealth challenge
Is it called Shadow Of The Tomb Raider because that's all you see of her before she swoops down and destroys you?
I like that at 8:36 when Luke is doing his radio impression a link comes up for “7 terrifying sounds we’ll never get out of our heads”
Does this mean that Ellen's perfect game is *Lara Croft - Tomb Raider of Amalur?*
It would be called Kingdome of Lara - Croft Tomb raiding Amalur :)
I'm proud of Ellen for not giggling more and Luke for not taking advantage of his direct line to Ellen's funnybone and sure movement
I particularly enjoyed watching the gigle-arms race of luke pulling ever-more silly faces, then Ellen not looking at Luke directly (like the laugh-medusa he is), followed by luke turning to verbal humour.
Good work everyone XD
*Ellen Sneaks Up*
*Luke Turns*
*Ellen Freezes*
*Luke Turns Away*
*Ellen snaps Luke's neck*
Ellen: Do I win???
Luke: ...
Things are literally always good when Ellen is talking about KoA, and Tomb Raider.
Ellen, Kingdoms of Amalur will always have a special place. It is an underappreciated gem, and you should never feel any shame or embarrassment for liking it. Stay strong!
Ellen can make the whole show about whatever she wants. I’d definitely still watch it. Keep up the great content!
More than anything about this channel, I absolutely love how much fun these guys have making it.
10:01 that noise just melts my heart
It feels so like showoffy to say but the lute was 100% figured out as i went cause boy howdy I had no idea how to make a lute out of yarn either xD
It looked amazing, congratulations on your improvisation skills
I suspect Luke was doing an "unaware tomb raider guard" impression, but honestly what I saw was a dinosaur impression xD
Brilliant, absolutely hilarious. thank you all for continuing to keep our eyes smiling.
Yep, the amount of Ellen's giggling and your overall shenanigans should keep me in life through the next week and made me watch it through a full hour, just because of repeats - probably one of the best shows of the weekend made to this day.
...good enough to almost rage-quit me because of being unable to be on EGX. Anyway, love ya guys!
haven't thought about grandma's footsteps in a solid decade and now I just wanna play thanks guys
So when Luke said if he saw any movement in that first round of grandma's footsteps, Did he not think Ellen's head moving to look directly at the camera was movement?
seeing Ella jump aroumd to the news was so cute made my day what a great way to start the morning thank you guys for everything you do
I love how in the second round of the Grandma's Footsteps game Ellen just avoids looking at Luke's face...pro strats
Stella got me through so much tomb raider back in the day! However, she didn't manage to prevent my sister's frequent habit of jump pressing windows instead of space...so many lara death sounds...
It wouldn't be classic Tomb Raider if you didn't randomly jump into space or press the Windows button and crash the game! Oh, the memories! 😂🎮
This is quite possibly my favorite opening to any episode of the OxTowers franchise ever.
You two are my absolute favourites. Please never stop
Broke my funny bone and my phones video rewind function watching the Gollum singalong bit during the art segment... Must have watched that bit at least 500 times by now 🤣 Love the show you guys... Remember, "Someone has bought the Kingdoms Of Amalur license"!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I never knew I needed a video with Ellen and Rob speaking like gollum to eachother but I do now!!!
Imagine if KOA met Assassin's Creed met Tomb Raider for a game. Ellen would never get off the sofa talking about it until the game came out
Just add time traveling Lara with fate powers as a playeble character to new Assasin's Creed game (DLC maybe?) and we have that game already :D
Luke: And giggling breaks the stealth!
Ellen: OK, I give up!
i love how Ellens first reaction to a shadow monster is to put up her hand wall and look the other way instead of running lol
THQNordic buys KOA? How many people did Ellen have to threaten to make this happen? My God... Someone check on THQNordic and see if they're ok.
I checked they're all ok... well aside from the bite marks on thier ankles.
They're probably fine, now that they've given Ellen what they want there's no reason for her to do them any harm
It's the guys at EA that I'm worried about seeing their track records with ruining any IP in their proximity.
Hopefully we won't get KoA II: The Legend of Dead Kel's loot boxes...
KOA is screwed EA ruin everything it should have stayed dead
Out of this and the other channel, Ellen is my favorite.
That was the Weeping Angels' weakness, too. Make them giggle and they self-destruct.
"it's like when you put a load of mods in a game and then it's like _oh this thing hasn't loaded_ "
never seen such a thing happening! and of course those invisible spiders in the latest Kippers adventure were definitely on purpose so not to startle Ellen :O
i can completely see that bit where ellen is just jumping about in pure joy about the kingdoms of Amalur news with luke just sitting with his face in his hands thinking 'how long will this go on for'.
And in that Spyro clip as the female dragon, it's Christina Ricci.
The early 2000s. What a time.
"How can I make this stealth movement more effective?? Ah yes the Tuba, the most stealthy of all instruments" 😂😂
Torn between making a comment about how impressed I am with Ellen for not breaking into giggles with the first face Luke made, or to comment about how Lukes guarding skills are about as useful as a Skyrim bandit.
"Must have been the wind..."

This show of the weekend episode is Outside Xtra perfection, love this channel
Get him Ellen!!! Damn you Luke for being a voice of reason. Couldnt you let the fans have a moment?
That Ellen/Gollum art had me in absolute bits laughing, only compounded by Luke's specific request that it not happen
it's called transference because transference describes a situation where the feelings, desires, and expectations of one person are redirected and applied to another person. This typically happens in therapy sessions and as what I see its memory diving? xD
Of course Ellen giggling would give her away lol
The cliff edge one is my favourite Lara moment.
That intro was the entire special effects budget for the year
33:09 has strong "Do you find it... *wisible??"* energy
Luke: "One more mime?"
Me: "Elijah can you please remove that form the world data please"
Powerful spider buttocks got me 😂
20:15 So you think you know Tomb Raoder quiz opportunity missed. Seriously, need more of these quizzes.
Daaaamn, if that's how Ellen reacted when she heard a KoA remake/sequel was *possible*, how the hell will she react if it actually *happens*???
Oh god, she's imagining it isn't she?? LOOK AWAY!!! AAARGH, IT BURNS!!!
Why is there something calming about the idea that elijah wood runs the universe?
Jojo the Swede - clearly you've never seen him play a creepy, smiling and emotionless serial killer
@@dragon-kitty you are right, i haven't.... what movie?
Jojo the Swede - sin city haven't seen it but I've seen pics of the character and I haven't looked at him the same since
That opening is exactly what I pictured Ellen's reaction to this news about KOA would be.
Given that Elijah Wood was Frodo, was he even shorter than Ellen? WE MUST BE TOLD!!!
KoA? SotTR? Elijah wood? This is Ellen's episode!
I love these two lol!!!! Team Ellen and Luke for the win.
Too good!
And
11:12 eep! He took the ring off!
Luke Westaway the biggest ellen bliss destroyer since ever
Dapper Horus Unless... any potential new titles include game mechanics she hates?
Seeing Ellen use Skyrim stealth techniques on luke and it actually working gives me renewed motivation to continue honing my own stealth skills. I thought I was the completely wrong path thank you Ellen.
My husband and I LOVED playing Reckoning. I'm so excited to hear that it will get a sequel or remake. 🎉. Cool video. Enjoy your day
Ellen's stealth reminded me of Drax's ability to turn invisible by being incredibly still... Excellent video, hope you kids have fun at EGX!
I was fully expecting to have to say goodbye to Luke forever after that intro!
During that sneaking game they were playing, I was having flashbacks to Jurassic Park. "His vision is based on movement "
You crazy pair of cats. make me giggle every weekend. So much love for you folks. 😍😍😁😁
Lara Craft Vampire the Masquerade Chronicles. Lol.
I've been waiting all week for Ellen's reaction to the news . . . did not disappoint.
Hats off to Ellen, I didn't last that long without giggling!
Someone knocked on my door during this video so I stepped away for a bit, and by the time I came back I forgot I'd paused with TomatoFish Gollen onscreen, so thanks for that guys.
"giggling breaks stealth" well.there goes Ellens chance of being a secret agent lol
19:21 Ellen's reached a whole new level of laughter: Collapsing.
Just noticed when Ellen gets scared her accent gets more pronounced ❤️
I never got round to watching that interview they did with the Real Spiderman, but he seems to do a really good impression of John Mulaney doing an impression of the Real Spiderman
"If my main don't open wide, I've got a reserve by my side. And if that one should fail me too, look out below I'm a-coming through."
-Laura, probably
Kingdoms of Amalur and Tomb Raider talk, this is definitely an Ellen episode if I've ever seen one.
