Hands down the best RUclips self cut tutorial channel....honestly i have seen them all and put hours into mastering this technique but this guy...... no frills no messing around - nails it everytime. Great work m8
I purchased this 360 mirror back in May due to lockdown and it has been so helpful; I have improved doing my own hair immeasurably. Not quite Andrew Cuts-standard, but I’m getting really good! Thoroughly recommend investing in one of these for anyone reading this.
I started cutting my own hair in January after my barber increased the price for fades. I started with a 25 dollar Wahl clipper from amazon. The clipper doesn’t even have a lever. Anyway, the videos that provided the most guidance to me were Andrew’s. I think he was also one of the few barbers with videos of self cutting before the pandemic. At 8:19 he says it isn’t easy and and takes time and practice to learn and that couldn’t be anymore true. It’ll definitely help to retouch your hair every 4 to 6 days to practice and get the fade motion down. Andrew definitely does the best self fades on RUclips. When I was watching his videos I was also paying close attention to his hand motions and it definitely helps. Fast forward six months, I upgraded to the Wahl magic clip. While it’s definitely a much better clipper, it won’t help much unless you have previous practice. I’d say it’s best to start out with a basic clipper and then move up to a better one once you know you’ll be cutting your own hair for sure.
Wow thank you for the kind words bro. It’s awesome to hear that you’re making progress and that my videos played a small part in your progress. Couldn’t agree more about the importance of patience and practice. When I was starting out I would cut my hair every 3-4 days just to work on my coordination. I also agree that it’s better to start with a cheaper clipper and then upgrade the better you get. Thanks for the comment brother and keep up the good work!
I have watched everybody’s videos on RUclips trying to learn how to give myself a bald fade, and your tutorial is by far the best in detail how to do it! I watch your videos as I’m cutting my hair! Eventually I’ll memorize every step, and cut it quicker! Thanks bro!!!!
for you noobs out there, try using 1 guard closed about an inch up from your initial guideline. this is a lot easier to fade out. the no guard open is obviously a cleaner cut but it is also much harder to blend. even the professional in the video struggled a little to get the line out. just my 2 pence
Awesome video, my self haircuts are getting better and better. You make the best tutorials I've seen and easiest to follow in my opinion. Also, you don't need to buy those 360 mirrors for $90-$100, I use 3 door mirrors that I got from target for $7 each. Practice makes perfect and I recommend using a headband or something to help start the first guideline if you don't have anyone to help you. Don't expect it to come out perfect if its your first time, you might be wearing a hat outside for the next 2 weeks like I did when I first started lmao. Hope a video on cutting the top is coming soon as well, kinda hard to cut by yourself with scissors. Keep up the great videos man!
I have been cutting my hair for about 3/4 of a year now but i have Never cut my Hair as good as with This Video. He is probably the Best Self-Cut youtuber
Ty bro , first time trying to cut my hair and it turned out pretty good surprisingly. Saved me heaps of money now since barbers are pushing absurd prices nowadays
Just did this. My first time cutting turned out pretty decent. I was nervous and shaking the mirror when I was starting bro but it turned out pretty fire. I appreciate the video bro 💪
Totally agreed with Kieren. Best video out here to date. Nicely detailed video, along with the voice over (voice overs are are usually annoying - - - but not here)... Fact! ha. Surprised to see any dislikes tbh ;-)
Bro, I’ve watched mad videos and Andrews are the ones to watch. I’m grabbing my clips and things today hopefully the first cut on my own come outs at least okay my first time. I don’t have great expectations but I’m super picky with how my cuts are so hopefully 😂 wish me luck 😅
I do the exact same however cos I’m right handed its more difficult using the clipper left handed to do the other side. Not been to barber in 18months and I keep my fades clean and sweet every 7-10 days. Once you crack this, it’s a lifetime talent that will save you thousands
Hey, I appreciate the kind words! The Wahl magic clip cordless are my favorite clippers and the andis slimline pros are my favorite trimmer. If you want to go for a cheaper option, I recommend anything Wahl. You can find a cheap set of a wahls at Walmart and they’ll do the job
Bro I like getting my haircut, good people, great barber but I tip $20 my fault but I like paying it forward. The only thing is I think I can do it myself so I’m gonna buy a mirror and a set of clippers. Thanks and God Bless🤙
Well done!! I’m female but recently got all my hair cut off for first time in 36 years. Got it got into fade 3 x so far by great barbers. Decided that I want to learn how to do it myself. I’ve got my clippers and trimmers but do not have a foil shaver. Is there a way to get similar look with the trimmer and or clippers on the no hair part below the fade ??? Or should I just get a foil shaver.
I really need this mirror since I'm shit in using a handheld mirror for the back of my head. But I don't think it comes with a blue light, like the Self Cut System mirror has. That would be a great help while I'm cutting since you can never have enough light.
I love my selfcut system because of the built in lights. So convenient and like you mentioned, the more light the better. This mirror unfortunately does not have the built in lights but if it did, it would take it to another level
Ok cool I appreciate the feedback! Since quarantine I’ve been cutting my own hair from watching your videos and each time I’m progressing. Keep the content coming bro!
Just started cutting my own hair since lockdown. Have watched your vids for tips. Considering buying a 360 mirror. You posted one on self cut system and this one from lipfisbarber. Which one do you prefer using? And thanks for posting these vids.
Personally I prefer my selfcut system just because it has the built in lights and the mirrors are slightly bigger. If you want to go with a cheaper option the Lipfi’s barbershop will do the job as well
Hey Andrew. Just received my scs with lights today. 2 weeks to Dublin so not too bad. Just over €200 with customs charge though 😢 . Thanks again for the recommendation.
I prefer the magic clips. They’re more powerful and easier to maneuver (the cordless version that is). Fast feeds are solid too, especially if you’re looking to spend a little less. Big downside with the fast feeds is you’ll have to get the andis magnetic guards as the Oster guards are junk. Overall magic clips all day in my opinion but both are solid
damn I can't believe It's been 5 months. I actually created my own method for fading and I'm a decent barber now I would say, and also I cut my own hair and will never have another barber fuck up my hair again lmao@@albagubrath1
Still waiting on your 100 days beard growth I have only got a gotee anyone got any tips for growing a full thick beard I try growing it but I only get fine hair on the cheeks nothing like my gotee ?
I ordered this mirror and it never arrived. The tracking said “delivered” & they basically said i was lying. Mind you i have cameras everywhere and would have known if there was even a attempted delivery. If you are considering getting a 3 way mirror go with Self Cut System. Better customer service!
JaySwish Gaming Really? I ordered mine in May from the U.K. and it came within 10 working days. I thought their service was excellent. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
I waited 5 weeks, thought i was scammed. Then it finally arrived but unfortunately it was crap quallity, when u try to clean the mirror it self the mirror get scratches. So its better to clean without a cloth.
Bad quallity mirror. And took them a long time to deliver the product. I also saw allot of ppl who never got their package anyway! I think self cut system is better to order

this one is the most fire cut you've done by far.

Lol I’m looking into cutting my hair and am literally gonna do that, buy3 mirrors and hinge them together . Costs less then $20
Another brilliant tutorial! Definitely one of the best on this platform.
Thank you!!🙏🙏

AWESOME VIDEO BRO, SUBSCRIBED .
Was thinking about investing in 360 mirror i loved your video and every step you took
this mirror is magic 😍😍😍😍
I got a similar mirror from IKEA for £45, just gave myself a fade this is a game changer lol. Thanks for the tutorial and tips bro 👍
For sure brother 🙏🙏🙏
Beard looking on point!
Thank you!!🙏🙏
Just got that mirror, way cheaper than the self cut system. Nice cut bro, keep it up.
It’s definitely a more affordable option. Thank you bro!
just ordered it. When did yours arrive - from uk
I need that beard tutorial bro 🔥
Excellent work as always.
Thank you 🙏
Used your tutorials twice now, very easy to follow and Ive had good results for a beginner! Keep it going!
Glad to hear that bro! Thank you🙏🙌
Need that top portion of the head tutorial buddy!!!
You doing the best fade man. I like Your Videos...
Thanks brother!!
@@AndrewCuts which the best hair gel for blond hair men?
I do the exact same however cos I’m right handed its more difficult using the clipper left handed to do the other side.

Handsome boy 🤩
Nice tutorial, thanks
Hi Andrew, you're freaking amazing! I'm trying to get some new tools at the moment. What would you say is your favorite or most used clipper? Thanks!
Can you do a low or drop fade plz
Are those trimmer’s zero gapped? I’m new to this so just figuring it all out!
Can you do a video in how to clean the mirror..
Do you recommend doing one side and them the second or al the head at a time?
Can you make a video about how you trim the top portion of your hair? Thank you.
Absolutely I’ll work on getting that out 👍
Good work man
Thank you🙏🙏
What length is the top portion of your hair ? Also very good tutorial I'm still practicing
Bro I like getting my haircut, good people, great barber but I tip $20 my fault but I like paying it forward. The only thing is I think I can do it myself so I’m gonna buy a mirror and a set of clippers. Thanks and God Bless🤙
do you think zero gapping clippers is necessary?
Plz upload new vdo SIR. I m big fan of ur talent and waiting 4 ur vdo.
Hey Andrew, is there any difference between a trimmer and a zero-gapped clipper, a little bit confused since I have watched a lot of videos
Very nice 👌🏼
Bro do you cut around the head with the trimmer or a slight angle on the back?
As long as you have a good trimmer, you' don't really need a foil shaver, it's just like a little extra thing for the picky ones.
Bro how tall are you? Your head bout to go through the roof 😂.
You fire I need to learn
I really need this mirror since I'm shit in using a handheld mirror for the back of my head. But I don't think it comes with a blue light, like the Self Cut System mirror has. That would be a great help while I'm cutting since you can never have enough light.

If you had the 1.5 guard, would that be in the closed position?
Are they zero gapped your clippers?
Yooo how did you clean the mirror? I used windex and paper towel(like I use on any other mirror) and it scratched my mirror 😔 I was disappointed.
Bald fade vid next pls
Can l use 4.5 mm guard instead of #1 guard open corner ?If l can use, open or halfway?I m not sure that l can use corner for first time selfcut fade.
I have a dumb question. If you had the 1.5 guard where would you keep the adjustment lever when lightning up the dark spots
Start with it open if that doesn’t get it out drop down to closed
Ok cool I appreciate the feedback! Since quarantine I’ve been cutting my own hair from watching your videos and each time I’m progressing. Keep the content coming bro!

What happens if I don’t have a .5 guard
Man does your beard grow naturally? I need help filling mine in and making it thicker on cheeks 😂
Lol a lot of it has to do with genetics but I’ve heard Biotin can help facial hair come in fuller 👍
Andrew Cuts thanks man 🙏🏼 keep up the content. Your videos turned myself into a barber 💈 😂😂
Just wondering, why is ur celling so low 😂😂
is the mirror easy to use?
Lip fis mirror or self system? Which ones better ?
Bro do haircut only using clipper 🙏🙏
Which selfcut mirror band you recommend?
can you show how you clip the top?
Mid taper tutorial next?
Yeah I’ll work on that!
I’m about to cut my lil bro’s hair for the first time bc of covid , I’m so nervous lol ima record it tho
My Machine dont have lever open and closing How can i do fade then?
Are your babyliss trimmers zero gapped?
Where did you get the mirror from ?
Do you think the babyliss clipper and trimmer and plus the shaver are a good starting kit?
They’re a little pricy to be getting as a starting kit but they’re great equipment for sure
,5 I don't have comb, what can I do alternative ?
Watch this one m.ruclips.net/video/Z9SIXFk5go8/видео.html
Yo Andrew in your opinion: Oster Fast Feed or Wahl Magic Clips?
I prefer the magic clips. They’re more powerful and easier to maneuver (the cordless version that is). Fast feeds are solid too, especially if you’re looking to spend a little less. Andrew Cuts thank you! Dope vid as always bro! Btw for someone like myself who’s just starting off, what kind of trimmers do you recommend?
What about the top??
Meanwhile im trying to figure out what guard open and closed is and no corner and corner
Send a link wit the tools homie 🥺
what should I do if the 1 open doesn't take out the line between the 1 closed and 2 closed?
Go in with a half open and use the corners.. remember to flick out though

How can I order this product?
Think it’s possible to do this fade with just a wahl Sterling? Goes from number 0-4
Most definitely

Rogier Van Raalte Dude return. Tell them how they scratch. I actually need to clean my self cut mirror.
Got mine in a week (i'm in florida)! the quality was really ok, and cheaper than the selfcut system so i would recommend!
The mirror itself scratches way to easily
Bro either tall af or that ceilings low as hell 😂😂😂😂😂😂
bought the mirror m months ago, never received it. They don’t reply on mails. Basically i got scammed.
Dang sorry to hear that. Reach out to their customer service hopefully they’ll be able to help. Best of luck🙏🙏

They are both good but way overpriced. You can get some for $40 that are just as good on offer up
Really ? i got mine in less than a week, it has been shipped from Nevada
dude you took just 14 minutes? my f** half asian hair takes me 2 hours even not perfect as yours 😂
