@@tobielbon1899 Rastas in Jamaica push this consciousness more than anyone else. Some Jamaicans don't wanna associate themselves as Africans and matter of facts, they will even say they Jewish from Israel SMH the Israelites. So no, not all Jamaicans want Africa or have anything to do with Africa. Is just like some African American in America, they DNT wanna be call Africans, they hate Africa and Africans and DNT want to associate anything about Africa. I am speaking out of experience, I worked in Jamaica reggae music for 20yrs with big producers, djs and artist and New York plus California and travel with artist and DJs in many states in America. I know what am saying. Rasta Jamaicans push Africa consciousness to a more higher and prouder level than any blacks in the diaspora apart from Africans who are born in Africa.

This guy reminds of when I was growing up, all the places he mentions was a bush. You can literally buy a land at that time for $200 dollars . The people in Ghana don’t see Ghana the same way as this person expresses. Right behind them, the is a church-going on. That is Ghana for you, Ghana, for the most part, is peaceful, if you are not a troublemaker you can live in Ghana as long as you want to. He is a Ghanaian, I don't care what anybody says he is one of our own.

Well not only that the single black star on Ghana's flag was taken from Marcus Garvey
Black star line,(1919) as a symbol of back to Africa movements.
I think Ghana's first president Kwame Nkrumah asked for it to be there as he was a staunch supporter of Marcus Garvey.
So Jamaica and Ghana has a longtime relationship from Slavery days, colonial days until present day.
Back in the late 70's we were only told that 71% of the population has Ghana ancestry. It was always Ghana we learned mostly about back then, knowledge has increased and we now know that we are decendants of all the west African countries mainly the former british colonies ; but I think most Jamaicans see themselves as ghananians decendants.

Most Black Caribbeans today didn’t have their DNA compromised compared to African slaves who were taken to the US and South America.
Interracial marriages and cross cultural experiences for Black people in America in particular has made them slightly shift away from their African identity. Subconsciously/Mentally, African Americans are VERY different from Caribbeans and Africans. So YES! It’s easier to pair Caribbeans as closely related to Africans.

You have made Ghana your home and it has worked out well for you spiritually. Calling Jamaica a prison may be considered disrespectful and offensive, however everyone is entitled to their opinion. I wish you a long and happy life in Africa.

No disrespect is intended. To our ancestors, Jamaica was a prison. It was not their home, they were trapped there. It took centuries to be considered our home.
We are, and will always be, Africans first, and Jamaicans second.

Those wanting to relocate to the motherland are welcomed and will feel at home. G20 citizens are coming to Africa supposedly holidaying. You too, pick some African countries of your choices, visit them then decide whether to settle or just visit every now and then. Whatever you have been told that maybe holding you back, just shake it and accept to live your own experiences because seeing is believing! So, Do not wait up! Good luck to y'all.

For, if on earth there must be somewhere Blacks must be free, Africa should be one of those places. Unfortunately in Africa, despite the history, there are people who have no problem to set themselves as sources of suffering and pain to Blacks in Africa, fortunately Ghana where the political leadership isn't an instrument of perpetuation of contempt of Africans, contrary to the country at East of Ghana where a 60-year-old bloody and dynastic tyranny supported and promote worldwide by slavers, is the country where millions must be born to suffer in a sort of slaves fields. If you disagree with, coalitions of predators will terrorize, persecute and ruin you worldwide and especially in some European countries. But we as our parents have made our lives a sacrifice.
