- We have updated our arctic cat F1100 jack shaft design. This video will show you how to install the bearing, snap rings and shims. Don't forget to pack the bearing full of the included grease. Also apply grease to the shaft before putting on your gear.
Please note this video is only for the chain case side.

Is this something I need to update on the OSP Jackshaft that I got and installed ~ 2 years ago?
No you are fine - This is the Gen 2 Jack shaft.
Why does that bearing move so much??? I have a 2015 ZR 9000 that has the updated jackshaft from Factory. Last season at 5000 miles the sled started slipping out of gear, I removed the chaincase , the jackshaft bearings were junk. I have several friends with newer 4 Stroke Turbo cats and they are all doing the same thing, The upper gear has a race or bushing in it and it was totally worn out, my reverse gear was shot too, I am very thorough on maintaining my sled, , I change my fluids every year etc, I drive fast but never beat on the sled!!! I wonder if anyone else is having the same issues, I am going to aftermarket heavy duty bearings, hopefully that will solve the problem
