@@ghanshyamrathod7593 obviously altroz. For the same price, you get heavier, safest hatch in India, while you also get better stability at higher speeds. The heaviness and the steering goes in it's favor as it feels more stable, confident and planted on the road. And moreover if you go for Dark Edition, the looks are better as compared to Baleno.

I personally took test drive of both Baleno and altroz.....altroz you ll feel like rigid and tight in comfort....Baleno is very smooth....for a city drive user Baleno tops the mark.

The good thing about Baleno is it is highly reliable, easy to drive with low maintenance. If you have mostly city commute like going to office, dropping off kids to school, this is a perfect car.
What about highways?
@@DeepanDhanapal if you have highway rides, then avoid Baleno. It's a perfect city car. It is easy to maneuver and drive in traffic.

If you want highway car, then you need to upgrade to a bigger car, with a bigger engine and higher safety standards
Hope if Baleno can get 4 star then it would be great. Safety should be on priority in India and people know and think about safety now a days while buying a New car.

Haha bhai aam aadmi jo 3.5 lakh per month se kam kamaata hai vo hmesha yhi lega or uski aukaat hi yhi lene ki hai. Baki ameer logo ki India m kami nahi mai ese ese logo ko janta hu jinka rent ka pesa per month 15 lakh + ata hai . Upper middle class koi bhi gaadi lesakti hai middle class bas maruti hi afford kar sakta hau

Good to see Maruti Suzuki adding features like Cruise control and six air bags in Baleno. But I still feel they should have introduced a six speed MT with a turbo option. Hopefully they'll do this in upcoming Vitara Brezza

Sir Balenoa mere paas bhi hai. 2018 sey. Sub mast hai. Car main . Space , music system, ovR system, all. . only one thing need to improve in Baleno .. body of car.. body itnii 3rd class hai. Ki hum jaise bhi hath sey uski body press kar sakte hai .. body need to hard

Also Highway mileage being 16 seems very wrong, people have achieved 16 in city and almost 21 on highways

@motoroctane waited for your review since 23rd Feb. I checked both old and new Baleno. Build quality is really improved.
I need a clarification: what do you suggest between Punch AMT vs Baleno AGS? I feel Hill hold is must have which is missing in Punch. Hence I am inclined towards Baleno, any other points which I need to consider for not missing Tata Punch.

Punch's engine is quite anaemic. Baleno's engine looks better and therefore the calibration of its Automatics should also reflect accordingly
@@prakasharun597 I think you'd be better off with the Baleno if you want hill hold that much and plus, it's a reliable, popular, feature-rich car and with all the new changes they've brought in, it's way more VFM than any Punch variant. Ofcourse, MS says they've improved safety in Baleno but you can only judge/see for yourself; if you value safety as your topmost priority, there's not many better cars than Tata's(Tiago, Tigor, Punch, Altroz, Nexon.) Also, Altroz DCT is around the corner, if you signed off Altroz because of it's lack of automatic.
@@Fs99al thanks for the response. I am interested for AMT type only in which I can use tiptronic mode which is quite engaging than other automatic. Tata made heavy weight cars and gets crash test score hight. But I wonder if they are giving so much important for safety, why they did not provided brake assist, hill hold and ESP in which. That's why I feel punch is a over hyped product. Also, I feel 4 cylinder engine is bette than 3 cylinder tata enginee
Steering not returning back to 0 position is a major issue with Baleno. I have the Gen1 baleno and the steering simply refuses to return. I took it to the showroom and as per them there is nothing wrong with my Baleno. Its really tiring and a bit risky when you are driving in Ghats.
I am also a baleno user from past 3 years and i can say there is no problem in steering returning of baleno this problem is only with your car kindly show this to some good mechanic
Even my alto's steering works perfectly.. It always returns back to 0 position
Only time you will face this issue is when the balancing n alignment not done properly. Even with upsize of my tire , steering was returning to zero without any intervention

Just Booked my Luxe Beige Baleno Alpha Manual today...90 days waiting....anyways wish me luck .....my first ever car....but i also love i20....both are fab cars....and right now, the prices between baleno and i20 are almost identical....
infact if you ask me, i20 is more VFM....for same price it is giving you a bigger touchscreen, Bose Sound system compared to Arkamys....a sunroof.....yes Baleno has a 360 cam and a HUD..but I would prefer the feature list of i20....
it's just that where I live the maruti network is much stronger and the workshop and this dealership is next door and also a friend of mine had an i20 elite and she told me her ownership experience was subpar in terms of reliability of the car...so i choose baleno...and also in this Luxe Beige colour, the Baleno just looks top notch..even better than i20 imho....
but of course looks are subjective....I agree with most of your points..I test road both of them for over 10 kms...multiple times....before making a choice...the tractability of baleno's engine is much better than i20...in terms of Naturally Aspirated options...i20 does have better high speed stability and brakes...but in terms of space, i20 is more spacious, sure the boot is a little smaller, but the rear seat space is unmatched, even putting some sub compact SUVs to shame...
i20 also has a lot of creature comforts such as wireless charger, air purifier and the list goes on....Baleno does have slightly better seats...
it's almost inseparable, like king kong vs godzilla....
anyways both are fantastic cars, anyone will be happy with either...and both are evenly priced as well with good dealer/service network and very acceptable ownership costs...i20 was released in 2019, maybe it is due for a minor update...
What I am going to say might hurt some Maruti fans,
I don't know why that if Maruti has actually worked on build quality and safety then they should be confident enough to send their car for crash test, still they are trying to boycott GNCAP.
Yes, Maruti is already ruling the market but people are getting aware of safety.....so in the future if they improve their build quality no one can avoid it......btw i am not a MS fan.
Tin Can company is wise enough to predict its GNCAP safety rating of this stupid balloon.
GNCAP tests only lower trims. As this balloon is built on same HEARTECT platform, result gonna be same.
Tin Can company is publicitizing 6 airbags concept to give an impression that built quality is increased. 👎👎

If build quality is really increased, then why the concerned company did not open bookings with GNCAP crash test report to shut mouths of rivals?
GNCAP only tests lower trims. Is this car having 6 airbags in all its varients to provide same safety features to all class of customers?

If maruti focus on build quality then maruti cars are the best tata car lacks a lot ! I m tho owner of tiago gearbox and engine is not smooth frankly speaking gear shifts mein halka sa thora fasta h gear ! Shift smooth ni h ! Build quality achi h bas ! Suspension bohot stiff h hadd se jayda ! Speed breaker mein 8-9 k speed mein bhi bumps feel hote h
Bought this in July 2022 as our first car for family purposes and this is how I've felt about it.
PROS
1. The engine is super smooth really! noise level feels just above an electric ig😂
2. Space is alot! Everywhere. Too spacious a car.
3. Suspensions are quite comfortable.
4. Quite fast. Picks up very quickly.
5. Speakers are good.
6. Features are good too. I like maruti connected car tech the most that gives real time information where the car is parked
7. I like the looks and specially the lighting - minimalist and pleasant.
8. Milage is decent enough. 15-17 in city drive.
Cons
1. The body is just not strong at all. Tin ka dabba unfortunately is a truth still. Infact this was one of the factors that was causing me to not go for this earlier but people said maruti has done something about it in 2022 one. I don't feel much.
2. Body catches scratch very quickly. You take it past beside a thorn and you'll get one. This is too irksome. Paying around 10 lacs you atleast expect a safe and strong body.
Overall if you're looking for space, comfort and maruti brand for reliability this is a good option but if you're too bent on the safety side you should definitely reconsider this.
What about efficiency
@@arunching efficiency i'd say would be segment best at 17-18 city and 20+ at highways. I'm a new driver & have learnt on this car only driving very roughly i get around 14 but an experienced driver would easily extract the best
