I love all of your products. You can see, hear and feel the love and passion that you've put into designing and building every unit. Unparalleled excellence... please keep doing what your doing because I love it, as do so many others... here in Toronto, Canada... and I'm guessing pretty much every where else around the globe from coast to coast! Never stop. Stay blessed and keep rising!
'Unparalleled excellence' lol...these mixers are awesome but that is just not true. There are half a dozen different mixers at least that are as good if not better (its highly subjective). Also there is no cue/mix blend on this which cannot be overlooked.
At last an efx unit what you can actually use as an instrument and work with the tracks you are playing in a more cohesive way. EFX use should be based on the DJ feeling the music and working with it more intimately. Also in my opinion, EFX usage should be akin to a movie soundtrack, You don't obviously notice it but it enhances the journey for the audience. This tool looks expressive and allows more freedom! On my shopping list along with a Radius for sure!
I have this setup in black - My first rotary Mixer. First impressions are amazing - it gave new life to my Yamahas HS5 + HS8. They sound fuller and cleaner comparing when used with Xone 96 or PX5. Although I can't forgive the different faceplate finish on effect unit & Radius2. I thought it is only visible in silver version but in. my black I can see that too.
had a question. Does the fx filter effect the whole mix or it depends upon the aux trim ? wanted to know whether the lpf be used as a per channel mixing tool
@@Medialook thank you..but only hpf which for some reason feels limiting. Currently I am using the FX unit with a pioneer djm and i can route both of the hpf and lpf of the fx unit back to the channel and it allows for greater flexibility

Why explain how that made sense in the design? Could we get a radius 4 with per channel line meters? And maybe per Chanel individual high pass Kbob and a low pass filter now that would be killer. hey Eric thanks for the mail. We can sure make a little video up for you to show you, if you can e mail leon@mastersounds.co.uk with your request we will see what we can do, lot's of DnB records here!
Hey there, FX works great with both units, with the aid of a pair of splitter leads. We have diagrams to do this and lot's of happy customers on both models :-)
Thanks for the message! Each of our mixers & FX Units is supplied with a compact external switch mode power supply, enabling use anywhere in the world with the correct IEC lead, which we supply for your country of residence. Touring DJs can use our mixers anywhere in the world, simply by changing the IEC lead relevant to the country the unit is shipped to. FX comes with a portable power supply with several types of plug configuration, enabling use anywhere in the world. LinearPOWER is our power accessory upgrade, which gives the ultimate in fidelity for our DJ mixers.
I can see on the video that some of the effects work with the channel aux send at zero. Is it just the HPF/LPF filter that works like this? How’s it working?! I know that I can just experiment when I get mine (I’m definitely getting one once funds allow), but an explanation would be cool
@djgorey thanks for the message, each of the 8 effects work via our send/return system, whilst our high pass, low pass and band pass filter and distortion works over the whole mix and is routed via our master mix buss. This means you can use FX and filter independently, or together! Here's a link to the manual: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1886/6073/files/MasterSounds_FX_manual_A5_AW_new_1.pdf?103
@@mastersoundsaudio1430 On a mix of tracks with channel 1 and channel 2, the filter section, with the aux sends, can send the effect, to the desired channel, or is configured, to work only in the general audio master ... thanks,
@@javierezquerro8998 Hey there thanks for the question. As the Filter section uses the insert function found on MasterSounds mixers, the entire mix is routed through it, meaning you can use the high pass, band pass, and low pass filters over the mix, and use the aux sends to control the 8 effects.
Amazing work as always guys :) quick question, what monitors would you recommend to fully appreciate the Radius? Looking to upgrade from my Rokit 5. Sorry if it's a little off topic, just thought it would help people like myself who are a bit undecided reg monitors. Keep up the brilliant work. Soon to be Radius 2 owner here 😁
Certainly will, it's a simple send from 96 to aux return on FX, then Insert from FX to master insert return on the 96, but the 96 has separate sockets for the insert send/return so a splitter lead will also be required.
@@andibritz Never did find out! ... i did pick up a Roland Boss Re-20 Space Echo second-hand though which does work perfectly well with the mixer. Only echo but loads of fun!
Hey Boris, each channel has a large ROTARY FADER for precision control of its level when mixing. The rotary ranges from fully off when anti-clockwise to unity gain (0dB) when clockwise. For best performance operate these controls near to their fully clockwise position for normal music level.
FX is designed to perfectly integrate with our DJ mixers which use our send/return plus master insert system. FX is also compatible with dj mixers with the same system, and some with dual sends. sadly your mixer isn't supported.
Hey Kevin, we don't have any auto BPM on FX, you can see on the top right of FX it shows the timing, this is a guide to where to place the dial in relation to the effect. The joy of this unit is that you have to learn it's groove, something we felt was lacking from modern day units. It puts you back in control of the grooove.
If you look closely you see the Radius 2 on the left and FX on the right. Radius 2 is our analogue desktop DJ mixer and FX is our effects unit. Head to the website www.mastersounds.co.uk for more information
@@mesmemo2373 if you look on the channel strip where it says HPF, the knob next to that is a beautifully natural high pass filter which we use instead of a traditional 3 or 4 band channel EQ.
