    Due to single Phase AC Supply only one Alternating field is developed in stator. As per DOUBLE REVOLVING THEORY The flux will divided in to Two field Forward rotating field and Reverse rotating field . These two fields are same magnitude and opposite direction, so it will cancel each other. No flux is passing through the air gap to the rotor conductor so that’s why we called single phase induction motor is not a self starting motor

    எனக்கு ஒரு சந்தேகம். அது என்னவென்றால்,stating coil-க்கு supply கொடுத்தால்தானே starting coil-லில் electric magnetic flux உருவாகி rotor-ஐ சுற்ற வைக்கும்.
