Thank you for not only an excellent video but giving us the torque specs that go along with the job. The proper torque is very important and about 99% of other contributors never mention torque.
    Thank you again!

Great video. I love how thorough you are! Most mechanics just slap stuff back together but you go the extra mile and clean and check everything. Thanks for that

I just did my 04 Denali rear brakes incl pads and calipers. I was having issues with my old calipers sticking. The new ones included the brackets which was nice, they had new guide pins etc.

Great video! When I attempted to replace my rear rotors the emergency break shoe was preventing me from sliding the rotor off.
Is there a way to loosen the emergency break with the rotor still on?

If you don't have that caliper closer tool can you just open the brake line, push back the caliper by hand, then fit over the rotor/pad assembly? Or is that tool absolutely necessary?

No easier don’t have the stabilizer pads and don’t have to take the caliper brackets to take off.

@@youcontrolfreakssuckit3784 I think the only reason he took bracket off was he also replaced the rotor! But I am pretty sure they use different pads.

Pro tip make sure your emergency brake is off….I wasted a lot of time thinking my rotor was seized.

what no TEE FIFTY FIVE bit? The rear uses normal bolts with actual measurements and the front use torqs bits. what the hell were they smoking when they designed this? Why arent they the same?? I would say Im never going to own a GM truck again, but it's all like this. Everything is like this to make it as difficult and frustrating as possible. it has to be, there is no other explanation to why they would make the rear and front brake hardware different. There is no reason to use torqs on ANYTHING EVER. they do that to make it harder.
