    Hi Shane, awesome video... On my end, I found that one reason to re-create the GUI would be an embedded Canvas app where users can create meeting/reminders for a particular record directly in Dynamics. Really cool!

    Hi Shane, Great video! This helped me so much. I actually got ALL this to work for an app that I am working on for users to make requests to be scheduled for an exam. An admin actually sets the exam appointment. Just one big problem. In my testing it works for me to schedule myself. Appointment added to my calendar, no problem. But when others (testing for me) request an appointment and the admin schedules them, emails and all work fine, but no appointment on the requester's calendar. No error or anything, just no appointment. Is this just a permissions issue? That is scheduling to my calendar, no problem but I don't have the permissions to put an appointment on their calendar? Emails and everything all working fine, just no appointment on their calendar.

    You might not use it, but I will😅
    This is nearly my use case. We have that one poor guy who has to set up the meetings with our board members and some other higher ups. There is a Standard text with some blanks to be filled. My Idea is to build an app where he picks alls these blank e.g. project name, Milestone, date, deadline for the documents and so on and the app fills the blanks. Plus of course alle the meeting details and attendees from a sharpoint list (still need to figure this one out).
    So thanks a lot for saving me a lot of time😁

    Hi Shane. I have developed a conference room scheduling application using the Office365Outlook data source and room resource mailboxes. I am able to delete an event via Power Apps, but what I really need to do is delete just the room resource from an event which is an invited attendee to the event. This allows the user to remove just the room from an existing calendar event they created in Outlook without removing the entire event, for instance if they are requested to use another room. Is this possible?

    I'd love to be able to create an app that can return calendars from a list that have availability within a user selected range. I've got several equipment calendars, and it'd be nice to have a way for users to book them and have their availability be easily displayed. They've got a great example of this for Room Calendars, but it doesn't work with equipment calendars; wondering if you had any advice or maybe give us a deeper dive into the outlook connector and scheduling/availability queries? That said, I'm observing an issue with the date format where, for example, a July 1st (07/01) date on the meeting invite comes through accurately for me, but my colleague in Europe sees it as a January 7th (01/07) meeting that he's suddenly 24 weeks late for. Any guidance you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Not sure if this has already been commented on, but even in v4CalendarPostItem, the start and end dates MUST be passed as US date format! Otherwise the action fails because it doesn't recognize the string, even when Now() is passed as the date! I only spotted this when I added this code to my app because today (17/11/2022) doesn't resolve as a US date, whereas a UK date like 10/11/2022 would work, but appear in the wrong place. I had to use the Day() Month() and Year() functions to convert my times into US format date. This is weird considering that ALL date values are stored as UTC!

    Hi Shane, Brilliant as always. I just ran into one problem as I am in Ireland the date picker sets the text as European format but when it goes to the calendar it is rejected because it returns error 400 String not recognised as a date, I presumed itwas looking for US formatted date. So I added a text format to sort this:
    Text(DateAdd(Now(),2880,Minutes),"mm/dd/yyyy"),
    Text(DateAdd(Now(),3000,Minutes),"mm/dd/yyyy")
    which powerapps changed to:
    Text(DateAdd(Now(),2880,Minutes),"[$-en-GB]mm/dd/yyyy"),
    Text(DateAdd(Now(),3000,Minutes),"[$-en-GB]mm/dd/yyyy")
    Now it works fine, but most of our users are in the US which breaks this. Would anyone know of an IF statement that would only change the format if Used in Europe and leave it as shanes formula if used in the US?

      Hi @@annadewitt3527, The following code is a slight change to Shanes Brilliant demo: This is the full code for the onSelect command of the button and includes other stuff like the subject but the main changes are the date format. For my example it records an expected due date and no time so it goes in as "isAllDAy:true" but I still needed the start and end date so I just used the same line twice with +"0000" and +"0001" (it won't work unless this is added).
      Office365Outlook.V4CalendarPostItem(

      "(UTC) Coordinated Universal Time",
      {isAllDay:true, isReminderOn:true,body: "The body of the message goes here ....."}

      I tried to playing around with setting times. The code below makes an entry from 10 to 11am. I'm sure this code is not the most efficient

    So if I am understanding this correctly, when you use UTC timezone, if someone opens that calendar invite, it's going to show the time in UTC, which will be confusing. Am I missing something? Is there really no way to just accept the date and time that is coming from sharepoint which is already converted based on timezone?
