I started with Opal too! A word of advice on gemology, if your sim is uncomfortable, they WILL botch their jewelry. I chose to invest in an outdoor trash can so that they have somewhere to throw away their dishes without stinking up the place!
I have started watching deligracys challenge and your channel just popped up…I am super excited to watch another RUclipsr play this!!!! Keep them coming 😊 Ps. I believe Deligracy mentioned she was going to upload the lot again with the items outside of the boxes. She also put fences around each section so the sims stopped using the others activities 😂
I don't know if I missed it but i don't know what her signature color is or her style? I'm impressed how quickly she got a home! Remember roofs are free so you can quickly give them "shelter" without spending money
I should have remembered about the free roofs! That would have been very helpful, haha. Her signature color is purple and her style is victorian/storybook. I'll try to remember to explain those with the other sims
Oh man! When she got struck by lightning it gave me flashbacks. I started this challenge and my sim (started out with Beatrice Jam) and she got stuck by lightning immediately starting the game and then again. She died within the first 3 minutes of me playing the save. 😂😂
Hi there! I'm new to the channel and I'm so excited to see this series. I've been watching Deligracy's but I need more ❤ I want to to try this in my own game.
Good work on this, to get the Gem table to register, put it in your inventory, it should register then, as getting one, to for fill her aspiration! Also Deli re-uploaded this lot to put fences around each Sims crafting things & to fix the box problem! ♥
Great to see another person’s take on this challenge. I’ve watched all Deligracy’s videos and decided to start my own version. Good to see different people try this challenge, gives me ideas and inspiration for my own gameplay. Thank you. Wish I had started with gemology, selling cooked goods is hard.
Congratulations on starting a new challenge! I’ve been following Deli on this one too, and I’m actually getting ready to start it myself. I love a good rags to riches! Your channel just popped up in my feed today. I like the decades challenge and actually watch Steph and Minnie on twitch do her decades, which of course she’s been doing them for years. So I’m going to subscribe to your channel and look forward to seeing more of your content! 💛💛💛
I'm doing this one too! I'm taking more of a family approach to it though and leaving aging on long lifespan. I think most of the skills provide enough income to get a house in a few sim weeks. Even elders should be able to do it. I'll probably buy potions of youth for the household I'm currently playing though if they're an elder. I'm using Deli's original sims since I'm more gameplay and build oriented.
Your channel came up when I heard there was this challenge. I do NOT watch Deligracy nor will I. I am happy other simmers will be doing this challenge. Video liked and I have subscribed!
I don't have the Gem Pack, but am starting this challenge as well, and replacing Opal Gem with a sim who specializes in wellness, to teach yoga classes. Funny, first milestone, struck by lightning. I am also starting in Spring, so we shall see how it goes. And wow, so quick in building that house.
Oh definitely! It's been a lot of fun. I know some other simmers are modifying the challenge to swap out skills from packs they don't have. Could be interesting to give it a go! Or just live vicariously through simmers posting on RUclips haha
@@simplelife3588 =) I'm uh.. 3 sims in now =p Handyman, Gem and Jam. I modified the rules for more chaos. Everytime I bring a new sim onboard, gotta add a lot challenge. I *have* for rent. but I'm not using it. that's too much lot challenge. =p I so enjoy your videos. keep it up!
If you are wondering about other challenges (Rags to Riches etc) they were all created by various simmers over the years and you will have to google the name of the challenge to find the rules etc. Some challenges have many versions so you can find one that you like.
Yes! Anyone can do the challenges. You can do a google search for different Sims 4 challenges. Deligracy created this one and recently added the rules to her website here: deligracy.com/post/the-sims-4-tiny-town-challenge
Thanks! My apartment window is right next to a very busy street in New York so there's always constant noise. I try my best to stay quiet when there's anything excessive so I can edit it out but I'm so used to it that sometimes I don't even know it's happening haha
I think you should have the characters sell the items to make money and not you selling from the inventory. It will make it more fun. Please do a character card explaining their color, craft, style, and etc.

Ohhh good call! I didn't even make a connection with that but it makes sense

Hahaha I saw that she did that!! I'll probably add some fences too 😂

Purple is her color, not sure about her house style.

I think it would be more fun to make your sims actually sell the items to make the money, and not you selling them directly from inventory

Hahaha!! Things just never go according to plan, do they? 😂

Glad to have you here! Seriously as soon as I saw her post about this challenge I knew I had to play it - it's so fun

Thank you! I think the table registered when I left the lot and then came back :)

Welcome to the channel! I'm new to true, start from $0 rags to riches so it was pretty excited/nerve wracking to start haha. But I'm loving it
Yay I'm so excited to watch you play this!!! I LOVE this challenge she made and can't wait to see you play it!!!
So glad to have you! It's been really fun so far
I thought that fire truck was outside my house! 😂
Haha nope! Just outside my noisy NYC window 😋
Lol I did too
You can use the marketplace tables to sell the items at a higher value :)
A valuable tip! Now that she has enough money to buy one, it's the way to go

Ooo that's really cute too!

I love that idea!! I wouldn't have thought to use that as an option for making money but that's perfect
This challenge would very interesting on a rental lot as a rotational play game too.
I agree, I think I'm going to switch it to a rental lot when we move on to the second sim.
It also means you don't have to keep track of how much money each sim is making.
You're so adorable! 🤭 I sooo can't wait to try this challenge myself!! Subscribed!🤍
Aww thank you 🥰 So glad to have you here
This looks like an interesting challenge. Will put it on my list to try when I get some more packs. 😊
Oh definitely! It's been a lot of fun. I know some other simmers are modifying the challenge to swap out skills from packs they don't have. Could be interesting to give it a go! Or just live vicariously through simmers posting on RUclips haha
Well done! I love this challenge
Hmmm. I think when I do this challenge, I'll stock the library with some skill books for rainy days. Thunderstorms. oof. Thanks for the video!
Oh I love that idea! Maybe Frank's contribution to the community center will be skill books for all the future residents

Have you thought of using a sales table to sell items on?
Yes! Will be doing that in the next episode :) Thanks
@17:30/17:31 someone farted or something lol I love how her gem tree that is gonna make some really good money!!!
I love the gem trees!! Much better than searching around trying to find them in the world
Great first episode! Subbing and looking forward to more videos. :D
So happy to have you here!
You can cell it from inventory by turning on multi selection and you can cell the capsule for 80
Good to know! Thanks
I know it’s too late but I ended up dragging the dirty dishes into the storage box that Deli included so she wouldn’t always have dirty surroundings!
Ugh that would have been so smart!!
WHERE are all these challenges at??? Can anyone do them???
Deligracy put this one up on her channel and on the gallery. Yes, anyone, even you, can do them
She posted a link to the original video. The original creator has a website to visit for the rules etc.

I think the name Salim (Saleeeem) is from southwestern Asia originally.
Thank you for that! I've already filmed the second episode and continued to call him "Salem" so I'll try to remember to correct that for episode three
New here…nice job ❤
Glad to have you here :)
24:56 What was with all the sirens? I hope all is well.

I agree! I'll definitely do the sales table in the next episode
