I would love a remake where she can keep the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms, but make sure all the bedrooms have windows. I also like the idea of keeping the rule of not adding walls, just keeping the rooms available but make them something else...
Yes! With a limited budget, like people do IRL. Maybe putting an arch where you can't tear down a wall, adding doors, changing the purpose of rooms, that type of stuff.
I feel like one of the biggest issues could be fixed by just adding a door from the living room to that little hallway that connects to the small bedroom in the center then knock down the little wall between the two hallways there. The navigation problem would basically be solved since those two hallways connect to nearly every bedroom.
You had finished roofing and said you wanted autumnal vibes. I turned away for one second... just one ...and I gasped at how cute you made the house. This IS the most cursed layout I've ever seen and I applaud 👏 your creativity despite its weirdness.
i completely understand your frustration with the terrain tool - on one hand, it takes forever, and on the other hand nothing seems to work the way we want👀
For the terrain tool -- raise the path, let it be lumpy --> keep the grid on, use flatten terrain to keep the closest tiles to the door flat --> just use the smooth terrain tool from the bottom of the slope, to the top, NOT touching the highlighted green tiles by the door. Then use the square brush to paint concrete for the driveway. TADA! Easy peasy
Despite how tragic the floor plan is, your build came out so lovely! ❤ Everything looks so warm and cozy, for some reason, it gives grandma village house vibes and I love it ❤
I am a Spanish teacher. Once I looked up a blue print so I could describe it to my students and they could draw it from my descriptions.... well, needless to say, I accidentally chose this floorplan without looking at it too hard. The kids were like "Wait... what?! You have to walk through the bathroom???" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 They thought they misunderstood me 😂😂😂
33:44 whenever I need a specific season for my build, I move a Sim into the house, change the season in live mode, and then build while in live mode, so I can see the season’s effects - like how autumn changes the trees and everything, i am not sure if this helps🍂
yess, I thought that's how it worked too! But when i went into buildmode (from the world mode??) It went back to the default summer weather😪 Idk if it's a bug or not, but i couldn't make it work :((
so you opened build mode while you were in playing mode with autumn active, and it didn’t work? 🤔 that’s weird, bc when I go to build mode through the world menu, it shows summer too yeah, but when I open the build mode through normal gameplay, it shows the season correctly 👀 (hahaha sorry there are too many „mode“ at once to descripe it easily)
I absolutely LOVE how your choice of color for furniture is never too matchy but all are somehow still very cohesive! Thats just shows how good of a taste and sense for decoration and design you have ✨✨✨

Idk how else to describe it, but it's like someone from a long time ago built a house themself without the proper tools, so everything is a little shabby. I have seen this floorplan before and much talk has been had around it. Most drafters and architects seem to agree that there was probably a door left out between the living room and the hallway next to the bathroom; me included ( I have been an AutoCAD drafter for over 20 years and this has been a talked about meme for almost as long) =) Is fun seeing you bring this to the Sims!!!

Get rid of the door that leads to the teen hall way, make it an arch way and then have an arch way in the livingroom that connects to the hallway and its a circle instead.
I'd like to talk with the person who came up with the idea of the walk-through bathroom, truly a bizarre concept 😂 imagine wanting to go from one room to another, but you can't, as someone is just taking a bath... And yeah, I probably wouldn't want to enter my living room straight from the outside, especially in like, bad cold weather. Aside from all of that, a very detailed build, and really cute exterior!

i do think its weird having to detour the house in order to get to the master...i lived in an apartment building that was renovated from a hospital: one apartment room we lived in had 1 room and to get to it was to walk through the ever so small kitchen....later we moved within the same building to an apartment that had 2 rooms while the master was only accessible through the only bathroom...between the living room and the dining/kitchen (kitchen and dining had a small wall separation that had kitchen counters lining it...still very small kitchen) had a small pillar and small wall that made it look like it was a small window...it was a weird set up that they had done to the renovated hospital

Yes! For some reason, I find ceiling lights so annoying, and a lot of them have terrible lighting too. I always think about putting up different ceiling lights when i'm done with the build, but then I ALWAYS forget! 😩
So, I went hunting this house down with interior pictures. That floor plan is missing a doorway in the living room. In the pictures, it shows a doorway leading to that little hallway where the bedroom doors lead to, so the floorplan was just drawn wrong LOL.

Get rid of the door that leads to the teen hall way, make it an arch way and then have an arch way in the livingroom that connects to the hallway and its a circle instead.
I'd like to talk with the person who came up with the idea of the walk-through bathroom, truly a bizarre concept 😂 imagine wanting to go from one room to another, but you can't, as someone is just taking a bath...
And yeah, I probably wouldn't want to enter my living room straight from the outside, especially in like, bad cold weather.
Aside from all of that, a very detailed build, and really cute exterior!

The house exterior kinda reminds me of the post office/station that’s in Valentine in RDR2, I wanna build a house like this but I’ve never built one before and it’s gonna be soo hard omg
I don’t understand why the drafter of the floorplan placed a bedroom in the middle without a window and did an hallway for the kitchen when it’s a quite big house 😂

i do think its weird having to detour the house in order to get to the master...i lived in an apartment building that was renovated from a hospital: one apartment room we lived in had 1 room and to get to it was to walk through the ever so small kitchen....later we moved within the same building to an apartment that had 2 rooms while the master was only accessible through the only bathroom...between the living room and the dining/kitchen (kitchen and dining had a small wall separation that had kitchen counters lining it...still very small kitchen) had a small pillar and small wall that made it look like it was a small window...it was a weird set up that they had done to the renovated hospital

Yes! For some reason, I find ceiling lights so annoying, and a lot of them have terrible lighting too. I always think about putting up different ceiling lights when i'm done with the build, but then I ALWAYS forget! 😩

Beautiful job on making an atrocious floorplan look presentable. I'd be very claustrophobic in those tiny hallways though.
So, I went hunting this house down with interior pictures. That floor plan is missing a doorway in the living room. In the pictures, it shows a doorway leading to that little hallway where the bedroom doors lead to, so the floorplan was just drawn wrong LOL.
The exterior is so insanely beautiful
Oh I’m sad you changed the floor plannn! At 1:41 it was perfect, you just needed to like the living room up with the bedroom and then add the dining room
