This QTE makes me look at supreme differently now. Don't know why it wasn't part of the final production, would've made the fight so much better. Hope they finish it in the upcoming updates.
@@LightLemon. dude it was obvious that Sega rushed Sonic team hell originally Sega planned on releasing Frontiers in 2021 but Kishimoto fought back for time. Also I do have or source just have to find it again. Here it is: "Sonic Team has confirmed what many fans had suspected: the latter parts of Sonic Frontiers were rushed to meet the release date. According to a Q&A with the dev team, earlier parts of the game took so long to develop that it left little time to perfect the ending, and particularly the final boss."
The unused QTE gives Supreme more personality and makes Supreme feel way more powerful, the laser from the drones just knock you back even when you try to resist them , implying that said lasers are of the same level of Giganto power if not more , also when you dodge the shots from the sniper rifle and you get close Supreme evades you with quick movements and JUMPS to avoid you , the fact that despite being huge is still agile enough to evade you gives the feel of facing an way stronger foe than the previous bosses , and finally , attacking even thought you cycloop it makes it feel even more powerful. Overall the unused QTEs makes Supreme feel well , *Supreme* , the body of Giganto , the flying of Wyvern and the skill to use weapons of Knight, it makes you feel that it is indeed the stronger of the Titans and the pinnacle of the technology that made them work . I hope these QTE (and perhaps more) gets added in one of the updates
The way Supreme zips around faster than even Knight really shows just how incredibly strong yet fast he’s really built to be And thanks to this new QTE, I’m even more convinced that I’m Here suits Supreme, instead of him having another Kellin Quinn song
The only thing that would make this mod better is if they somehow managed to mod it to keep the purple wings in the actual fight after they appeared in the cutscene. Wings would help explain its agility and Giant leaps when dodging.
Kishimoto said it was heavily unfinished and had to scrap, it looks good in our eyes but there were possibly so much left for supreme that didn't get finished. The End got the worse treatment though, it didn't even get a proper boss.

What if Sonic had a special QTE for this boss battle specifically, called a Parry Blast (or something) where Supreme and its drones surround Sonic with a barrage of blasts and shots that could ultimately end him, even as Super Sonic, and he's able to charge up by first holding the parry buttons and then button mashing the attack button to unleash what seems like a Chaos Blast, but instead it is energy shielding Sonic and reflecting all the shots to the senders, destroying all the drones and leaving Supreme a bit vulnerable where sonic can seize the opportunity to get a few licks in.
1 thing I really like in Sonic Unleashed is the boss QTE, it's challenging and have to focus while Frontiers have only the x button. I hope Sonic Team update the boss fight as they original intends in one of the free dlc update at some point. I also hope they added something like 'new game+' and 'super hard mode', so that we can fight the boss with all abilities and not melted easily by lv99 sonic.
The unused QTE is so goddamn cool. It makes Supreme look so awesome, agile, powerful, and overall a much more difficult enemy than the previous Titans. It is very strange that this somehow didn't make it into the final game. Maybe it was to do with difficulty, since it's quite a few fast QTEs in a row. But if so, that's a pretty dumb reason. Supreme was a disappointment of a fight but even having this 1 QTE would have made it so much cooler in itself lol
I think it was a time thing, these QTEs are clearly not finished and the later half of the game had to be rushed, so I think they just didn't have the time.

In the final game though it was cut down to just the very first part, of Sonic dodging one shot and returning to the fight. They scaled it down hard for no reason it seems to me

I want to know, will these black bullets kill super sonic right away, or how will the yellow ones just throw it away? I want them to be so powerful, since he dodges them, and show that supreme can also be strong to immediately kill the super sonic.
While the unused QTE's help a little bit in adding more character to Supreme I still think it suffers the same problem: the fight is boring. To fix this fight imo, you need to redesign this whole fight. They don't make the joke "it's just white giganto or giganto 2.0" just because of his appearance it's also because it so much copy and pasted from giganto with none of his own flare. My proposal to fix this fight would this: A new climbing phase (before Super Sonic) Supreme will fire lasers at you to try and shake you off while ascending his body, when you get on Supreme will use his jetpack to shake sonic and you will need to carefully route yourself to his head. Phase 1: On the ground just the original: Supreme will quickly move around the player firing volleys of sniper shots at the player (similarly to how the unused QTE's are except in game). Every once in a while Supreme will fire up his jetpack and dash towards Super Sonic and this attack can be parried for a grand slam counter (something unique to Supreme ideally). Phase 2: Supreme takes to the skies except he flies around Ouranos Island just like you do with the fight with Wyvern. This will play similarly to Wyvern as well, where you need to chase Supreme down. While he fires missiles from his jetpack and also fire more sniper shots that you actually can't parry. You will need to parry to missiles as he will block the first to catch him or you can avoid his attacks and you will gradually catch him. Supreme will try to attack you and you can parry it once again for a new counter. Phase 3 (Final Phase) Oh yeah I'm really changing this I wasn't kidding. In this final phase It will start by Supreme flying up to Super Sonic and throwing him to to the clouds (meant to show Supreme can match and compete with SS) "I'm here's Vocals kick in" and the final phase will play similarly to Knights boss fight where Supreme will hide in the clouds and try and shoot you. The color of the clouds (red for a shot blue for a dash) will tell you if it's a shot coming or Supreme doing another dash attack. Parry the dash or just attack him during the dash to open him for attack and the fight is yours for the taking And i think this idea of combing the best parts of Giganto, Wyvern and Knight is what they wanted to do but just ran out of money and time. Here's hoping the DLC or modders will come through for us.

I can see you also decreased atacks damage. Everything but the basic combo seems to be doing half of the minimum damage. I can respect that, a little bit of balancing
This unused animation really highlights the fact that this titan can be faster than Super Sonic (becuase you can't even react after destroying one of his devices) with those dodges and high movility he has, I hope the dev focuses on that fact when polishing Supreme's fight as he said he would in an update 👍
I don't think Supreme is faster than Super Sonic, the fact that you can't react after parrying is probably either since Sonic isn't expecting it, or can't react that fast (it happening more than once is def just gameplay reasons), dodging something doesn't require you to be faster than it, you can actually dodge stuff significantly faster than you depending on the distance, and whether or not you can anticipate it. Especially since Sonic (both base form and super state) are a LOT slower in gameplay so the player can actually handle it.

@@sakuradabp6400 I already said that you can dodge something that is faster than you depending on the distance and whether or not you anticipate the attack. Parrying has nothing to do with movement speed, it is more agility, and even then Super Sonic could just be in a position where he's not ready to parry. And of course, the third point you completely disregarded, both Base Sonic and Super Sonic are *MUCH* slower in gameplay than in canon, so that the player can keep up with what's happening.

Still wondering why there’s no QTE where Sonic blocks and kicks back the bullet fired at him. Seems like it would fit the design direction of the other bosses.
Whether the devs actually do fix the fight like people hope or just fans do it themselves, I really hope we get an overhauled version of this fight that makes it as grandiose as it should be.
Vanilla Supreme was already my 2nd favorite Titan boss in the game, but this makes it even better! I'm also gonna say it right now, The End is my favorite of the 5 main bosses and Chaos Island is my second-favorite level. Fight me.
I’m not sure why, but the images from 5:20 to 5:25 give me a strange feeling of sadness…even loneliness. Like it’s just standing there all alone, with no one to talk to, or call as a friend.
I have a neat idea for giganto so when giganto shoots the laser out of his mouth there should be a QTE where if u do the QTE u parry the laser and it deflects and damages giganto while if u don't do the QTE u just normally repeatedly keep pressing x to block it reply to me and heart or like if u think my idea is neat

Now this is how the Supreme battle should be. If Sage were to make Supreme attack Sonic then it would be ultra badass like this. The End did Supreme real dirty.
That unused QTE is a MUST for future updates, it gives the fight much more personality and better use of the rifle other than "one shot QTE that happens so fast it's anticlimatic af". Srsly, the rifle is was underutilized that barely justifies it inclusion. Hell, it could've been used as a back cannon just like Sage does against The End.
From the other clip I saw I thought that animation initially played after you get shot back by the two big cannons. It would make sense for them to remove it then because it defeats the purpose of destroying the smaller cannons. But from this video it seems to be an alternative for the sniper animation at the end. I don't know why they changed it, this is so much cooler than what we got. Yeah it's a bit weird how it just slides through the trees, but there are ways they could've gotten around that.
I felt like something was missing with the in-game QTE. Sonic just dodges one blast from Supreme and he's suddenly in his face. The cut version actually shows him get there with a few extra dodges, but it still feels underwhelming since there isn't a cool finisher for the QTE like the previous bosses.
Something i didn't understand was when i got close and started wailing on him. He would go for the attack and i would parry it. Only for there to be a cutscene of sonic getting yeeted by a laser and there was nothingi could do to avoid avoid said attack. Was i doing something wrong?
That QTE should have been in there. Definitely makes the massive rifle matter. Otherwise it’s 1 shot that Sonic dodges so fast you can’t even see it go by.
this might piss off alot of people, but.. i actually like supreme‘s boss fight as a whole. its more of a nice change-of-pace from just hoping for the best from giganto- like it‘s a harder modified-version of the 1st boss. you expect it to be the same as when you fought giganto, but you have to do certain things to make the fight more easier. aka, use the 2% braincells you‘ve lost during the entire hype of the game lol
I feel like to make this fight longer all the qtes should be added plus I feel the drones and laser things should act as Forcefield generators ie he has a Forcefield unless you destroy the drones also add his laser wings to when you’re fighting as sonic cus those are cool as hell
I think you miss one unused QTE. Remember when supreme knocked sonic a bit far and shoot the sniper but sonic just dodged it? In this QTE supreme shoot it a couple of times
All I did to activate the unused QTE was using a code with the Hedgemod manager, I didn't mod anything myself, it was left in the game's file. If someone would be to add the wings back it would take more work to make it function than just "datamining"
If they get it back into the game maybe it's best to slow it down a bit, in the last of the qte's he goes up in the air and shoots you, Sonic dodges it but it's so fast that it just seems like Sonic avoided being crushed by him

Yeah, it's due to those animations being unpolished due to time constraints so hopefully when they make it into the game they will be a lot more polished.

The absolute beast of Supreme’s rifle is shown full force when you rapid fire that thing into the End

I can see you also decreased atacks damage. Everything but the basic combo seems to be doing half of the minimum damage. I can respect that, a little bit of balancing
This unused animation really highlights the fact that this titan can be faster than Super Sonic (becuase you can't even react after destroying one of his devices) with those dodges and high movility he has, I hope the dev focuses on that fact when polishing Supreme's fight as he said he would in an update 👍
I don't think Supreme is faster than Super Sonic, the fact that you can't react after parrying is probably either since Sonic isn't expecting it, or can't react that fast (it happening more than once is def just gameplay reasons), dodging something doesn't require you to be faster than it, you can actually dodge stuff significantly faster than you depending on the distance, and whether or not you can anticipate it.
Especially since Sonic (both base form and super state) are a LOT slower in gameplay so the player can actually handle it.

I already said that you can dodge something that is faster than you depending on the distance and whether or not you anticipate the attack.
Parrying has nothing to do with movement speed, it is more agility, and even then Super Sonic could just be in a position where he's not ready to parry.
And of course, the third point you completely disregarded, both Base Sonic and Super Sonic are *MUCH* slower in gameplay than in canon, so that the player can keep up with what's happening.

Actually, I'm pretty sure flying around the island during the Wyvern fight is already faster than Supreme's dodge.
@@sonicdml4175 Because he is designed to be like that, ask him to turn around at the same speed that he is going, but Supreme just dodges twice with such an agility that matches Super Sonic

Still wondering why there’s no QTE where Sonic blocks and kicks back the bullet fired at him. Seems like it would fit the design direction of the other bosses.
Whether the devs actually do fix the fight like people hope or just fans do it themselves, I really hope we get an overhauled version of this fight that makes it as grandiose as it should be.

You need to download the "Hedgemod manager", then go in the "Codes" tab and in the "Gameplay" section you need to tick the right box.

Vanilla Supreme was already my 2nd favorite Titan boss in the game, but this makes it even better!
I'm also gonna say it right now, The End is my favorite of the 5 main bosses and Chaos Island is my second-favorite level. Fight me.

I have a neat idea for giganto so when giganto shoots the laser out of his mouth there should be a QTE where if u do the QTE u parry the laser and it deflects and damages giganto while if u don't do the QTE u just normally repeatedly keep pressing x to block it reply to me and heart or like if u think my idea is neat

Now this is how the Supreme battle should be. If Sage were to make Supreme attack Sonic then it would be ultra badass like this. The End did Supreme real dirty.
That unused QTE is a MUST for future updates, it gives the fight much more personality and better use of the rifle other than "one shot QTE that happens so fast it's anticlimatic af".
Srsly, the rifle is was underutilized that barely justifies it inclusion. Hell, it could've been used as a back cannon just like Sage does against The End.

There were others but they are very bugged and not accessible in the Hedgemod manager

From the other clip I saw I thought that animation initially played after you get shot back by the two big cannons. It would make sense for them to remove it then because it defeats the purpose of destroying the smaller cannons. But from this video it seems to be an alternative for the sniper animation at the end. I don't know why they changed it, this is so much cooler than what we got. Yeah it's a bit weird how it just slides through the trees, but there are ways they could've gotten around that.

I think the gun canon qte is missing here.
I felt like something was missing with the in-game QTE. Sonic just dodges one blast from Supreme and he's suddenly in his face. The cut version actually shows him get there with a few extra dodges, but it still feels underwhelming since there isn't a cool finisher for the QTE like the previous bosses.
Was supreme given more health?
He was unchaged but played with level 1 stats to make the fight longer and showcase as many things as I can in one fight.

Something i didn't understand was when i got close and started wailing on him. He would go for the attack and i would parry it. Only for there to be a cutscene of sonic getting yeeted by a laser and there was nothingi could do to avoid avoid said attack. Was i doing something wrong?
You are supposed to attack the little drones surrounding him like I do in the video.

That QTE should have been in there. Definitely makes the massive rifle matter. Otherwise it’s 1 shot that Sonic dodges so fast you can’t even see it go by.
Since this is the only titan we can fight over and over again we might see it change with the updates
By the way, the buffed titans mod still works with the QTE, no issues there.

this might piss off alot of people, but.. i actually like supreme‘s boss fight as a whole.
its more of a nice change-of-pace from just hoping for the best from giganto- like it‘s a harder modified-version of the 1st boss. you expect it to be the same as when you fought giganto, but you have to do certain things to make the fight more easier.

All I did to activate the unused QTE was using a code with the Hedgemod manager, I didn't mod anything myself, it was left in the game's file.
If someone would be to add the wings back it would take more work to make it function than just "datamining"

If they get it back into the game maybe it's best to slow it down a bit, in the last of the qte's he goes up in the air and shoots you, Sonic dodges it but it's so fast that it just seems like Sonic avoided being crushed by him
Honestly yeah, it's the same problem as the vanilla QTE. It's way too fast for us to really get what is happening the first time we watch it.

The videos without the HUD were all at level 1 except for the new version of supreme from the 3rd DLC, which was at max stats.

Ik it's scrapped content so ofc it won't look like the final product, but it still looks so out of place.
Yeah, it's due to those animations being unpolished due to time constraints so hopefully when they make it into the game they will be a lot more polished.
