Motorola really needs to push the market of their accessories. I bought two Edge 30 Ultra phones several months ago but it’s just yesterday I was able to find compatible curved tempered glasses to get fitted on them from a local shop. And the availability of good back covers online is just a joke. I requested that local shopkeeper to find a good pair of back covers for mine. And the most hilarious thing is I am using flip covers for these curved display phones from the beginning. Yes, flip covers are best for protection but hides all its looks.
I'm reaching out with a request to establish contact with Motorola regarding their software update practices. It's been a year, and I'm yet to see the Android 13 update arrive on my Moto G52. Additionally, security patch releases seem to consistently lag behind. If there's an improvement in the frequency of these updates, Motorola could establish itself as the foremost choice for users seeking a stock Android-like experience, rivaling even Google Pixel devices

The only problem with Motorola is the software updates. Not only OS updates arrive very late but they are only providing 1 OS update to G series which is ridiculous. Even the edge 40 neo should have been promised 3 OS updates. That being said regarding security patches I have G73 and I am getting monthly security updates. Seems like for devices launched in 2023 security patches delivery is good.
UV Tempered glass for curved displays is now getting popular enough that it's common place in local stores. I recently had the same installed on my OnePlus 7 pro for like 299 Rs. Guess phones launching under the 25k bracket with curved screen just forced the accessories market to evolve.

No suitable response from Moto. He couldnt find service centre. Careful of buying moto.

After one year, the 3rd party repair shops are the most affordable option. In my area i have seen many ditching moto or going for other brand because of this reason.

Hi TechWiser, 1. Can you please comment on readability in dark? the question is because my current moto is extremely bright in dark even after turning the brightness to zero. But thats not the case with my Samsung. Samsung goes almost dark when you turn brightness to zero which good for low light usages. 2. In general, reviewers are not bothered to review what makes this phone standout from the other which has same 'configuration'. In most of the cases, the differenciation is mainly in features, for example, as the one i mentioned in point 1. Thanks!

DON'T BUY MOTO ! I own a Moto Edge 30 which came out last year. The phone was working great until I applied Android 13 update. Since then the space used by System files has gone crazy, it increases by 1-2 GB everyday. Right now, System is taking 78 GB (!) out of 128. The only temporary solution is to reset the phone which I've already done once. Many people are facing the same issue and when we raised it to the Moto team, they just say that they're working on it. It's been more than 3 months and still there is no update to fix it. So yeah, while the specs of Moto phones are great but the software support is terrible.
Technically yes, but my Oppo Reno 10 pro also have a curved display and there are UV curved glass protector available, if you got it for the phone. I used to have the moto edge 20 fusion and I still don't like it very much in software updates.
Motorola used to have good camera processing back in the day of original Moto G series. Motorola should work on this and software updates because only these two things are keeping them from generating a lot of sales. I hope they do sooner.

Its been more than 60 days since the green line issue started on my Motorola Moto G52. What started with 1 green line is now 15 green lines. It happened 4 days after installing July 2023 security patch update. Device is out of warranty but has no physical / liquid damage. Even many service centers are still rejecting free display replacement and charging exorbitant amount of money for green line affected devices. Waiting for an official statement from Motorola company. Motorola not offering any solution, update fix or exchange offers for customers. Expecting help ASAP from Motorola.

Make a video on 5g network in Motorola phones. I have edge 20 pro facing alot of network issues like it always switch to 4g while calling or receiving any call. Also most of the time when someone tries to call they heard i am busy on another call but i was not on any call. So try to test this with other 5g phones too.

Buy a Motorola and forget about getting any future Android updates. Don't buy Motorola. I have used so many Motorola devices and they are stuck on the Android versions which came when device was purchased.
I don't know how they'll be managing on all the update commitments. For instance, I have a G32 it is to receive just one software update(fine by me) but, the interesting bit is that I haven't received it till date. So, what's the point of getting A13 when, lets say A14 or A15 is already in the market.

Hi team. I really would like your inputs on the below query. I am in a dilemma of whether to buy the edge 40 neo or the edge 40. My basic concerns are two things 1. Are mediatek chips good for call connectivity? I was a moto user and then wanted to try the Micromax In 1B and I am very unhappy with the call connectivity and proximity issues (ppl cannot here me speak if I use the phone on my left ear 😅😅 and when on calls the torch just turns on, the screen does not work etc.). I dono if this is because of the sensors ot if it's the chip itself. 2. Will the edge 40's 4400 battery past for more than a day in the long run (say for the next 3-4 yrs). I usually don't change phones often, unless they break or become toooo slow. I try to use a phone for atleast 4 yrs. And investing close to 30k, means more expectations. Question-2 is why I am primarily looking at the edge 40 neo. And if you give me a negative answer for Q1 I would really appreciate if you can give any other alternatives. My choice for moto phones is primarily because of the software. I absolutely hate bloat and unnecessary aps. So if possible please suggest an alternative which is in the same price tag and has the same clean OS experience. Many thanks in advance. Love the review videos. Always enjoy them. Another mobile in this segment is Iqoo z7 pro they may have a little bloatwares but they are really good phones. Please make a complete review on this device (edge 40 neo), want to gift this to my mother, her usage is mostly social media, RUclips and calling. So call quality and clarity is an important factor, not sure if the curved display thing is gonna be a problem, please do a stress test too if possible, like how durable is the device, she keeps phone in her purse while going out so is it prone to scratches?

I own a Moto Edge 30 which came out last year. The phone was working great until I applied Android 13 update. Since then the space used by System files has gone crazy, it increases by 1-2 GB everyday. Right now, System is taking 78 GB (!) out of 128. The only temporary solution is to reset the phone which I've already done once. Many people are facing the same issue and when we raised it to the Moto team, they just say that they're working on it. It's been more than 3 months and still there is no update to fix it.
So yeah, while the specs of Moto phones are great but the software support is terrible.
Is it the only issue any display issue or let's say camera degrade slowness gittering or laggy ui basic features not working anything?

Technically yes, but my Oppo Reno 10 pro also have a curved display and there are UV curved glass protector available, if you got it for the phone. I used to have the moto edge 20 fusion and I still don't like it very much in software updates.

Motorola used to have good camera processing back in the day of original Moto G series. Motorola should work on this and software updates because only these two things are keeping them from generating a lot of sales. I hope they do sooner.
Better if they equip Sony sensors. and increase their software team to roll out quick and reliable updates

There is no option to turn off screenshot capture sound in Moto.
Moto also misses option to display Internet speed in notification banner. So using another app for it.
Also the after sales service is too bad at service centres .
I miss battery is low feature and net speed otherwise it's complete 😌😌

Its been more than 60 days since the green line issue started on my Motorola Moto G52. What started with 1 green line is now 15 green lines. It happened 4 days after installing July 2023 security patch update. Device is out of warranty but has no physical / liquid damage. Even many service centers are still rejecting free display replacement and charging exorbitant amount of money for green line affected devices. Waiting for an official statement from Motorola company. Motorola not offering any solution, update fix or exchange offers for customers. Expecting help ASAP from Motorola.

As far as I know, yes Edge 40 neo will support Gcam as Camera2API functionality is enabled in this device which is responsible for Gcam compatibility.

Make a video on 5g network in Motorola phones. I have edge 20 pro facing alot of network issues like it always switch to 4g while calling or receiving any call. Also most of the time when someone tries to call they heard i am busy on another call but i was not on any call. So try to test this with other 5g phones too.

Buy a Motorola and forget about getting any future Android updates. Don't buy Motorola. I have used so many Motorola devices and they are stuck on the Android versions which came when device was purchased.

I don't know how they'll be managing on all the update commitments. For instance, I have a G32 it is to receive just one software update(fine by me) but, the interesting bit is that I haven't received it till date. So, what's the point of getting A13 when, lets say A14 or A15 is already in the market.

Hi team. I really would like your inputs on the below query.
I am in a dilemma of whether to buy the edge 40 neo or the edge 40. My basic concerns are two things
1. Are mediatek chips good for call connectivity? I was a moto user and then wanted to try the Micromax In 1B and I am very unhappy with the call connectivity and proximity issues (ppl cannot here me speak if I use the phone on my left ear 😅😅 and when on calls the torch just turns on, the screen does not work etc.). I dono if this is because of the sensors ot if it's the chip itself.
2. Will the edge 40's 4400 battery past for more than a day in the long run (say for the next 3-4 yrs). I usually don't change phones often, unless they break or become toooo slow. I try to use a phone for atleast 4 yrs. And investing close to 30k, means more expectations.
Question-2 is why I am primarily looking at the edge 40 neo. And if you give me a negative answer for Q1 I would really appreciate if you can give any other alternatives.
My choice for moto phones is primarily because of the software. I absolutely hate bloat and unnecessary aps. So if possible please suggest an alternative which is in the same price tag and has the same clean OS experience.

Another mobile in this segment is Iqoo z7 pro they may have a little bloatwares but they are really good phones. I am confused in between these two mostly because my mother would be using the phone and she is not really good with keeping the phone safe and since this is an edge phone I am skeptical.

It seems like every manufacturer is going for mediatek and the line up has changed. There was dimensity 700,800,900 series and now its 6000,7000,8000,9000. Where's the snapdragon counterpart? Why nobody is doing snapdragon phones? The snapdragon lineup is stuck at 695 and 778g ... If delaying is due to making it perfect then it is fine. Or are they hiking the price and manufactures opting for dimensity?
