We breed our own feeders and are saving thousands of dollars a year. As well, we have insects available during the hottest summer months and the coldest winter months.
Join us as we take a tour of our BUG ROOM and Nanette & I share many invaluable tips on keeping mealworms, crickets, and especially dubias.
There is a TON of information in this video and if you have questions, please leave a comment so I can answer them.

Nanette fan club! ❤
Awwwwwwww
Excellent Video I’d love to see more of the firebrats they’re a very uncommon feeder in the US and we need more of them!
Great call. Maybe next video. Thanks
Agree!
It’s Nanette this has got to be good
Yup, it is. She carries this business!
Hello great video information Wally and Nanette
Thank you Moon. We hope you enjoyed it.
Can I hire Nanette for roach breeding😂😂😂 idk how you stayed in there so long wally! After 2 minutes I'd be itching, breaking out in hives and grabbing breathing treatments
At the end, I was breathing so heavy... and not just for Nanette's sake ;)
Nanette makes it look so easy. When I watch her, I think I can do that....but idk 🤔
You CAN!!!!
This is a video I NEED to watch. As soon as I'm done with my husband chores 😅
That's funny!
Nannette putting in work!
Every single day!!!
Wally, get a respirator and some gloves that go to the shoulder. I'm severely allergic to bloodworms and I use thick nitrile gloves to feed my newts. I use a respirator to clean and feed my Degus hay too.
I cannot imagine a suit like that! Something like the radioactive suit Marty McFly wore? :) I have a respirator but never use it because it limits my breathing. And, it's hard to do videos wearing a 'space suit' :) I have a small mask that works 100%. As for gloves, my hands are not affected, just my breathing. But THANK YOU very much.
I have not had luck with feeder bug’s except mealworms
Why not?
Great video guys. Would love to see how you clean and separate your roaches.
We have one from a few years ago but it is probably time to do a new one. I THOUGHT about recording last weekend but never broke out the equipment... just wanted to get it done. Unfortunately, now we are a couple months away from another feeding.
Thank you Nanette and Wally. The bug raising save you tons of money.
It really does.
I like this format.
Thank you
I'm concerned about not getting feeders this winter here. I've got to start something now 😮

Solid video 👍👍
Thank you. Hope it helped.
Another great video Wally, and Annette!!!! Annette you are quite efficient! I am quite impressed. We look forward to trying out the isopod shell and also the feeder insect chow quite badly. As well, I was gonna order some dwarf whites before I met you all from a different person but since you all have them……THE MORE YOU KNOW🌈
*Nanette. 😊👍
Thank you very much!!!
No worries. My father called her Net all the time :)
@@SupremeGecko LOL 😆 I was using talk to text which bites!!! But it does sound like you call her Annette. If she’s fond of it, I’d like to call her Netty! I think that’s such a pretty nickname for her❣️🫶🏻 we love you guys over here at Tasa terrariums!!!!
@@sarahsunshine8455 Of course! She will get a kick out of that.
Nanette is using new " shaker " container too 😍
Yup
Get er done
Had to :)
@@SupremeGecko right
Love all the efficiency Nanette and Wally great job asking questions
Thank you. I thought this would be a fun way to do a video.
@@SupremeGecko I love seeing Nanette in action she's amazing
@@emilywilson3963 She has this process DOWN!!
@@SupremeGecko yes she really does!!!
Another amazing video!!!!
Thank you Emily
@@SupremeGecko you are so welcome
great video as always, Thanks! Can you please post a link for the water crystals? I have always used veggies.
I just posted in the description. Thanks.
So who started the reptile and bug hobby you or Nanette or both of you together?
I did. About 20 some years ago.
That's a lot of bugs. I wish we could breed, but I'm just too darn lazy.
So am I. Luckily the bugs breed on their own ;)
I just fed ours as well 😂😂
Nice! How many are you working with.
Awesome video. Question where can you get the water crystals and how long do they last for?
I added a link to the description. In a container, they will last months!
I’m looking for saurodactylus brosseti. Josh’s frog no longer have them in stock 😢.
I have 2 pair and fingers crossed.
@@SupremeGecko 🤞🏼I will buy them in a heartbeat if you ever have some available
@@Scale575 :) make sure you add to our Wish List (FB - Supreme Gecko)
Do u sell palmetto bugs
No we don't. What do you use palmetto bugs for- rather than another type?
I am allergic to cockroaches as well Wally
Me too 😢, but using mask when dealing with Dubias
Funny, I used a mask and worked 8 hours a week ago cleaning and sifting. no issues. This 20 minutes had me out for hours afterward because I did not wear a mask.
Masks = MUST!
@@SupremeGecko oh no that's no good you had such a hard time
@@SupremeGecko even masked up I break out in hives and can't breathe well
She's fast
Isn't it fun to watch!
Takes me back when Mari was breeding bearded dragons we had around 15 tubs
@@commercialelectrician133 That's a lot! How did you find the separation process? What worked best for you?
Five gallon bucket drilled different size holes on them and just let them find their way on their own no need to shake them
@@commercialelectrician133 Same here!! Thanks
Why don’t y’all breed mealworms in mass
Too much time and effort. They are far cheaper than the time it would take to work with. I want to focus more on the animals.
How do you sort them all? The Babies are so tiny can't imagine catching them all by hand. What's your secret????🪳🪳
OMG no!! I cannot imagine either. We have a video on this but maybe next harvest, I will update it.
