Factory manufacturers do quality check on finished products. Those shoes that doesn't pass are pulled out, those who passed goes to the company for consumer purchases. Now, what happens to the pulled out products? Can we still call them original? Yes. Those pulled out products are made from the same factory, the same materials the difference is just it has a slight defect (unpolished soles, rough leather texture, faded color, unpolished stitches - these are the basic defects manufacturers face) and what happens to these products? Do they throw these away, when they spent money in producing them? No. They sell the products on a much more lower price and those shoes are what we call EOM people.

Hi i just want to ask because a known instagram shoe seller sent me their info abt the shoes they sell, they sent me this:
All stocks are unauthorized authentic sneakers. Not class A. Not OEM.
What are unreleased sneakers or unauthorized authentic sneakers?
For example, nike assigns a factory to create 10,000 pairs of shoes. The factory will create an extra 5,000 pairs to replace the ones that do not pass the standards of the managers. That ones that do not pass the standards are left in the factory and the factory sells it to resellers or whoever wants it. Basically made in the same factory. By the same workers. Using the same materials.
What you have mentioned referred to the said unauthorized authentic sneakers but they said its not OEM?

Actually, Not all the things you said were true. Oem stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer, This actually means you can call this "oem" shoes somehow original. These are like mall pullouts where Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Under Armour outlet stores are overstocked, they now sell these shoes for a bundle and resellers call the OEM because they were from Original Manufacturers which then were denied by Shoe Outlets. You can call them 50/50. They're worth it, I tell you that. I bought like 5 "OEM" shoes but they lasted for atleast 4 years and counting now.

There's no such thing as word OEM in legit manufacturer brands. Reseller used that word to hide them from classification of fake

knowing the condition of weather and ground surface here in the philippines, you can barely notice the difference in quality and durability of oem vs original, it is very hard to compare especially when you use it outdoors, you would surely regret buying expensive original items when playing and running or jogging in the asphalt or cement.

Definitely not, you'll see the comfort on original shoes when you wore it hard. Tried to buy some OEM and test it with the same socks. so I know the comfortability is superior in the original when longer and rougher used.

10 out of my 25 pairs of sneakers are OEM. (e.g Yeezys and Air Forces) and nobody noticed it. My friends were shocked when they found out that i’m using OEM. We even compared his original Yeezys to mine and it looks really identical.
I will not spend tons of money to experience expensive shoes. But I don’t encourage everyone to buy a fake one.

Peru kung pang impression lng nmn, I think ok lng nmn siguro bumili ng OEM shoes since OEM nowadays are aesthetically similar to those original ones. Lalu na kung 4k ang difference ng pricing from orig to oem.
Sa opinyon ko lng, lahat ng shoes hndi ginawa sa Brand's official factory can be considered copies. Dito sa PH all shoes are made from neighbouring countries which are contractors for the brands.

    Hi Guys it’s August 29,2021..
Correct me if I’m wrong about ORIGINAL AND OEM.. for me ang Original shoes ay perfect na gawa ng factory tama ang bawat details ng sapatos. Make sense? OEM for me ay factory defect pero pwde din siyang gamitin pero hindi ganun ka good ang performance niya sa ORIGINAL.. but both same naman. So that’s why they called OEM like ORIGINAL Kasi nga iisang factory lang ang pinanggalingan kaso nga lang anf OEM hindi pasado sa mga dapat na pipiliin. So ang mangyayari disposed siya ng company..

I have read an article in a Magazine FHM in the early 2000's and they discussed there that the so called class A and OEM lately as this word was not used before are indeed made in the same plant or factory. It makes sense because if the product in a plant did not passed the QC1 and QC2 what will they do with that product? Alangan naman wawasakin nila yun? Saan nila dadalhin yun? Dito na papasok ang so called class A and OEM.

These shoes are actually original they are from factories and the equipment used from these are from Nike, Adidas and other brands. They don't have enough enough proof to say it is original so they call it "OEM". Again the equipment used for these shoes are actually original, they just aren't made in the main factories. They are made in hidden or private factories and then sold for a lower price.

I bought a shirt from Taytay which has similar/the same fabric to those of Lacoste. That's why in Taytay, they call it Lacoste shirt. I went home and compared it to the original ones, they are the same materials. But can these "Lacoste" from Taytay be called original just because they have the same materials? Certainly not.
Anything that's not released by the brand/company is fake, even if the materials are the same.

All of you need to accept the fact na fakes are getting better to the point kuha na nila yung technology ng original and lastly kaya yung mga entitled peeps na galit na galit hindi lang sila dahil oem yung suot ng isang tao, galit sila dahil nag bayad sila ng pag ka lakilaki pero meron palang fake na product na kasing ganda, same technolohy and much cheaper yung presyo.

OEM is not FAKE. Not all but kalimitan.
OEM or OEM services stands for original equipment manufacturer, manufacturers providing OEM services to companies that have the idea or product and licensing them to manufacturers for them to build or produce their designs. Typical example is iPhone. Apple designs the iPhone and manufacturing companies that have the capability to make the parts of the iPhone is commissioned and licensed to produce it for Apple. Take note, licensed, meaning bounded by agreement and bawal sila gumawa ng replica or “oem” or whatsoever kasi kakasuhan sila ni Apple.
Now, taking off from the scenario above, hindi ibig sabihin na “OEM” ay fake agad. Minsan may over supply ng products ibebenta nila ito at a lower price. From an OEM service provider yung product, hindi sya fake.
Nagkataon lang na maraming manufacturing company sa kanila kaya they have the capability to produce items or products from scratch. Some of them, buys an original one, example a Nike shoes and gagayahin nila at gagawa sila ng sapatos na sobrang kapareho nito at yung ang ibebenta nila. Pero since wala silang Research and Development, hindi nila alam kung anu-anong materials ang ginamit ni Nike at methods and some “secret ingredient” ni Nike. So ending, kopya nga nila but not 100%, exact copy. Hence, “OEM”.
Pero at the end the day, kaya mahal yung mga legit products, yung R&D nun at warranty ang binabayaran.

ODM is Original Design Manufacturer. OBM is Original Brand Manufacturer.
Some of the generic products na makikita mo sa Alibaba, Lazada or Shoppee ay ODM. Tawag jan “White Labeling”. Example, mga cellphone accessories.
Meaning angbubuhos na sila ng budget for their own research and development paraa gumawa ng sarili nilang products. Pwedeng parts ng electronic devices or any product tapos sarili na nila g logo ang nakalagay instead of some other company. OEM at OBM at the same time na sila.

For me it doesn't matter if it's branded as long as the quality is good....bcoz branded products are expected to be higher in price due to the 'brand' ...it's being paid...so manufacturers might as well just make their own

Tama nman e..

Sabi niya. Sabi niya pareho lang yung orig at OEM shoes or replica shoes. She has lots of friends na nagtatrabaho sa Nike company ag and dami niyang shoes na nabibili na mura lang doon.sabi pa nya, "why would I buy orog shoes from that company, eh mas less lang ang pamasahe papunta (yung name ng country)" kaya yun natawa kami sa kanya. Ang difference ksi nila mga is ang OEM same materials that are used pero hinde tlga sila same kung paano gumawa ng shoes tulad sa material ng original. I bought OEM/OVERRUNS at Original na shoes and i compared them. For 1year same quality ang oem na bili ko pero mas natatanggal agad siya kesa sa original gaya ng sinabi ko hinde sila same kung paano gumawa sales talk nlng yan na same quality raw closest to original lol. LAHAT NG SHOES NA HINDE GALING SA BAHAY IS FAKE kahit na gayang gaya ang OEM SHOES SA ORIGINAL. FAKE YAN. Invest in the more expensive ones. I assure you they're of great quality and the materials used are the same with the ones used on the original. They're called OEM for a reason, Original Equipment Manufactured. Meaning, the materials used are the same with the original ones as I've already mentioned, it's just that the ones who made this oems chose to not go with the original design of the model, because they can be mistaken as original already and there are people out there who would take advantage of people and sell them for unreasonable price.

At the end of the day ang fake ay fake po. It’s just another way of them marketing fake products. We need to take care of our feet din po. Antayin nalang si sale kesa bumili ng fake or mag-ipon

Your opinion or debate is flawed because you are very much misinformed or should i say ignorant of the fact of what an OEM is. It's been a year and i hope you did some research.

Madalas sila mag sale, minsan 70% off free delivery pa

Hello! I won't force you to believe on what I say but almost every pair of shoes I see on FB that are called "Overruns" and "Mall pullouts" are fake.
Just don't blame me if you bought an "overrun" shoe then it turned out fake.

Oem is shoes allowed by original factories of nike, adidas etc. to go out of market because they are still earning from it, small but fast earning. Boy your lacking on something. And you know why they are selling it at a low price? because Nike has a factory in vietnam and in vietnam the labor cost is very low, tax from there is very low. look at your original nike shoes, made in vietnam, same place of supplier but different taxes to go to and defferent place to sell that thats one thing that affects the price.

This content is kinda misleading. OEM is not fake. It will not be called ORIGINAL Equipment Manufacturer if it is fake. OEM are those products that came from the same manufacturer but didn't pass the quality control that's why it is sold at a lower price. These are the ones with the wrong sizes printed on it or those with minimal damages. But these items are never fake. The problem is that sellers nowadays call their products oem even if it is not. 😊

Wrong, oem shoes means “orginal equipment manufacturer”. These shoes are real and on par with authentic ones as oem shows were sent back either because of quality defect or out of stock the shoes’s outlet. Oems are more budget friendly than the authentic ones as oems are real is because they’re not authorised by the brand of the shoe.
