- I went online to customise a pennyboard, when it arrived I wasn't too happy with the colour of the deck so I took matters into my own hands. Watch as I customise my entire set up, from the deck, to the trucks to the wheels.

Nice, all black! Unfortunately the colour of the boards on the customiser can look different on every screen, but that's the craziest variation we've seen. Glad you're happy with your Penny now and very cool video may I add!

Yeah! I mean, in all honesty I just really wanted to take it apart and paint it and try and make a really interesting narrative with it, it would have been more interesting than just buying a black deck and trucks. I was cracking up when you pushed the board over and when you got hit by the longboard and fell skating. I had shivers going down my back when you used the razor to cut the duct tape on the concrete.

Did you find paint starting to chip off at all? And did you clearcoat it at all? My deck faded out a bit from the sun, was thinking of doing this.

Does the paint rub off from use? I did a similar thing and mine keeps rubbing off. Are you using a specific paint or primer? How many coats are you doing? So many questions. I am suffering. I just want to be cool

The paint rubbed off a little.. it's 5 year later and it still looks great! I guess it depends on the quality of the paint and how well you put it on.. I definitely didn't do it right.

I went to smyths and got a black short board with red wheels on it for €20, and then put on my reds bearings, BOOM, no differences from the real one!

How did you avoid to get black painting on the penny logo in the trucks
The trucks were already black so I didn't need to paint them 👍🏼👍🏼

you deserve way more subs. the editing on your videos is amazing. the music is great and all around great videos. for every thing you do to make this happpen the amount of subs is not counting up. you deserve more for what you do

How well does that spray paint last on there?

Definitely a Casey Neistat style in there! But the glossy plastic isn't a good bond for spray paint so it might start to chip off quickly, sand it down before you put coats of paint on for any varnish finished plastic or wood
+Just Josh thanks for the tip dude, though im far too lazy to do a proper job of it :L I've used it a hand full of times since spraying it and it seems to be holding up well, a few chips here and there but im not too bothered, just though it would make a pretty cool video :)

This is actually a really good idea. Just buy the cheapest one from the company, and just customize it this way; it saves you a lot of money! For the black paint spray, where did you buy that from? Also why did you apply 1 coat of paint and then waited the next day to apply the 2nd? Are you suppose to do it that way or which is the best way? Finally, when you put it back together, do you have to tighten everything or are there some parts that should be loose. Loved the short film btw :) Thanks in advance.

Did the paint wear off over time?
A little yeah but it's held itself together much better than I first anticipated.
this was sickkk i think i'm going to have to spraypaint my deck and trucks black at some point mines a light blue blue and it hurts my eyes lmao

I'm pretty sure I've answered this question a bunch of times in the other comments, I didn't use super high quality stuff, I didn't do it the right way at all so I'm not the right person to be giving you advice, sorry dude, but one thing I will tell you is use primer first! The paint will work better with the surface that way.
