RSV4 | TechSpec Tank Grips | Install

Installing TechSpec Tank Grips on the 2021+ Aprilia RSV4. The same process applies to the 2021+ Tuono V4.

I do not recommend the front tank pad, as it turns out the corners cannot adhere properly, and they keep lifting. I do like how it looks, so I might end up cutting the corners or using some decal glue to keep it in place. Here is the link for it:

I believe you can combine painter’s tape and duct tape to do the original technique : stick duct tape under the tank pad (so the sticky part will be towards you) and then use painter’s tape as a link between the duct tape sticking out of the pad and the tank, so the sticky part of the duct tape won’t touch the tank or the pads
I don’t know if what I said makes sense lol but maybe it could be more reliable than the second technique

I’m pinning your comment as it is a good idea. I won’t know if it is a better technique than the second one I did until I use your technique on my next tank pad install, but one thing is for sure that it’s a better technique than the first one I did. ✌️

I’ve seen the Puig ones. They look good, I just wanted something that has that same Aprilia logo on it or something red. I’ll look into it. ✌️

Tasteful mods! You seem to have done all the mods I’ve done on your RS660 as I did except I never changed my triple-tree. I’ve started on modding my 2021 RSV4 Factory and anticipate your videos for all the mods that I am not so comfortable with (like EVAP canister removal & velocity stacks). Can’t wait to see your video on those.
