      Do you have any links or images to this sign? I wasn't around the time these trains were first introduced to this line, I am just very curious as to what that sign would have looked like.

    Damn it Joe, hitting me in the feels with the Almond Joys. I miss those cars so much. A part of me died when they got retired

    If the M-3s had PA systems.
    2:33 First M-3: This is a Frankford Bound B skip-stop train. The next stop is 13th Street. Step in and watch the doors.
    4:52 Second M-3: This is a Frankford Bound A skip-stop train. The next stop is 13th Street. Step in and watch the doors.
    5:47 Third M-3: This is a Frankford Bound A skip-stop train. The next stop is 13th Street. Step in and watch the doors.
    6:20 Fourth M-3: This is a 69th Street bound A skip-stop train. The next stop is 30th Street. Step in and watch the doors.

    Good video man I use to ride the market Frankford line when I lived in Philadelphia before moving to Oregon in 96 good times and this is history keep up the good videos of the market Frankford line

    Definitely the late 90's, people walking with their eye's forward, people making eye contact and people reading books and newspapers on the train!!

      No, at least, not by me. The El footage was shot to show the transition between the old and new equipment over that time period. The BSL beat me to it by a good 15 years.... I was only 11/12 when the B-IV's came in.

    1977 to 1999 they got rid of the old market Frankford line and put the new one way better

      I'm afraid not. I've pretty much posted all the best of my VHS period stuff (1996-2000) already. This El video series is the last of it.
