Do you have any links or images to this sign? I wasn't around the time these trains were first introduced to this line, I am just very curious as to what that sign would have looked like.
You are the GOAT. Thank you for every one of these gems that you have recorded and uploaded. I feel like a kid and reliving my childhood again watching these videos.

Good video man I use to ride the market Frankford line when I lived in Philadelphia before moving to Oregon in 96 good times and this is history keep up the good videos of the market Frankford line
OK so this was how its done... gonna definitely try these camera filming/recording techniques for my next SEPTA ride... and our septa announcer girl hasn't aged!!
No, at least, not by me. The El footage was shot to show the transition between the old and new equipment over that time period. The BSL beat me to it by a good 15 years.... I was only 11/12 when the B-IV's came in.
I will never forget that sign saying, welcome to your NEW EL

Damn it Joe, hitting me in the feels with the Almond Joys. I miss those cars so much. A part of me died when they got retired
Three more parts to go.....

7:00 wow I guess when the Budds went the conductors went with them too?
That is correct, yes.
Lol that weird sound the el train motor made once it stopped and once it took off lol
The M-4 didn’t have a delay on doors closing when the announcement sounded.
Ahhh I remember the good old days when the M-4’s were the shiniest train on the MFL
Ikr
Where did the time go? Now they don't even have plush seats anymore.
Good video man I use to ride the market Frankford line when I lived in Philadelphia before moving to Oregon in 96 good times and this is history keep up the good videos of the market Frankford line
So did the M4's operate under the old block signal system for a short while?
Yes, they did.
OK so this was how its done... gonna definitely try these camera filming/recording techniques for my next SEPTA ride... and our septa announcer girl hasn't aged!!
I'm still trying to figure out who voiced the el?
Definitely the late 90's, people walking with their eye's forward, people making eye contact and people reading books and newspapers on the train!!
Such a different time, eh? lol
*eyes*
Omg the M4s. I remember when they came and those cushy seats lol.
Back when Skip stops were useful!
By any chance is there a BSL version of this lol

@@trainman1971Those Budd M-3s have the same doors as the Kawasaki B-4s of the Broad Street Subway.
1977 to 1999 they got rid of the old market Frankford line and put the new one way better
Any trolley flashback videos coming?
I'm afraid not. I've pretty much posted all the best of my VHS period stuff (1996-2000) already. This El video series is the last of it.
@@trainman1971 I feel bad for You
@@trainman1971 can I use this Video & the Trolley Vdeo For a Commercial Pls
I can't wait to see a part 5 i can't wait to see it soon
AHHHHHHHHHHH I LIKE THE M3 BUDD ALMOND JOYCARS AND THE M4 ADTRANZ MFL RAILCARS
Question, do you have more videos of the buses from the 90s that we haven't seen yet?
None other than what I have posted on here in other vids. 1996 is as far back as I get.
Oh, ok. I was curious because you drop the gems out of nowhere. They're very good surprises.
This has to be taken around 1998
