Enjoyed watching this tutorial the most out of all the Affinity Lockdown presentations, it inspired me to have a go at using the assets provided and creating my own short video. ruclips.net/video/8b-JbHeILZo/видео.html Not having After Effects or Spine available I decide to use the Open Source App Blender for all the animations and Video Sequencing. I used Affinity Designer with Bob's Shizzle Pack (Great fun applying different Styles) for the texturing the scene and the Slicer Export for continuous updates. As far as I'm aware Blender does not support live image uploads so a short python script was used to reload all images when required. So get Blender and Bob's Tutorial a go!
I hate to say it but I often lose the will to live whilst watching some people's tutorials. But Bob 'The Shizzle' Byrne's vids are always entertaining and informative. They're little gems.
Did the IPad version only continuously export to the Mac because they are both Apple? I can’t for the life of me figure out how to do it from iPad to windows In a way that the continuous export will work
When enabling the continuous export in Affinity Designer and when I change some things, It updates the PNG slice files in the After Effects project window but not in the composition preview window. I need to restart AE or close & open the project, then the changes appear.
hi, thanks for your really inspiring tutorial. on time 02:52, how did you connect the file from the iPad to the desktop while keeping the continuous export of the slice? thank you very much for your time
Okay, this looks good. However, within the first three minutes you have a facility available on the Mac that doesn't seem to be on Windows. There is no Share option under the File Menu.
Team! Can you please publish a fitness photo editing complete tutorial from beginner to advanced? Either on RUclips or on the official website. That would be great!
as mentioned in another post, in the create document window (where you choose the size) tick the box that says transparent background. It's a pain but what can you do? haha
How the heck did you change the rectangle into an object with a curved top (and the line you had drawn before that)? I saw you change to the Node Tool (I assume by pressing the "A" key), but didn't see you click the "Convert to Curves" button? I'm not just interested because of the rectangle, specifically, but because of what it will allow me to do with ALL shapes. FWIW, I've been using Designer for awhile, but there is still A LOT I don't know about it and the shortcuts you take for granted are HUGE timesavers I just don't know how to do (and because they are outside my experience/knowledge, don't even THINK to try). Thanks for the great, and horizon expanding, video! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Even more, what was the process you used to create the "snow cap" on the building around 13:00? Maybe you could do a video on "Designer productivity tricks for dummies" for people like me?
Really cool tutorial and very fun to watch! I just have a question about exporting: Apparently Designer 1.83 on Windows doesn't have the File>Share option in the menubar. Also I didn't get how to export slices in realtime. I've worked with the feature but I currently need to switch to export persona and export each slice manually to update the files. Is there another way to simplify the workflow?
Hey! yes that must only be on iOS. You need to export once with Continuous Export on and then once the file is open the slices will export. New tutorial coming to my RUclips channel very soon
I Use your 'The Shizzle - Affinity Designer Style and Asset Pack' and in this video at 11:42 minutes I see you change the size for only the texture layer. How does this work?
We REALLY need some app for animation made by Afiinity
Awesome tutorial, man! To the point and super funny. I loved your humor and accent. Cheers from Portugal.
I watch it with CC on, which makes some parts really hilarious. Thanks for the humorous insight into what works.

How do I export a complex layered and masked character seamlessly into Moho Pro? Does anyone know?
So can I make animations just using Affinity Designer?
