So you're like flagging but not when it woukd take less moves not to ? And like the double button clicking technique too ? 69 seconds is insane ! How long have you been minesweeping ?
I think I've always had the intuition when it comes to playing this game (it was one of the few games my grandpa had on his Windows XP computer when I was in elementary school), but I started grinding it in mid-2019. And you're right, the "only flag when it makes you faster" thing has to do with efficiency. If you look on the right, there's a bunch of statistics. Relevant ones are 3BV (the number of left clicks it would take to solve the board) and IOE (index of efficiency, a measure of the number of clicks I'm taking -- i.e., more than necessary, which is why it's like 0.6).
@@jovilly Thanks for the detailled response ! Is there a reason sometimes tiles appear to be revealing but actually don't reveal and revert back to their unclicked state ? Is it like the technique where you kinda slide and hold two mouse buttons adn release one then another for flagging then revealing ? I've heard of some technique like that and ig you use it ?
@@myrmyxo If you chord (right+left click) on a square (with number n) that doesn't have all n mines flagged, the surrounding unflagged/unrevealed squares do the animation but don't reveal. I think if you move the mouse off the square that you're chording before releasing the click, it has the same effect. (if you can't tell I'm a math major lmao)

Nice! Just 2.35 Times faster to tie with the world record!
Yep! I got 54.06s a few months ago so it's around 1.9x now, but the WR is ~29s -- I'll never get close T^T
Its been like 9 years and idk how this game work lmao

here's the best explanation of how the game works I could find on the internet: minesweeper.online/help/gameplay
