  • How to replace a broken driver rear view mirror. This is a Saab 93 2006 but the process should be fairly similar with any other cars. And the process is fairly the same for the driver side and other mirrors in the car. Make sure to use necessary protection and precaution as you are working with glass. As you saw I did not use any kind of solvents to remove the mirror and it came out just fine. You can use light solvents to dissolve the old adhesive at your own risk but if you do so use the necessary precautions like gloves, face mask ,respirator and protect you and any other parts of your car. If any moment of following this video you don't feel comfortable performing the task make sure you take it to a professional.
Remember that this video is only intended as an aid from DIYer to DIYer. Make sure that you use your service manual to get instructions on the task at hand and if at any point you do not feel confident in the task at hand contact a professional mechanic.

Thank You for sharing ! For some odd reason, I hadn't even considered removing the broken glass while on the assembly ! Thank You. I also didn't think to use a C-clamp to ensure it properly glues on. Thank You. It's all Good and Bonus for replacing the mirror in inclement weather. Stay Safe and continue with the videos. Thanx again.

Not once at any point did you say to yourself " hey this doesn't seem right, maybe I'm doing something wrong." Or even bother to search for the proper way to do it

You should have added Major before your fail. I'm surprised he didn't cut himself removing the broken pieces. What an idiot is also) that came to mind... Well it was a laugh watching this.

Ok, first off, loud music and quiet narration is recipe for a terrible
viewing experience. Second: now lets be honest here... this is clearly
your first time doing this right? Do you think you should be publishing
"how to" videos when this is what anyone would do for their first crack
at this? Lastly, it doesn't help anyone when you basically just say
"Remove old mirror anyway you want, Prep the surface however you want,
install the new mirror and don't break it while doing it". But thanks
    for trying, i guess.

Yes, the loud music in particular is thoroughly obnoxious.

Ok man I know better than answer some troll on the internet. But im bored it was my first time changing a mirror on a saab yes. It also was one of the first videos I did. But I worked on blackhawk helicopters for 6 years in the army as well as one deployment in afghanistan. I am by no means a professional car mechanic nor do I want to be i am just DIYer trying to share some of the shit I picked up little by little. But tell me foxtrot when was the last time you worked on a 20 million dollar + machine ?
