    I was happy to see you post again. As a gay man pushing 70, I am not your intended audience, but I am interested and sympathetic to your story, and happy to follow along.
    I too went through a long period when I found it difficult to work out. My career had taken over. But, eventually, I was able to start to train again. A second career simply demanded that I do it to counteract the stress. Despite your disclaimer, you remain...handsome.
    Blessings to you and yours.

    Oh Dade it's lovely to hear from you again! Thank you so much. It must be so hard for you right now in some ways. I too started rather late in life, I understand about taking T and then starting to decline. I hope you know you are aging into a respectable and beautiful older man. Muscles aren't everything that makes a man handsome and impressive - but even so, you still have an impressive frame and gorgeous forearms. I hope you know that. Your transition has touched my heart in a special way, as I see many similarities between us. I wish you all the best in the world. I'm glad to hear your family is doing well. Good luck in Grad school! A big, big supportive COVID-aware hug from your long time follower here.

    It's been over 5 years for us, and I forget all the time now that my husband is trans, much in the same way that once you hit 30, you forget how old you are. It does just become, "not a thing," somewhere in the middle. He's been having recent trouble with his shot also, and I expect that we'll have to explore solutions in the years to come. So glad to see you're doing well and good luck with finding the right form of T for you.

    I tried sub q in my tummy, and it was the WORST pain! I switched back to intramuscular after that 1 time. It hurt going in, it hurt for an hour, it hurt every time I bumped it even 2 weeks later. Made a huge knot. Crazy. I have to use my glutes because the leg muscles are too thick and I can barely do those. I go for top surgery next week, I've waited 3 years! It's good to see u, I wish you guys would make some family videos but I understand you're busy right now. Maybe down the road. Take care!

    If injections isn't completely off the table, have you looked into Nebido? Injections every 12-14 weeks. A lot less frequent and it's in some gluteal muscle, not the thigh. A healthcare professional have do the shot though.

    • @taylorbrookes3546
      @taylorbrookes3546 4 года назад +2

      CosmicWanship this is a standard method of testosterone in the UK. Been on it for 3.5 years (gel before that) and it's so much easier. One injection every 12 weeks. It does hurt, and it's uncomfortable for a few days, but then you have 11.5 weeks of not having to think about it. Would highly recommend!

    • @synonymous_
      @synonymous_ 4 года назад

      @@taylorbrookes3546 Damn. is it like a sore muscle? Nebido and gel are the standart here in Germany too, I can't decide which one I want to do though... Is it true that the gel stays on your hand and you can't touch anyone for a few hours? I have a couple of pets so that could be a problem for me...

    • @CosmicWanship
      @CosmicWanship 4 года назад +2

      @@synonymous_ It is standard here in Norway as well. I prefered Nebido, but had to go on gel for other unrelated reasons. The shot stings for a few seconds and it is uncomfortable to sit in some positions for a day or three, but then there are three months of not having to think about it!

    Do you guys have Androgell or any form of gell in the US? A year and a half back I got sick of the pain with the shots and my muscle were always twitching anyway because of it. So I decided to take testosterone in the form of a gell you put on your shoulder/bisceps or stomach. I'm from The Netherlands and we have that here, we also have a T shot that lasts for over 3 months.

    How time flies! This year has been my 6th on testosterone and at this point, even with lower surgery left, transition is just not something I think about. I've been watching your videos for these eight years and they're always helpful and insightful.
    Have you considered pellets or Nebido? Last I heard pellets were being covered by some insurance in the US and Nebido had started being sold as Aveed. I think it's a lower dose than Nebido but even then you'd only get one injection on the glute every 2-3 months. That said, it's still an injection and still a literal pain in the ass. I'd imagine pellets are just as much of a pain...
    This reminds me of a study published about testicular implants with testosterone release, tried in rats (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5507088/). Who knows if this is something we could benefit from in the future for long-term testosterone release, especially as their goal is to design a hollow implant you can keep for life just re-injecting testosterone as needed (not that that sounds like a pleasant injection either lol).
